Ch. 1

'This is so wrong. I am not your wife!!' Lana gathered all her courage to walk down the aisle. Suddenly she pivoted half-way, leaving her heels just like Cinderella. She ran as fast as she could while wearing the poofy gown. She instantly regret her choice of dress.

Going back to the car that drove her to this mess, she unintentionally shouted at the driver and hold on his collar tight until it's disheveled. "You took me to the wrong church! It was embarrasing!!"

The hired driver was bewildered, "Ma'am? It was the address Mrs. Xi gave me. How was it my fault!?" He argued.

Now they're just fighting at whose at liable for this mess.

"Anyways, take me to the nearest church to this." Lana opened up her phone and called her mother.

"I-I don't know any--"

"HUH!? You don't know any more churches!? What are you? A devil!?"

The engine turned on, the driver stepped on the gas without caution that sent Lana crashing on the dashboard.

"Oops. Buckle up your seatbelt. Hehe." The mocking irked Lana, especially when her mother's phone was suddenly 'service unavailable'.

'I can't believe this is happening to me.' Lana screamed internally.

What would her groom think? That she ditched him in front of many people, the altar? "So cliché." She facepalmed.

"We are here."

Immediately, Lana rushed outside and forcefully opened the doors by herself. It revealed the annoyed guests, angered parents and her dejected groom

She continued to walk down, all eyes on her. Tears started to form and fall off her face. Even though she looked scruffy, she didn't care at all.

"Finally! There she is!" Their eyes glimmer of hope. Thinking that the wedding can now continue.

...or so they thought..

"I believe I said that you are my bride." A deep, husky voice boomed the halls. The kind of voice that is very recognizable, unforgettable-- the voice that she heard earlier.

"There was a misunderstanding earlier! Why are you here?" Lana is not exhilarated at the moment. She's starting to think that the guy is just messing with her, them.

"What is the problem here, Lana?" An angry groom marched forward and stood between them.

Just before she could explain the scenario,

"The problem is you. I am her groom." He snatched Lana and carried her bridal style. She tried to struggle away from him. Key word: tried.

"No, baby. You're never escaping me. You 'are' sold to me. You are mine." His dark, depressing voice sent shivers to her voice.

"What do you--"

Realization hit her. Her parents not around, they're obviously involved.

She bit his ear causing him to let go, "And what? Tell me that those people were 'paid actors'!? That man is my fiancé, we have been together and dating for full 5 years! Stop making me laugh."

"Hm~ I guess we should go straight for our honeymoon, our wedding can be done later." He held her wrist tightly that will surely leave a mark later.

'It hurts, you simpleton!'

"Let me go!" Lana shrieked. Many things are going on her mind, circling around like a roulette.

"Straight to the car, off to the church" He said in a singsong voice, sitting right next to the stunned Xi Lana.
