Brother's Feud.

Before then,

The guards present at the entrance of the Shao Mansion had seen two cars driving towards the gate, as usual, they were already at alert. The cars came to a halt, a guard dressed in a well-pressed black suit came out of one of the vehicles; without a flinch in his baritone voice,

"Master Liwei asks to grant passage."

The moment those words came out of his almost tightly pursed lip, the guards widened their eyes in awe.

One of the guards made his way into the Mansion to go convey to them what was waiting, he saw Lan Shang and Master Shao present in the living room, gasping for air while he spoke,

"Coughs... Coughs... Mas...Master Liwei is here."

The reaction he got was as expected, a long time family rival coming to visit unexpectedly, what was the motive?

Before he knew it, he felt a cold vibe from behind, he turned around and saw two men glaring deeply into each other. This was not just any glare, a lethargic one.

The guard, swinging his index finger between the men questionably, with awestricken gawk;

How? When? Why didn't I hear footsteps? The good days of the Shao's are over! He lamented inwardly and glanced at the two unremorseful men before he vamoosed out of sight, he couldn't take on the ferocious air any longer.

Liwei curled his lips, and made to proceed before the cold voice of Shao Jinhai halted him on track;

"Why have you come?" Shao Jinhai asked without taking his eyes off him or cringe for once.

Anyone who lived within the fences of the Shao Mansion knew the massive amount of hatred these two shared, it was surprising they were able to hide it from the media after that accident years ago. His showing up now, clearly means something fishy is being orchestrated beneath.

,

Liwei let out a burst of witty laughter, he stopped abruptly, veered towards Master Shao and Lan Shang and bowed.

"Forgive my manners, Father." Both Lan Shang and Master Shao weren't moved by his mannerism, he was throwing a big act, such sarcasm. Liwei turned to face Shao Jinhai with a wide smile on his face, which made Shao Jinhai irked like he already had it and would strike him a punch at any given time from that moment.

"Little brother, you don't have to be furious," Liwei began.

"I do not share any relation with you, and what are you doing here?" Shao Jinhai was beginning to lose it, with every glance he takes of him; he wants to rage on him, he wants to pounce on him and smash his annoying face into several pieces, but Liwei never stops giving him that displeasing smile.

"How pesky?" Liwei teased, Lan Shang rolled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Chan Juan was sick and tired of sulking to herself only in the room. She strolled down to the door and opened it; behold she saw something that caught her curiosity. She saw a look-alike of the female servant she saw at the temple the other day during the thanksgiving, Chan Juan arched a brow. It was very unexpected to see her all of a sudden walking down the hallway, even if it was just her backside, Chan Juan's instincts were sure not to deceive her.

She decided to test by going after her; Chan Juan tried calling her attention but it was all abortive. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't meet up to her pace.

"Strange!" Chan Juan took a pause and exclaimed while she was panting so hard.

"How on Earth did she manage to walk so fast?" Chan Juan questioned no one with hands akimbo, that was when she noticed she was no longer in the building.

That moment she felt someone's hand on her shoulder, it felt very cold and sent her strange chills which caused her eyes to slightly pop out. Slowly turning around, she saw her, with a wide smile on. This time Chan Juan's head was dazed, last time age checked, she was the one running after her and now she's showing up behind her. She hated to admit it because she didn't believe in paranormal stuff one bit, but it was nearly creepy.

"Looking for me?" The female servant asked, Chan Juan, gulped. Why does she sound creepy too? She thought inwardly.

Back to the living room,

Everyone was already seated, the air was so heavy and uneasy. Liwei began,

"I missed everything about this place, the air, the memories, and of course you." He said looking directly at Shao Jinhai who was sending him deadly gazes. Shao Jinhai scoffed,

"You're lucky to have this one opportunity, mope on the so-called 'memories' and 'air' as long you might like, just know this is going to be the last." The air grew heavier again.

Liwei let out another sarcastic laughter,

"Are you still furious over an issue that has curtailed?" Liwei asked this time he hit the nail on the head. Shao Jinhai clenched his hand so hard, he disdained the fact that he was acting so innocent, he was a devil in disguise.

Shao Jinhai smirked slightly, brushing his chin with his index finger,

"I also wonder why you aren't happy with the fact that you don't belong here. I mean, you existed a bad omen to this family, " Liwei's heart was struck when he heard those words, curling his fist at the effort of suppressing his resentment. On seeing his mannerism,

"I am amazed at how you got wealthy so quickly on your own in just a few years unless you didn't do something dirty underneath."

"Oh little brother, how could you blatantly accuse me of such ill acts?" And Liwei waves it off like it was nothing.

Shao Jinhai stood up and strolled towards Liwei, in other to have a better view of each other, and said in a very calm but lethargic tone

"This is not an accusation Liwei, and I promise to bring you down no matter what it takes me."

Master Shao and Lang Shang watched the both of them as they were head-on each other

"I think that's enough!" Master Shao exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Chan Juan was still caught in her reverie, the person before her no longer looked like a human. Visibly, she was more of what you could describe as a living ghost. Pale skin, saggy eyes, rickety fingers, and the cold demeanour was all she could read. Chan Juan had the intense urge to run but she just couldn't even move. She watched the eerie creature stretch forth her hands, murmuring words she couldn't hear. Chan Juan felt she had experienced a similar occurrence but can't remember because all that stormed her head that moment was; how to escape.
