Chan Juan's mouth hanged open, her doe eyes widened, as her hazel brown Iris shone and her pupil contrasted and dilated at a time.

"What?!"

Then, Eu Meh barged in, she looked icely at Chan Juan, a normal thing she does almost all the time they meet. She didn't have a good relationship with her. Eu Meh happened to be her father's wife.

Nevertheless, she couldn't deny that she had pure ethereal beauty, her skin was fair and subtle.

Her plump lips trembling in fear, and terror,

"What has happened to my daughter? Tell me Zhiqiang! What has happened to my poor Daiyu?!" She yelled across the large office, which thankfully was sound proof, so her noises couldn't penetrate through.

"Calm down Eu Meh, you can see we are trying our best here. The police has started to patrol the city and Guo Qiang is trying to reach the surveillance system agencies."

"Oh my goodness! This can't be happening, just three days to the wedding and she has been kidnapped. What will be our fate now? A once in a lifetime golden opportunity is easily slipping our hands."

Eu Meh lamented, lowering her eyebrows which was later accompanied by a wince.

Chan Juan was lost, she didn't even know what to say, it all happened so fast. She could hardly process how she had gotten to the company. Even after hearing that Guo Daiyu was kidnapped. For no reason she was more confused, in a suspicious sort of way.

Guo Zhiqiang just finished making a phone call, and came to sit on the swivel chair, restless.

"What are we going tell the Shao Family? I can't believe this is happening" Guo Zhiqiang uttered, he was at sixes and sevens at the moment.

Then Guo Qiang excited voice came in,

"I've been granted access to the surveillance cameras"

"Good, go through every one of them if you'd see anyone like her, Chan Juan you can go back home, now" Chan Juan nodded meekly and left.

Later in the evening, at Dexin Villa,

The outside was bright and shone with lights, and had the warmest view, but inside was as cold as winter. Still have heard nothing from the police, or the kidnappers, at least to ask for a ransom. Chan Juan was in her room, she was doing her possible best to avoid been flooded by Eu Meh's articulate curses.

Eu Meh rushed out from the hallway right behind the spiral staircase,

"I just got a call from the Shao family, they called to ask if Daiyu was alright." Eu Meh said looking worried and sick.

"If we even continue like this, and they find out. I'm sure they'll call off the wedding and even if the kidnappers eventually put up a ransom how would we pay?" Guo Qiang squinted, scrunching his head over his shoulders.

Eu Meh slumped on the couch, she looked at nothing in particular for a while.

"What to do now?" Guo Zhiqiang rubbed his head.

Then Eu Meh snapped her fingers.

"I have an idea" she widened her eyes in a peculiar manner.

The Father and son pair looked at each other, wondering the idea she had come up with.

"What is it?" Guo Zhiqiang asked dryly, while he balanced his buttock on the couch.

"Let's get Chan Juan married into the Shao family" Eu Meh spilled the beans.

"What!" The two men chorused.

"Have you suddenly gone crazy?" Guo Zhiqiang asked surprisingly.

Eu Meh waved her hands,

"It's a blind wedding, they haven't seen each other yet, and besides once they get married, we could easily raise up some money for my Daiyu's ransom. Later we find a better suitor for her."

Guo Qiang shook his head negatively,

"Mother. That isn't just right, how can you..." Eu Meh cut him off.

"Shut your silly mouth, how can you question your mother? Chan Juan is getting married to Shao Jinhai, no more arguments"

Guo Zhiqiang gazed at Eu Meh surprisingly, how she had come up with such vast idea was a mystery?

"Who is getting married to Shao Jinhai?"

Chan Juan walked towards them with slight gait. Eu Meh stood up,

"Good thing you're here, we are getting you married to Shao Jinhai, the first son of the Shao family."

Chan Juan fine line eyebrows squeezed together causing a frown, which was accompanied by her tone of utter disapproval.

"What?! There's no way I'm getting married into that family"

Guo Zhiqiang shook his head and rubbed his temple,

"Chan Juan. Come see me in my library" Guo Zhiqiang stood up and left, leaving furious Eu Meh, confused Chan Juan and Guo Qiang who was somewhere in the middle of both expressions.

"You dare disobey me you little brat, learn to know your place in this house, You illegitimate good for nothing child." Eu Meh snared.

"Mother!" Eu Meh glared at Guo Qiang.

"I'm not an illegitimate" Chan Juan summoned all her courage only to mutter the words beneath her tongue

Eu Meh gazed meticulously at Chan Juan,

scrutinizing her every part in a disgusted manner.

"What did you say? Did you just talk back at me?"

Immediately Chan Juan regretted she ever said anything and bite on her own tongue shamefully.
