Dying in pain

The sun was rising the birds were chirping and Alex's mom was cooking breakfast for the day, his dad was drinking coffee while listening to the news, and his 8-year-old sister was eating cookies.

Alex woke up after smelling the fragrant smell of food that his mom was making, he could already imagine eating it deliciously it made Alex's mouth droll.

"Alex get down here and eat breakfast while it's still hot!"

"Coming mom!"

They say their prayers and ate their food while eating the news reporters suddenly said something that catches the attention of Alex

"We again found a woman's body not so far from the police station, how could a serial killer do this without the police knowing. The serial killer also removes the victim's faces"

Alex felt like throwing up after listening to the news it was a gruesome murder and new for the Philippines to have, especially for their President Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte is known to be the best President Philippines to have because of how fast the drug rate in the Philippines decreased and also murders, robberies, and even corrupt officials.

"What is wrong with this serial killer for them to even remove the skin from their victims, does robbing them of their life isn't enough?" -Alex thought.

Alex finished eating breakfast and washed the dishes he then took a bath because he needs to buy groceries for this week, his mom gave him money, then Alex proceeds to go to the mall he brought a basket so he can store the groceries in it. Alex carefully chose the high-quality meat and also affordable he continued doing this till the groceries are enough for a week.

"It's so hot -Alex thought while walking home, he checks his money if it was enough for a ride home but he realizes the change from the money he got was missing he then retraced his steps to find the change. but doing this Alex saw a dark big figure holding a knife while chasing a woman down the streets the killer then catches up to the woman Alex stared at them from far away.

" PLEASE DON'T KILL ME, I WILL GIVE YOU EVERYTHING I HAVE, SO PLEASE DON'T KILL ME"

Alex heard everything and saw everything he couldn't just stand there doing nothing even if costs his life he will save this woman, Alex ran to them shouting.

"Hey! stop that or I will call the police," said Alex but the killer still didn't stop it is like the killer wanted to kill the woman so badly that he doesn't even pay attention to what Alex was saying. Alex then tried getting the knife from the killer's hands.

"Hey, why are you doing this? you do not need to do this" Alex was struggling to hold on to the knife of the killer, the woman was so terrified that she couldn't even run. "HEY RUN AWAY!" Alex shouted at her and she jolted at how loud his voice was as she stood up and run while dialing 911.

"HEY! HELP!" Alex shouted at some people but they just turn a blind eye "what? why didn't they help me? is this the way I will die? I even saved a woman but they wouldn't even save me? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why?

Why? aren't you helping me?" Alex madly thought.

The killer finally got the knife from Alex's grip he then sliced Alex's throat and ran in the opposite direction of the woman he wanted to kill.

"That was pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic, pathetic."

Alex was mumbling it over and over and over again "it hurts, why did I help that woman in the first place? if I just did the same thing those people did to me I could have lived, no it was the right decision, yes I did the right thing."

Alex heard the ambulance and police sirens coming closer he also couldn't stay awake from blood loss they put him on a stretcher and tried everything they can to save the young hero but they couldn't do it.

Alex died while still holding on to the dog tag of the killer, the police then examine the dog tag and find it is from an army veteran they also find out that this man was arrested for ****, murder, and drug trafficking they arrested him after a couple of days. Alex's family was crying at the funeral of him
