Chapter 37

The words that Clayton just said made me wonder. After that little talk at Felix's room, we went back to my room to sleep. Honestly, I could barely sleep, I'm still thinking about Felix. I just can't understand why Clayton said that he went to there house.

'Is Chris somehow related to Felix? I want to know.'

I sighed and looked at the kid who's sleeping soundly at my left side. He's holding of my shirt with his right while holding one of my toy on his left hand. I smiled then fixed our blanket.

I tried to free my mind from thoughts. I forced myself to sleep.

Today, I took Clayton back to their house. It's Sunday today, Chris doesn't have work. I want to ask her something. About what Clayton told me. I know, he might me wrong with it but I still want to clarify it. I want to talk to Chris personally.

I was focused on driving when my phone beeped. Someone texted me. My phone was at my bag beside Clayton, so I asked him for it. "Brat, open my phone." He nodded and did I wht I told him to do. "Who is it?"

I saw him frown in my peripheral vision. "I can't read it!" He said honestly.

"Spell it."

"Hmm... F... E... L... I... X!" Oh it's him, lately, the messages he sent, decreases.

"Oh, it's Felix." Maybe he's busy. I should really ask Chris about him. Because, what if it's true? That he know Chris. Oh wait, I haven't thought about this! A sudden thought pop out of my mind.

'What if those two are in a relationship? I haven't told Chris about my brothers yet! Of course she wouldn't know about them! Holy crap, that made sense!'

"Tsk, I knew it." I mumbled. Stupid me! That could

be the reason!

"Knew what?" Clayton asked me.

I shook my head. "Nothi---" mh phone beeped again. "From him again?"

"Nope!"

I frowned. "Eh? Then, from whom?"

"Hmm... C... A... L... I.... X!"

I can't believe it. "Calix? What?" Good thing there wasn't any car around. I stopped the car and looked at my phone and it was indeed Calix who texted. I can't believe it. That brother of mine never bother to text me first! If he does, the message must be something so important!

When I opened the message, I was so shocked. The messages contained nothing but...

"Good morning? Seriously? Calix?" I sighed and at my bag. Clayton looked at me with curiosity.

"Who's that?"

"My brother." I said. I started the engine and drove again. "Don't mind it, it's nothing important."

"Oh, your brothers." He said. "The twins that you told me?"

"Yep."

Wait, yeah. I remember. Calix and Felix are twins! They looked exactly the same. What if it's Calix who Clayton saw? But that jerk is so damn busy with his job. It's hard to imagine that it was him.

'Shit, I'm confused as fuck.'

We reached Clayton's house few minutes after that. Clayton immediately hopped out of the car as soon as I parked. I saw him knocking at their door. Chris opened it and hugged his son.

'Chris is here.'

I got out from the car and Chris saw me. "Uele!"

"Hey." I walked towards their direction and patted Clayton's head. "I brought him here safe."

She smiled. "I know you will." She lifted her son and Clayton wrapped her with his arms. "Come in." She invited, I gladly followed.

My first initial plan was I would go straight home after bringing the brat here but I changed it. I want to talked to Chris. I want to clarify the thought that keeps banging my head. She prepared coffee for me and we stayed at the living room while Clayton was playing beside us.

"So..." she open up the conversation. "You want to talked to me?" She asked. Last night, I gave her a call that I'll bring her son back and before hanging up, I told her I want to talk to her.

"Yeah." I said. I sipped my coffee then took out my phone. I opened my gallery and showed her the picture. "Do you know either one of them?"

She frowned while staring at the picture. I spoke again. "This are my twin brothers." I pointed Felix." He's currently working at Laliona as a professor." Then I pointed Calix. "He's working as a doctor, same city."

"Huh? Wait can you explain further?" I think she's confused with what I'm saying

"Actually, Clayton told me that someone came here before and he told me that, that person looked like my brother Felix. But it could be also Calix since they're twins." She looked at me. "I was wondering if you know. I mean... I was curious about it." I honestly said.

She folded her arms at her chest and frowned as if she's thinking of something. "Hmm... maybe my son's wrong." She said.

'Oh, I was wrong too if that's the case.2'

She spoke again. "Maybe, he meant this. Wait, I'll go get something." She stood up and went to her room. "Wait, Uele!"

"Sure!" I said. I talked to Clayton while waiting for her.

It took her almost fifteen minutes before returning and she was holding something. She went near me. "Look! They somehow looked a like, right?" She said as she showed me a picture of a man looking somehow the same as the twins. My eyes widened.

"Wait! Wait! Who's this?" I asked her.

"Ah... one of my workmates." She said. "Maybe Clayton was talking about him and not your brothers. I'm sorry Uele if my son's bo---" I cut her off.

"Can I meet him?" I said in broken voice.

She raised her eyebrow. "Huh?"

I pointed the picture. "That man, I want to talk to him." I said.

That picture kept on hunting me till I left Chris' house. I must talk to that guy. Chris told me that she'll make time for us to talk. He may not be Felix nor Calix but... I still need to talk to him. I think, he's one of the key answers of my biggest question. Ever since I got to know the truth, I'm secretly looking for hints and clues. I even kept this from my family. I'm sure, they'll never liked what I'm doing. Nevertheless, I don't care. This must be the real lead to find them.

'I want to deal with this before dealing with my alpha.'

And so, 2 days has passed. I bowed my head as I thank Mr. Lauro, our taekwondo teacher. "Thank you, sir!"

I lifted my head and I sawhis sad expression. He flashes a smile. "You can still come here if you want." He sighed. "Seriously, Kyle, I don't want you to quit. You are one of my most treasured members here. You still have few months left before graduating, why not quit when you graduate?"

"I'm sorry, sir. These passed few months, I didn't have the chance to visit here more often. I even stop from my training regimen. I'm too busy."

He sighed. "I understand, you're a graduating student. Anyway, take care, Kyle. Visit here if you want."

"Of course, thank you sir."

I went out of the room after that. I'm really hesitating if I would do this but I must do this. I'm lacking with my responsibilities as an athlete. Beside from Taekwondo club, I also quit Swimming club. Same reason, I'm too busy to joined them.

I saw Amanda waiting for me at the bench. We have no classes anymore, she accompanied me while Leo went to their uncle's bookstore. Lately, he's always been there. As far as I know, he officially started to work there as a part timer. Lincoln also headed there after school he has no more things to worry.

"Let's go." I said that caught Amanda's attention.

"Okieeee!" She said. "You have left properly, right?"

"Of course, I don't want to be rude. I been in that team for almost 4 years. They had been part of my life."

"Awww, that's kinda sad." She faked a sniff. "But seriously, if I were you, I'll wait until I graduated, you know. Specifically now that Taekwondo Club is prepating for the upcoming tournament next month."

I sighed. "I... I'm not suited to join them anymore."

That day, after my alpha mark me, I felt like my body changed. To be honest, I felt weaker than before. I started to notice it since that day I was attack. Normally, I can take those bastards down easily. But my strength were now limited. I also notice it during the preparation of the year end party, I find it hard to lift some heavy things. I'm changing, I'm sure of it.

I want to ask my mother, the only male omega that I know but for sure, he'll ask why and when did I experiencing this. I can't tell them that after being mark, I felt this restrain in my strength. Maybe, I really need to visit a doctor. I'm so careless with my body. But not now, I'm too preoccupied with my life.

"Okay, if that's what you want, I'll support you."

"Thanks, Amanda."

We continued to walk out from the school when she spoke again. "You won't leave the student council, right?"

I chuckled. "Of course, I only quit being an athlete. No need to worry about it."

I saw her pout then launched herself to me. "Shit! I thought you'll leave us also! Kyle! Huhuhu!"

"Shit! Amanda, stop it!"

When I got home, I immediately took a bath. After that, I look for comfy clothes and wore it. I was about to go to the kitchen to get some water when my phone beeped. I took it from side table.

It was Chris who texted me. 'Uele, are you free tonight?'

I frowned and composed a reply. 'Yeah, why?' Sent.

A gew second after I send my reply, I received a text from her. 'Come here at my house, the guy you want to talk to, is here.'

My eyes widened then replied. 'I'm coming, wait for me.' Then I took my keys. I secured our house, checked if the doors were lock then text my parrents that I'm going to Chris' house tonight.

I was really nervous while driving my car. I don't know what to feel. I know I'm the one who wants to talk to him but I don't know, I felt like backing out. I don't know what to feel.

I sighed.

After almost 15 minutes, I reached Chris' house. I composed myself before going out. I can feel my knees trembling, my hands shaking and my heart beating enormously. I sighed before pressing the doorbell. After few minutes, I saw Chris opening the door.

"Hey." I greeted.

She smiled. "He's inside, come in." I nodded as I follow her.

I took few steps before my eyes saw man's back. Just by looking at it, I'm sure he's neither my brothers. But my heart was still beating so fucking fast. Slowly, he turned his body to face me. I was frozen on my spot.

'He does looked like Felix and Calix. I felt like I'm facing one of them. And he releases a very familiar scent.' That thought made me more eager to asked him my questions.

"Hey." He greeted first. He extended his hand. " I'm Errol. Chlel told me that you want to me to ask something. Ahmmm..."

I subconsciously accepted his hand but I can't make myself speak. I was just staring at him. He awkwardly chuckled. "Ahm... hey? Sorry but I was really wondering why you want to talk to me. I don't really know you and honestly, this feels so weird and awkward."

I opened my mouth then sighed before speaking. "Errol..."

He frowned. "Yeah?" I gathered my courage and asked him the question I want to asked since the beginning.

"Errol... do you have any sibling or relative that went missing long time ago?"

I saw gow shocked his face is. "H-huh?" He was hesitating to speak. "How do you know?"

I bit my lips. 'Mother, Father. I think I found them."

I been busy this month. Sorry for very late update. I thought I could finish writing last week but we've been hit by a storm so yeah... everything in our country was pretty devastating. Sorry guys.

Anyways, I was planning to write another story, but It still undecided whether I'll write in English or Tagalog. Lol.
