Chapter 1Chapter 1

"Switch on the ac bro and all the best", said Raghu..

"Uff.. Leave the place idiot", I replied and sat on the bed..

The whole room was filled with jasmine aroma, colourful lights hanging here and there and rose petals all over the bed..

"Why do Indians follow these kinda tradition? What fantasy does it give?" I said to myself..

Suddenly, I heard someone opening the door and it was Dhiya.. Honestly I don't have any feelings for her but she looked gorgeous in a Pink silk saree along with glittering ornaments.. Even a old man would get harmone rush, glimpsing at her..

"May I?", she asked..

"Hmm", I nodded..

She came beside me and stood with a milk filled copper vessel like a typical first night which we have watched in old movies..

I stopped her when she was about to touch my feet..

"No..No.. I'm not into this kinda stupid traditions.. Please sit", I waved my hand to make her sit..

"Hmm okay" she replied and sat beside me and gave a puzzled look..

"Dhiya.. I need to tell you something.."

She nodded..

"I really don't know how you will take this but it is not fair to hide this from you.."

She looked straight into my eyes, giving all her attention..

"I'm not interested in this marriage and in fact I don't believe in marriage"..

"Really? But why?" She asked and her face was damn curious to know the answer..

"I don't know.. maybe I'm not that type.. It's not that I don't like you but I'm not fit to have a family.. I want to be independent and be myself, that's it.." I told waiting for her reaction..

She grinned..

"Even I have a truth to tell you..", her face and body language turned instantly..

"I'm not interested in marriage too.." she told and now it's my turn to become curious about her answer..

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously..

"Which means I AM NOT THAT TYPE TOO", She told each word clearly so that it will enter inside my head directly..

"Oh really.. I thought you were interested and then why did you touch my feet..?" I asked..

"Haha.. That's because My parents told to do so.. They told men expect these kinda stupid traditions.."

"Not all men" i said in a defending tone..

"No offense Aadhitya.. Few of them don't even know why they are following these rituals but wanted to.."

"Hm true.. Marriage is so stupid and it's a cycle where we get married and then kids.. Later, they get married and it goes on.. Are we getting married just to produce kids and raise them..?"

We started to laugh together for the first time while I completed the statement.. It was a beautiful connection between us as we had same ideology..

"So.. do you have any stories..?" She asked breaking the giggles..

"Stories.. What kind of..?" I blinked..

"You know what I mean.." she said, looking straight into my eyes..

"Oh you mean breakups.. No!! I'm not into that stuff either.."

"Haha that's totally unexpected.." she told..

"How about you..?" I asked..

"Hmm what do you think?"

"Your smile is very cute and so I guess there is no one in your life.."

"Wrong guess", she smirked..

"What? Really? You have a boyfriend?" I asked curiously..

"Not a boyfriend but I have a crush on a man in my office.." she told..

"Ohh", my stomach burned instantly..

"Jealous, right..?" She laughed..

"Why should I feel jealous? I too had some girls in my life, you know..?" I gave a better reply now..

"Ohh.. then you are not a virg.." she extended her words and I was stunned by her question.. She is bold enough than i thought..

"Is she the same girl who touched my feet few minutes ago", I asked myself..

"Aadhitya?"

"How will I tell you about that.. I'm feeling little awkward right now..", I sighed..

"Hey come on.. I won't judge you.. Tell me please.."

"Uff.. yes.. I'm a virgin and that's why I'm desperate to have a casual relationship..", I murmured..

"Why is that.. you can even lose your virginity to your spouse right..?", she questioned..

"What is the point in that.. Having a license for having sex.. Its not quite impressive.." I answered..

She was giggling and my heart was very curious to know about her..

"Hmm well.. What about you..?", I asked..

Her laughing face faded instantly..

"A woman speaking boldly doesn't mean she is a whore Mr. Aadhitya..", she told in an angry tone..

"Hey chill.. I didn't mean that..", i consoled..

"Hmm.. I too wanted to try some things but i need time to get on with people.. You know what, I too wanted to have a casual relationship but found no one impressive.." she sighed..

"Ohh.. We are alike in this for sure..", i smiled..

We exchanged a warm smile..

"Shall we sleep..?" She yawned..

"Yeah, I never thought this would be this easy.."

I took a blanket and pillow and got settled on the sofa..

"Aadhitya.. I think we must talk about something right now..", she said..

"About what..??", i enquired..

"A deal..", she answered and I sat up with a chaotic face..
