Gabriel: Hey Nathan! (12:54 p.m.)

Jonathan: Gay. (12:54 p.m.)

Gabriel: Tf. (12:54 p.m.)

Jonathan: What? (12:55 p.m.)

Gabriel: Are you free? (12:55 p.m.)

Jonathan: No, I'm expensive. (12:55 p.m.)

Gabriel: Really funny Jonathan. (12:56 p.m.)

Jonathan: What do you want Gabriel? It must be important that you really have to ruin my weekend. (12:56 p.m.)

Gabriel: Mean. Anyways! I and the guys planned to go to the mall later. (12:57 p.m.)

Jonathan: And? (12:57 p.m.)

Gabriel: Wanna come? (12:57 p.m.)

Jonathan: Only if you'll pay for me. (12:57 p.m.)

Gabriel: (Seen at 12:58 p.m.)

Jonathan: Mf. (12:58 p.m.)

Jonathan threw his phone at the nightstand, charging it. He rolled on his bed, trying to be comfortable. "Fuck it." He stood up and went to the kitchen.

"Hands off the cookies kid." A Filipino lady in between her forties, who was wearing a pink dotted apron with white background, scolded when Jonathan's hand was halfway through the cookie jar that was placed above the counter.

Jonathan sighed. "It's just one cookie mom."

"No. Back off." She warned.

Jonathan raised his hands in the air, defeated. He left the kitchen and decided to just watch TV instead. He kept switching channels, nothing was interesting to him. He gave up and went back to his room. He threw himself on his bed and now he's back with his staring competition with the ceiling.

"I'm bored." He mumbled.

He was daydreaming about a goat chasing an ostrich, the one he saw in the news earlier, but got cut off when the doorbell rang.

"Jonathan! Get the door!" His mother called from the kitchen.

Jonathan groaned. He walked down the stairs at a slow pace and peeped through the peephole when he arrived by the doorstep. He sighed and opened the door. "Fuck off."

Gabriel clutched his chest, pretending to be hurt. "Rude."

Jonathan pinched the bridge of his nose. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Um… we're here to fetch you? Duh." Ashley replied, in a matter of fact.

Jonathan, "I already said I'm not coming."

"Sad." Gabriel pouted. "We're dragging you anyways."

"The fuc---" Jonathan stopped mid-sentence because he got pulled out of his house.

"Have fun kids!" Jonathan's mother warmly bid farewell.

Ashley, "We will Mrs. Lee!"

"What on earth are you even wearing dude?" Gabriel asked, slightly bothered by his friend's fashion. "Are those sweatpants I'm seeing?"

"Not my fault that I got ushered out of my house." Jonathan hissed. "Unprepared."

They were walking down the familiar pavement of their peaceful neighborhood. The sun's rays were kissing them with heat and the warm breeze hitting their cheeks. Totally not Jonathan's type of day to go out.

"Where's Justine?" Jonathan asked, confused as to why his other friend isn't around.

"Good question." Gabriel said. "Ashley, where's Justine?"

Ashley, "I called him, but he said he can't come because he's sick."

Gabriel, "Sick? He was fine yesterday."

Jonathan gasped dramatically. "Gabriel gave him the virus! Oh no, Ash! We should maintain distance from Gabriel."

Ashley was getting dramatic as well. "OMG! Stay right where you are Gabe."

Gabriel rolled his eyes at his friend's antics. "Not funny guys."

The three of them were standing near the traffic light post, waiting for the signal to turn red so that they can walk across the busy street. A few minutes later, the color changed.

"The last one who crosses is a loser!" Ashley challenged, already sprinting towards the other side of the road.

"Hey! No running in the streets dumb head." Jonathan scolded but is doing the opposite of what he said.

"Unfair! I'm not ready!" Gabriel said, left in the same spot.

Halden and Angelo were running the fastest pace they can, chasing a specific psychotic spirit.

"Catch me if you can!" Kent dared, hopping from house to house.

Halden groaned, annoyed. "Wait until I get my hands on you."

"Oohhhh, I'm scared." Kent replied in a playful tone. "What're you gonna do? Is Halden going to punish me? Spicy."

Halden stopped running and threw a bolt of blue lightning towards Kent's direction.

"Yikes!" Kent shrieked, dodging every lightning thrown at him.

Distracted by Halden's never-ending lightning attacks, Kent was pinned down to the floor by the grim reaper that he kind of forgot the existence.

"Fuck!" Kent grunted.

"Gotcha." Angelo stated proudly. "That was easy."

Halden teleported to where his friend and the spirit fell. "Tie him. Make sure it's tight, too tight that he can't move."

"Yes sir!" Angelo sangsung, surrounding the said spirit with a rope of amber-colored lightning.

Kent, "Didn't know grim reapers are kinky."

"Shut up." Halden warned. "Any last words before we put you back in your place?"

Kent thought deeply as he observed his surroundings. He looked at Halden and smiled cheekily. "XD!"

Halden, "Wha---"

"Halden look out!" Angelo screamed, eyes widening.

Halden looked back and abruptly crouched down when he saw a red sports car, flying towards him. He panicked when the traffic lights changed its color from green to red. The car that was about to hit him before, is now going straight towards the crowd of people crossing the street.

"Someone! Call an ambulance!" A concerned citizen in the crowd spoke.

"What a hero you are." Kent faked a tear. "I'm so proud of you."

Halden groaned and glared at Kent. "You piece of---"

"Ah, ah, ah, you can't curse if you want to go to heaven." Kent teased. "Sayonara! See you later OR for never." He winked and vanished into thin air.

Halden struck a lightning bolt towards Kent, but it hit nothing. The ground was already empty. "I'm going to kill that brat." He said, gritting his teeth.

"I'm sorry." Angelo sighed, guilty for everything. "I'm gonna go and check the humans."

"Good idea." Halden answered, trying to calm his senses down.

Gabriel carefully opened his eyes and tried adjusting it to the blinding light that greeted him. He observed the room and saw nothing but white walls.

"Where am I?" He uttered in a hoarse voice.

The door blasted open, revealing a worried faced Ashley followed by a stoic faced Jonathan. "Gabriel! Doc, my friend is awake!" She entered the room and checked on her friend. "Are you okay? Do you feel hurt? Do you feel any pain?"

"Ash, chill." Jonathan pulled Ashley away from the bed. "He just woke up. We don't want him to have a cardiac arrest from your surprise attack."

Ashley immediately obliged. She straightened her posture and cleared her throat. "Sorry."

The doctor entered the room with a clipboard on hand. "Hey, Gabriel. How do you feel?"

Gabriel, "Soggy."

The doctor placed the clipboard on the table and picked up a mini flashlight from her pockets. She gently checked Gabriel's eyes to see if there was something wrong. "Hmmm… you seemed perfectly well." She stood up straight. "We examined his x-ray and only saw a few broken bones on his arms, which surprised us upon seeing the impact he received. There's no need for operation, though I suggest that you let him stay here for a few more days to heal. After that, he can go." She told the two teenagers standing on the other side of the bed.

Jonathan nodded. "Thanks."

"You're welcome. I'll be checking him from time to time." The doctor, then, bid farewell and went out of the room.

"Where am I?" Gabriel asked for the second time, clearing his throat. "Water please."

Ashley gave him a glass. "You're in the hospital."

"Thanks." Gabriel drank, then arched a brow. "Hospital? Why?"

Jonathan, "Apparently, Lightning McQueen can fly."

Gabriel, "Excuse me?"

"What Jonathan is trying to say is…" Ashley continued. "You got hit by a flying car."

Gabriel, "How did that happen?"

Ashley and Jonathan shrugged.

"Oh, and by the way, you were absent for two days already." Ashley finished. "You stayed here for three days."

Gabriel nodded. "How about Justine? Did he heal already?"

Jonathan, "Yeah. He was here a while ago, but rushed home saying he needs to buy more groceries."

"You should go back to rest." Ashley dragged Jonathan towards the door. "See you tomorrow Gabe."
