Excitement

The next day Sato-san contacted us for extra information about our trip to the beach.

We were to go by bus there tomorrow as it was the only day the itineraries weren't full.

And I had to go and buy a swimsuit as it had been many years since I had gone to the beach and surely my swimsuit from five years ago wouldn't fit me at all now.

I was planning on asking my mom to accompany me to the shopping center and choose the appropriate swimsuit for me as I don't have any fashion taste at all.

But I remembered that she's working today, so she won't be able to accompany me.

I guess I'll ask Ken to come with me. I trust him more than I trust myself.

And with that thought in my mind I texted him writing all the details about my urgent need for a swimsuit and that I wanted him to pick one for me.

He accepted immediately, which depicts greatly how bored he was.

I started preparing to go out, wearing the same clothes I mainly wear as I know that I don't have to think much to see if they fit me.

Once I was ready I stepped outside of the house and I came across a gentle breeze that hit me in the face, making all my thoughts about me melting due to the high temperature disappear.

It was enjoyable I must say. And with that, I started heading towards the shopping center which was the place I would meet Ken.

After twenty minutes of walking and thankfully not dying due to the heat because of the breeze I arrived at my destination, where I immediately saw Ken waiting for me under a tree's shadow.

Upon seeing me he immediately waved at me.

"Hey Ken, are you ready?" I said as soon as I got near him.

"Of course I am. It's time to broaden your wardrobe with something better than just the clothes you wear all the time." He replied with a smile.

"But I only want to buy a swimsuit," I explained.

"It's a rare occurrence for you to go out to shop for clothes, so I'm not missing this chance to improve your style a bit. You'll thank me later."

Before I could refute he grabbed my shoulders from behind and pushed me inside.

We started by selecting the swimsuit I would buy along with a shirt to complete the look.

And after countless tries and sets of clothes, we settled down to a black swimsuit along with a white shirt with black coconut trees.

That one was the one that suited me the best according to Ken.

And as I had made my purchase I got ready to leave as I didn't want to continue shopping anymore. I mean, I'm good with the clothes I already have, I don't need new ones.

But upon getting ready to walk out of the shop Ken grabbed my shoulders forcing me to stop walking.

"Where do you think you're going? We still haven't finished your shopping." He said with a wicked smile.

"Please spare me." I pleaded.

"Come on, don't act like that. It's for your good." He continued, catching me from my shirt and pulling me to the other clothes shop ahead of us.

But right before we got inside he stopped.

"Oh Haru, look who's in front of us."

I took the initiative to trust him and look in the same direction as him when I saw Sato-san and Satoru-san coming out of the store we were ready to enter.

"Oh? If it isn't Ishikawa-kun and Takahashi-kun." Satoru-san said with a playful voice.

"What are you two doing here?" Sato-san asked us.

"We're here because Haru has to buy some new clothes and level up his style a bit," Ken replied happily.

Inside me, I was hoping that Sato-san would say that I looked fine like I am and I didn't need to change my style at all, but that wasn't the case.

"Now that you mention it, he more or less wears the same type of clothes every day," Sato-san replied.

And with that reply, my hopes of getting out of here were shattered instantly.

"Would you like to come along with us if you're finished with your shopping?" Ken asked the two of them.

"We finished our shopping, but I believe it's best if we leave the two lovebirds to shop together, don't you also agree Ishikawa-kun?" Satoru-san replied with a smile.

"You're right Satoru-san, let's leave the two of them together." He also said with a smile and the both of them immediately departed leaving me Sato-san standing there without listening to our opinions.

"Well, I guess there's no way around it. We'll have to upgrade your style then if you want to be my boyfriend." She said with a serious tone.

"But I'm not your…" I got to say, but she grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the clothes shop before I could finish my sentence.

She gave me ten different tops and bottoms in the hopes of finding a fitting set for me.

But when she didn't find anything she quickly rushed me to the next shop.

And that's how the rest of my morning passed.

We had gone to almost every single clothes shop in the shopping center.

I had started to run out of breath, both because of how fast she wanted me to change clothes and because of the bags I was holding in my hands.

I was holding about ten bags in each of my hands.

But thankfully she stopped there and we didn't continue our shopping spree, because she had to return to her home to make some preparations for our tomorrow's trip.

I'm honestly wondering how girls can do that all the time. A little more and I would have collapsed.

We said goodbye to each other and returned to our homes.

I must admit that I'm kinda excited about tomorrow. It's my first time going to the beach after five years. Plus it will be with my friends.

Aah, I can't wait for that trip.

Enjoy!
