Elmesia in love?

"So, we can do these things in private?"

Elmesia blushed as she heard that and realized her blunder. But she cleared her throat and changed her expression to normal.

She then put up a serious expression on her face and acting like a mature lady, befitting her age and status, she said,

"We can't."

She could only say that much as she knew that the more she spoke, the more Lucas would entangle her in her own words and tease her.

Lucas of course had such intentions but noticing her realizing this, he shrugged and said,

"Then stop following me around and leave me alone."

Elmesia knitted her brows as she heard that. "When did I follow you?"

Lucas raised an eyebrow in surprise and said, "did you not follow me till the caravan? Then till the guild here and after parting for a day, come back to meet me?"

Elmesia frowned as she heard that. "What nonsense are you spouting? I didn't follow you to the caravan, I was going back to the caravan because you brought me away from there. And also, my goal was to reach the guild to meet El– my acquaintance and you just happened to be with me."

"Now too, I only approached you because I happened to see you walk by the guild. And you're thinking too much. Also, why would I follow you? I don't like you or anything like that."

Lucas raised an eyebrow hearing the last part. 'So she really is a tsundere in real life as well,' he thought to himself as he recalled things about her from the novels.

'What's up with the author creating so many tsundere type characters? First Veldora, now Elmesia, and if I recall correctly, there's that one Demon Lord who has the same nature as well.'

Lucas looked at her and said, "I didn't say anything about you liking me."

A slight blush appeared on Elmesia's face again as she made another mistake. But she covered it up by saying, "a-anyway, where are you going?"

Hearing this, Lucas said in an indifferent tone, "why do you care?"

Elmesia shrugged and said, "just curious. So, where are you going?"

Lucas nodded and said, "it's nunya."

As she heard this, Elmesia realized she hadn't heard of this place. She looked at Lucas and asked, "Nunya?"

Lucas had started walking away from her already and when he heard what she said, Lucas simply waved his hand and said, "None ya business."

It took Elmesia a good few seconds to understand what Lucas just said and when she did realize, she became angry.

"YOU! DAMN YOU!"

Elmesia ran behind Lucas to beat him up for this lame joke he just made. How dare he say such a thing? She was an Empress for fuck's sake! There was not even an ounce of respect in him for her!

Unacceptable! This was simply unacceptable! He needs to be taught a lesson!

Elmesia kept running behind Lucas and Lucas had also been running away when he noticed she was behind him.

A good thing was, they were in a public place and Elmesia was in a disguise and couldn't really use her powers to capture him. Had that been the case, he would've been dead meat already.

Lucas kept running and Elmesia ran behind him as well.

In just a few seconds, Elmesia almost caught up to Lucas. It was no wonder she did. She was a Disaster class entity afterall.

Noticing Elmesia had almost caught up, Lucas stopped abruptly and turned around, causing the fast running Elmesia to bump into him and falling down on the ground along with him.

Lucas hugged Elmesia as she lay on top of him and looking her in the eyes, he calmly said,

"Elmesia."

"Mhm?" Elmesia responded in a soft and low voice, matching the calmness and tone of Lucas.

They both were in a public place, currently lying on a street just a few hundred meters away from the Free Guild and it was just half an hour to sunset.

Merchants, adventurers, craftsmen, and locals were all walking on the same street these two were lying on and they were so busy trying to go back to their respective homes and inns that some did not even notice the two lying down.

A few drunk who did manage to notice them made the others walking by notice the two as well and it didn't long for a small group to gather around Lucas and Elmesia.

But oblivious to the gazes of these people, the two were in their own small world.

Elmesia who was previously angry and running behind Lucas to beat him up was now lying comfortably on top of Lucas.

She would hate to admit it but Lucas's warm embrace was something she was really starting to like. It was just as warm and cozy as her mother's and it managed to made her feel secure.

It had been a long long time since she last hugged her mother but now by being in Lucas's embrace brought those nostalgic memories and feelings back in her. She thought to herself quickly that once she goes back home, she would definitely give her mother a tight hug. If she refuses, she will do it forcefully.

Elmesia could break free of Lucas's clutches if she wanted to but she didn't for reasons even she didn't know. Ever since Lucas hugged her, which was yesterday, she had a change of mind about his opinion.

Lucas previously may seem like an interesting individual to her, but ever since yesterday, he felt like someone she could open up to and talk to.

Today when he hugged her again, she felt another emotion. She felt safe, she felt secure, and most importantly, she felt warm and cozy. This has never happened with her before and this feeling… she wanted to feel such things again and again.

She may not realize it but she had started to like Lucas from yesterday itself and today it was love that had started to awaken. She was starting to feel attracted to Lucas and also was starting to love him.

It may clearly seem fast to everyone but that was how the life of mortals was.

Immortals or long living beings like Elmesia worked entirely differently than mortals. Their mindset was more twisted, they were a lot crazier, a lot calmer as well, and they were in general more wise but at the same time stupid and stubborn than mortals.

It was very weird to describe an immortal as an immortal could just like to sleep for years and that would make him feel happy or an immortal could just play a game of chess with another immortal of similar interest for many months and feel happy.

Anything was possible in their lives and it couldn't be compared with mortal ways.

Elmesia who had lived for so long had come across and interacted with many men and women alike. She had even been with the Demon Lord Leon Cromwell but never once did she feel the same way she was feeling now.

It was no wonder that she would fall in love with Lucas.

The reason she was feeling so safe around Lucas was naturally because of Lucas himself. He may not know it but he had an authoritative and domineering aura present around him naturally.

He was Chaos, the one of the only two supreme rules of the universe. Even though he may possess a mortal body, his soul still was of Chaos even if his memories were sealed. Elmesia was bound to feel that way.

Laying on top of Lucas, Elmesia didn't feel even slightly uncomfortable like last time. The hug last time was indeed embarrassing but she quickly got used to Lucas's touch and right now, she wasn't too embarrassed and it was visible clearly by the slight blush she had on her face.

Lucas looked her in the eyes and said, "people are watching."

Elmesia, with a small smile on her face, said calmly, "then let them."

She was an experienced lady and she hardly cared about what other people thought of her. She was also in her disguise currently so she had no problems at all with people watching them.

Lucas had a small smile as well on his face and said, "your face is so close to mine. Do you perhaps…"

Lucas brought his mouth close to her ear and continued:

"...want a kiss?"
