2 Chapter 1:A mistake? No, an opportunity!

"Let's go! Let's go! The cops are catching up!" A masked man shout while running on the sidewalks.

A masked woman is running closely behind the man while a 3 cops are chasing after them not far away.

The masked woman yell:

"Where the hell did you park the get-away car!? How long do we still have to run!?"

"Not too far, it's parked on the side alley next to the shopping mall parking area!" The man replied.

As they continue running, the woman glance at the bag the man is wearing and shout:

"Dammit Steven, I swear robbing that jewelry store better worth getting chased by 3 armed cops in hot pursuit! I have never run so fast for my life ever!"

"How many time did I told you to use our Alias!? Are you even listening all these time!?" The man yell in anger.

The woman flick off the man and yell:

"I am not gonna call you Zero, that sound so bloody retarded, get off those novel you nerd!"

"Ah whatever, I think it sounds cool in my opinion , anyway we are close to the get-away car! Let's hustle!" The man point toward the shopping mall across the street.

As they run across the road, a kid was seen chasing a fallen water bottle without checking the traffic, the masked woman almost ran into the little kid but she push away the kid as she care more about not going to jail than the safety of a child.

"Get off the road you dumb kid! Did your mom ever taught you to check before crossing the road!? I swear kid these day are-"

Just before she finish her sentences, a truck appeared right in front of where she is looking and shows no sign of slowing down.

*Bang!*

A loud crashing sound is heard and the masked woman is send flying, blood ooze out from her mouth and eyes and her vision began to blur. She cant even move her hand or leg, all she does is twitch in pain.

"Mai! Mai! God dammit the cops are getting close! Why you gonna get hit by a truck! I swear either get up now or *%#$@--"

That was the last thing she heard while looking at the blurry image of Steven, slowly every sound become gibberish and her conscious fade away.

Mai slowly open her eye, she stares at the bright white ceiling of unknown origin. She thought to herself *Didn't I get hit by a truck? Is this the hospital?* She began to get up and look around on the unfamiliar places, floating books float around seemingly like it's alive, she instantly realize this is not a hospital but where is this? After looking around more, she saw a man sitting on a white chair writing something on a golden parchment. At first she felt reluctant to approach the man but she thought to herself *I have to find out where am I anyway, can't be worst than getting hit by a truck*

Mai approach the man and clear her throat.

"Ahem"

The man look at Mai and show a confused face and reply:

"Umm, who are you? Am I in trouble again?"

This time Mai show a confused face while thinking *Is he also in the same situation as me? Can't be right? He seems awfully comfortable and is obviously doing something* She begin to speak again.

"Where am I? The last thing I remember was getting hit by a truck and the next thing is I wake up in this weird place with flying books."

The man tilted his head and look at Mai showing a confused face once again and says:

"Umm well, can I ask what's your name?

"Mai, Coeus Mai." She replies.

The man grab the black book next to the parchment and began flipping as he mutter:

"Mai...Mai...hmmm..., ah! There we go! Coeus Mai right? Let's see let's see, time of death 16:07 , date December 21st , cause of death... getting run over by a truck after saving a child that was suppose to die instead."

"Ah that's not good, you aren't suppose to die yet! But according to the heaven rules, human that dies early from performing an act of bravery are to be rebirth as a newborn! So don't you worry, I can get you sorted out right away."

Mai look at the man and says:

"Wait what do you mean by heaven rules? What's this thing about rebirth? Who even are you? I have so many question that I felt like asking but I have a feeling you will just be overwhelmed."

The man speaks:

"Ah yes I forgot to introduce myself, how silly, how many time have I done that now? Ahem, let's start this all over again, let's see..."

"Ahem okay, dear lost soul from Earth, your death has arrived and your life is long gone, you now stands in the court of Judgement where your past deed will be judged and your life evaluated. I am the God Komos and your Judge, your next life will be determined by your accumulated karma and sins, well that's what was suppose to be anyway but in your case... I think a rebirth definitely suite you more."

Mai stares at Komos and thought *Rebirth? Does that mean I get to live as a human again? He didn't even check all the stuff I have done, is he really a God?* As she begin to speak again.

"So what? I get to live a new life now?"

Komos nod his head and give a smile, he clapped his hand and a small white portal appeared behind him.

"Enter this portal and your new life will begin, I hope this time you will be able to enjoy your new found life to the maximum extend."

Komos point at the portal and said so.

Mai look at the suspicious portal and mutter "But what if this is a portal to hell? Hmm..."

"Pardon me?" said Komos.

"Ah it's nothing, just talking to myself." Mai replies and thought *Well if it's hell then there's no way I can avoid it anyway, might as well accept my fate* As she walk toward the portal.

"New life or eternal suffering, here I come!" Said as she enter the portal.

*What a weird lady, but why do I feels like I forgot something?* thought Komos and he walk toward the chair and sit down.

"Well it's probably nothing important, back to work!"

"Congratulation! It's a girl!"

"Date and time of birth is December 22nd 2021 08:21."

*Hmm? What is this? Date of birth? Did I really got rebirth?"

"Such an angel, your name will be Mania, welcome to the Laxus family little one."

*Who said that? Why can't I open my eye? Mania? My name is Mia! Wait, why do I still remember who I used to be?*

*Hold on...Laxus family? Wait... don't tell me it's the famous Laxus Mondred? CEO of the Morel brand sports car!?*

"Let me see her face" A familiar voice is heard.

"Ah yes, the face of a Laxus born, I have high hope for you Mania, you will definitely grow up and be successful just as my father used to said to me."

*Wait, I recognize that voice! I heard it from the Morel advertisement before! It's really the Laxus of Morel! Thank you Komos! My life is going to be sweet!*

2 year later...

"Mania want to eat lobster." A little girl with violet hair and crimson eyes says to her mother.

"Oh my, my little angel has developed such an expensive taste, you are indeed a Laxus." Says the middle-aged woman with violet bang.

A sharp looking middle-aged man with black hair and crimson eyes walks toward Mania and pick her up while saying:

"Maybe she will likes cars too? Then I can let her inherits my company after I retired."

"Mania like gold!" Mania proclaim to her father while smiling brightly.

"Hahaha, looks like we have a little gold digger here." Her father tease her while holding her up.

She pout and lightly hit her father head, at this moment the butler walks toward them and says:

"Hoho, such an energetic child, she would definitely be a bright kid as she grows up I do says so sir."

"Indeed Sebastian! My child would be just like me, famous and successful!"

As Mondred put down Mania, she immediately walks toward the library rooms and says without looking back:

"Remember lobster!"

Her parents giggles and watch her enter the library.

"Hmm now where was I?"

Mania picked up a book names "Dragon slayer" and flip open to the page she last read.

"I can understand why Steven like these stuff now that I have the time to read it, these adventure are so exciting!"

6 year later...

"Urgh, I am so bored...Sebastian!" A young girl with violet twin ponytails and crimson eyes shout while still laying down on sofa of the living rooms.

"Yes milady?" Sebastian walks in and asked.

"When is dad coming home? I am so bored! I wanna go out!" She yell.

"I am afraid master will be coming home late today, he has an important meeting with an oversee client, I can arrange the chauffeur to drive you to where you want to goes if you so desire milady."

"Ah what's the point? He never let me goes to anywhere crowded, something about afraid of me being kidnapped." Mania pout and roll around the sofa.

"Well if there's nothing else I will continue to my work milady, maybe read a books in the meantime?" Sebastian says as he go backs into the hall and close the door.

Mania stares as the door close and sigh.

"Can't wait to grow up more so I can start going out whenever I want." As she look up into the chandelier and mutter.

*Bang!*

All of the sudden, a loud crash is heard and her eye is wide open in shock!

An airplane crashed right through the ceiling and smash toward Mania.

In this last moment, Mania thought to herself and she stares blankly into the crashing airplanes.

*Are you fucking kidding me?*

Everything went black as she lost her conscious...

As she slowly opens her eyes, she once again stares at the familiar white ceiling of unknown origin. She remember this scene and didn't waste a moment as she stands up and grab a flying books. She dash toward the guy sitting on the chair that's writing on a parchment and trows the book right in the face of the guy.

*Smash!*

The guy fall down from the chair as the book smash right into his face.

"Ouch! What the!? Eh!? What's going on? Have I done something wrong again?" The guy panic as he hurriedly block his face with both his hands while standing up from the fall.

He look at the angry little girl in front of him, confused at what's going on he begin to think of anything he had done that might have anger the higher up again.

*I didn't done anything right? I haven't even send a soul away today...*

"Hey Komos! Can you explain why the hell did I died so fast!? Is this the so called new life that I was suppose to have!? Just 8 year of life!?" Mania yelled at the man angrily.

Komos looks at her with a confused face and begin to ask:

"Umm...so who are you again? I don't really remember sending a little girl down recently..."

Mania looks even more piss and shout:

"Urgh why are you even a god!? Do you even qualified to be one huh! I am so stressed right now I feels like burning this place down!"

"Eh..ehhhh...please don't burn down anything, well first please tell me your name so I can help you out..." Komos says as he panic.

"Mania! Laxus Mania!" She yell.

Komos hurriedly grab the black books that has fallen on the ground and flip it open to check.

"Umm well let's see here... Mania... Laxus Mania..."

"Oh here we go! time of death 15:37 , date October 10th , cause of death... squashed by crashing airplanes!?"

"Eh there's something else after that? Rebirthed Soul...? Formerly known as... Coeus Mai..."

"Coeus Mai...Mai... Ah! I remember now!"

As Komos finished his sentence Mania trows another books right into his face.

This time Komos tried to deflect the books away but once again the book smash right into his face and he fell down.

"Ya now you remember! So can you tell me what's is going to happen now huh!?"

Komos stands up and put both his hand on his face to protect it just in case Mania decided to trows another book at him and says:

"Well the thing is... you aren't suppose to die back then... your existence has caused a paradox where Sebastian leaved the room when he is suppose to be cleaning the glass table, but because of your existence he left the room not wanting to disturb you and in result you died in his place instead..."

Mania kneel down and punch the floor and yell:

"Why do I have to die for someone else again!?!"

Komos wants to comfort her but he is afraid she would punch him right in the face instead, so he slowly approach her and said:

"Well... according to the Heaven rules, an individual can only rebirth if he or she died on the wrong time while performing an act of bravery but in your case... you died without doing anything. So the only solution here is that you may be allowed to reincarnate into another world to make sure a paradox will not happens again."

As Mania heard what he said, she stares at his face and asked:

"Well where will I be reincarnated into?"

Komos smiles and replies: "Well you might like this! I have selected a world with the existence of magic! The best part is I will allow you to pick a godly skills to be reincartaned with so you can enjoy your newlife to your fullest extend this time for sure."

"Godly skill huh, well what skills are there?"

Right after Mania finish asking, Komos clapped his hand twice and a huge amount of golden parchment appear on the floor, all of it describing a legendary skill such as Immortality, Tier 10 Mage, Golden Tongue Merchant and so on.

She glance over some of them and ask: " Can I pick multiple or only one?"

Komos smiles and says:

"Well I am afraid that you can only pick one, having multiple legendary skills can cause quite some problem in the world you see."

"Hmm...I see."

She sit down and begin to read through all of the parchment...

7 hour later...

"All of these skill are amazing, this is so hard to decide urgh..."

She lies down on the ground and stares at the Komos, Komos is seen sitting on the chair but not writing on a parchment, he seems to be asleep.

"How long has I been reading these parchment anyway?" She wonder.

She stands up and approach the table to try and find anything related to time. As she stands next to the table, she noticed a blank golden parchment next to the black books. She stares at the parchment and begin to think "Did he wrote all those skill? Wait, can I write one!?"

She grab the parchment and takes a black pen and begin writing, but the moment the ink hit the parchment, nothing appeared on it.

"Hmm...doesn't seems to work..."

She bite her finger and look around, finally she noticed the golden pen the sleeping Komos is holding.

"Maybe it need a certain type of pen to works?" She approach the sleeping Komos and slowly pull out the pen.

Once again she tried to write on the parchment and by miracle it works!

"Ohh! It really worked! Now let's see what should I write..."

She realized when she was browsing through all the parchment she noticed that although all the skills are amazing but neither of them are omni-potent, being immortal just mean she will never dies from old age, having mighty strength doesn't mean she will have indestructible body.

"Maybe there is a certain guideline to making a skills on Heaven rules? Well that doesn't applies to me! Hahaha! Hmm let's see here, what would be the best skill one can have?"

She stares at the blank parchment and begin to think, then she look at Komos and though *Komos...God...Godly Power?*

She smirk and begin writing on the parchment.

"Hey you! I am done selecting the skills I want, now let me reincarnate!" Mania shout.

"Huh? Skills...? Oh right! Yes , the skills. Okay let me just open up the portal." Komos stands up and clap his hands.

This time a blue portal appeared behind Komos instead of a white one.

"So how do I get the skills? Do I have to do something to it?" Mania ask.

"Oh no there's no need to do anything, just hold on to the parchment and go through the portal and the skills will be added into your skills list, by the way! When you have arrived at the new world, you can says the word 'Status' and a menu and stats will appear, that is where you observe your stats and your skill list, now go enjoy your new life!"

"Oh I sure will." Mania says as she chuckles, after that she walk through the portal and a bright light consume her vision.

When she regained her vision, she sees that she is standing on a field of grass and around her is unfamiliar surrounding.

"Now for the skills...status!"

A golden semi transparent hologram appeared infront of her.
