17 Tokino Sora have a friend

"Ah, Sora-chan!" Waving her hand, A-chan signals Sora to come over. "A bit late than usual huh?"

"I woke up late today, sorry for it A-channn." And with a blink of an eye, Sora proceeds to cling her whole body to A-chan.. "Come on, you know I stream late last night."

"I will treat you to lunch later, so pleaseeeee. You talked about wanting to have Sushi right? We can go there after this recording."

"Sigh, don't worry about it. Did you get enough sleep today?"

Adjusting her glasses while ignoring Sora who is all over her, A-chan is clearly used to Sora behaving like this. After all, she had already spent half of her life trying to get rid of this troublesome girl.

"Eh...I did get around 5 hours I think" Putting her tongue out cutely, she proceeds to put her arms around A-chan's waist, head closing onto A-chan's flat chest. "I will be taking a nap after this, so don't worry about it hehe. Thanks for setting up the 3D stream beforehand by the way A-chan."

"Alright, alright, it's my job anyway. Let's get this over quick then."

"Yeah." Nodding her head, Sora eventually let go of A-chan from her hand, tidying off her clothes that had crumbled from all the moving around.

Meanwhile standing beside, Anemachi feels like she is an extra here, having an awkward smile on her face for being ignored completely.

'Well I'm new here, so that's to be expected.' Thinking to herself, the interaction between A-chan and Sora makes her heart feel warm though.

It's nice to see people getting along with each other.

"Eh...About that, my name is Anemachi, nice to meet you Sora-san." And when Sora finally finished talking to A-chan, Anemachi greeted her politely. "I'm the new manager at Hololive, nice to meet you."

"Ah! A-anemachi huh? Nice to meet you too!" Forgetting that her interaction with A-chan is being observed, Sora with a blushing cheek quickly tries to repair her image. "Sorry about ignoring you, just that I was happy to see A-chan here. My name is Tokino Sora. Pleased to meet you."

"Sorry if I made you feel that I'm ignoring you just now, my head was overwhelmed with joy from seeing A-chan after quite a while. Hope you don't mind!"

"It's alright, I can see that you are good friends with A-chan. You two have known each other for long?" Waving off her worries, Anemachi asks curiously.

Sora is quite beautiful, Anemachi must say. Definitely S-tier girlfriend material. Combined with her fashionable dress, it's not a surprise she was chosen as the first Vtuber in Cover Corp.

Cute eyebrows above the eyes, brown iris gives a sense of beauty and cuteness together, balancing it well. Her ponytail gives off an energetic image to people around her,

"Yeah, we have been friends ever since high school. And after some time, we ended up as colleagues." Now standing straight, Sora continues. "Fate really wants us to be friends with each other."

Saying it teasingly, A-chan however has some objections.

"It's all because you dragged me down this hole." Remembering the decision that had led her to this miserable work, A-chan can't help but grumble about it. "I should have never believed you in the first place."

It all goes back to the day when Sora started to become a Vtuber in Cover Corp, under a separate program from Hololive.

"A-chan! Do you want to become my manager?"

Inside a normal cafe, both of them are enjoying a normal afternoon like usual, drinking tea and having dessert.

And there, Sora asks A-chan with eyes of anticipation, hoping for answers.

"Manager? No, I'm not interested in spending another few years with you again. And I hear that being a manager is troublesome work." Shaking her head, A-chan isn't interested in it.

"Come on! You are also planning to quit your current job right? Why not come work with me?" Puffing her face, Sora tries to convince her. "It will be interesting I promise."

"Nope, not getting tricked by you. Last time this happened, you made me the president of the school council, and let's just say that it isn't fun." Sipping the tea before her, A-chan is determined.

"Pleaseeeee, I want you to be my manager. " Sora begged again.

"No." A-chan calmly refused.

"I promise I will behave when working with you! I will even give you my collection of those CDs that you had really wanted " Sora tried bribery.

"I don't really want it anymore." That's a lie, A-chan actually almost accepted the offer if she hadn't held herself back.

But she knows she will regret it if she trusts this woman again.

"Really…?" Realizing her friend is determined, Sora turns silent.

"But...But…" Hesitating, Sora drops a bomb. "I, I-"

"Feel lonely without you though…" With water droplets dropping on the table, Sora lowers her head down, hiding the face.

"I...just want to be with you together...Is it too much to ask for?" Speaking with a small voice, muffled sounds of cry begin to come out from the girl.

"It's hard, working alone in an environment you know nothing of, working with people you are not familiar with."

Proceeds to cover her face with her hands., Sora try to make herself presentable

Meanwhile opposite of Sora, A-chan remains silent.

'This girl…Is trying to trick me again huh." Brain using up glucose at an alarming level, A-chan tries to think of a way to escape this situation.

A-chan can see the hidden smile of Sora under the shadow of her bangs, her leg swinging from the joy of teasing her like this, and a small bottle of eye drops that are now hidden in her small pocket.

Sora, is a trickster.

Taking a quick peek around, customers inside are already whispering to each other regarding the fuse they are having.

"Mommy, why is the big sister there crying?" One small girl looking at the commotion created asked her mom.

"It's because one of them didn't want to work with the other, friendship doesn't last after all." Patting her head, the mom tells this girl of the cruel reality before her. "Be careful, friendship is a fragile thing in the adult world."

"Ohh...Guess I shouldn't rely too much on my friend huh? Or else someone like this big sister will just abandon me in the future." Nodding, the small girl decides to become a lone wolf for the rest of her life.

"..." Don't make me feel guilty, damn it.

"So, you really don't want to work with me right?" As if to confirm with A-chan, Sora asks one last time. "Yeah, I understand, I'm a bad friend after all…"

'If you really do understand why do you make that face as if you are being bullied now!?' Holding back, A-chan tries to save her reputation in this cafe.

"Ahem, well I'm not against working with you, but I'm really not suitable for a job like that, and I doubt your company will accept someone without any experience in-"

"Don't worry, you can always just sign up for a temporary position, and see if you will fit in!" Interrupting, Sora goes in for the kill. "It's just a few months, if it doesn't work out you can always quit from there!"

"Urgh…" A-chan bites her teeth, knowing that she is being lured into a trap.

"...Just a few months." Knowing she won't be able to escape, A-chan eventually gives in to the pressure exerted by all the customers in the cafe.

"If the job really isn't suitable for me, I will quit immediately." As if to convince herself, A-chan stated her terms.

"Really!? Teehee! I know you won't turn me down A-chan." And in the show of joy, Sora immediately hugged A-chan who is on the other side of the table. "Trust me, you won't regret working here!"

And thus they lived happily ever after.

"And thus my life of misery and pain started." Still regretting her decision on that day, A-chan hopes she can get a time machine if possible.

Sora never gives her any chance to leave her job, whenever she wants to quit, Sora always manages to find a way to make her stay.

Maybe death really is the only way to escape from here.

"Hehe...Maybe if I go ahead and get hit by a truck, I would be able to get isekai'd...Yeah, that doesn't sound like a bad idea, escaping from the harsh world of this. At worst, I will be able to rest in peace after that..."

'Don't go and try to suicide!' Hearing the A-chan's sentence, Anemachi can't help but worry about her mental states.

"It's not that bad! Don't ruin my image like that A-chan!" Hearing A-chan again try to reduce her reputation, Sora argues. "It's not that bad alright? Deep down I know you wanted to work with me!"

"Like hell I wanted this!" Stirred up, A-chan face begins to turn red from the anger. "My youth, my twenties are all ruin by you damn women! GIVE ME BACK MY LIFE!"

"Don't bother, that's how these two normally react." And when Anemachi wanted to interrupt these two from arguing, a female staff nearby stops her. "Let them be, you can go do your own work now, we will take care of the 3D stream from now."

"O-oh." Nodding, Anemachi looks towards these two girls who are now in a heated argument.

'Will they really be fine though?' Anemachi still doubts it, A-chan occasionally does go into berserk after immense stress.

Well, these two really are good friends, so she probably won't do anything too serious.

...Right?

Thinking in her head, Anemachi leaves the two alone and goes down to her normal work. She should start packing her new office if she has extra time laying around after all.

Oh, and there is Suisei who is still angry at home, she should probably come up with something to calm her down.
