182 Chapter 6: Exalted Eldest Madam, Cloudy Peaks Sect (Part One)

Within the carriage, sat a delicate and pretty young woman, quietly carrying a docile bird.

"That sister is very scary," Ru said into her mind as he snuggled deeper into her lap arms.

"I agree," said through telepathy as she stared at her guard Yesha.

The young Guard with tan skin about the same age was the older brother of the servant that came to this sect. He was of her sister's people, so his loyalty only went to her. Was just staring blankly at her.

The tenth of every month was the busiest time the Cloudy Peaks Sect almost lively, always bustling with activity.

The Cloudy Peaks Sect Headquarters bordered a few countries but belonged to none and was independent. The Cloudy Peaks were steep and treacherous and had a total of twelve peaks. However, there was only one lone path from the foot to the summit. The sect was revered for occupying these packs.

Famed for their medical skills, the mightiest clan across the lands opened their doors to the mountains, to recruit talents who were medically inclined through a series of tests. For those who passed, they stand a chance to be admitted into the Cloudy Peak sect as a disciple.

The Sect sat upon vast tracts of lands, had centuries of history behind them, and had exceptionally skilled Elders overseeing each peak.

There were countless sacred medical writings and records hidden within the Sect and was a sacred haven for any in their pursuit of medicine. Anyone accepted into the Sect, had their status quickly escalated, and if they were admitted into the Inner House, their status immediately shot into the skies.

Countless people would give anything to secure a position within the Sect, and on the days, they opened their doors for recruitment, the wide road leading towards the summit was always jam-packed with people from all across the lands.

A common horse carriage stopped at the foot of the mountain, and a scholarly looking youth with delicate features dressed in plain and straightforward clothes stepped out. After a few words with the coachman, the little youth set off towards the Cloudy Peaks.

'And yet, my sister wants me to destroy this sect.'

Jiang Rong and her Guard stood amongst the other youths as they listen to their small insulting comments.

These tests alone whittled the number of applicants going up the mountain from tens of thousands to mere hundreds.

But both Jiang Rong and Yesha guard breezed through the tests with ease.

Now that they both have passed along with a handful of others they now stand before the other elders.

Yesha gazed at the elders and frowned.

"What?" Jiang Rong said.

"Madam Yi's friend is the elders Geng Shuren."

"I see."

"Ah! There he is" Yesha said with relief since he was the youngest

Among the eldest, it was easy to find this elder. After being gazed at by the two youths, Geng Shuren looked at them for a moment and finally recognized them. Jiang Xiuying has been a friend of his since his first visit to the Xuerang empire with the former Sect master. She was a genius that refused the invitation at that time, but they still kept in Contact. She had always given him good advice and such, his position in the peaks is still strong due to her good advice after their sect master perished.

He remembered a letter from her that she was sending her little sister and young guard to investigate his master death and their missing servant. As well as something else.

He breathed at the two with interest he was intently curious, if they could really destroy this sect that had long stopped being his home.

"To be qualified to join the Cloudy Peaks Sect, you must possess extraordinary abilities. The Sect does not just accept anybody. You might have passed the initial three tests, but that does not mean you are one of us yet. Your performance in the upcoming test will be the deciding factor on whether you are fit to join the Qing Yun Clan…." Sect Master Zhen Ah said

'Geng Shuren, is First Sister's Friend" Jiang Rog thought "Elder Geng Shuren would be our best bet at getting information and he may already know why we are here" Jiang Rong whispered to Yesha.

"Then getting into Misty Peak, is best."

Each elder of the Cloudy Peak Sect has a location on one of the twelve peaks. Elder Geng Shuren holds the Misty Peak.

Jiang Rong nodded 'he is the best option, and he might have a clue as to why the First sister wants this sect destroyed.'

When the final test started, most of the youths gave it everything they had, wishing they could show off everything they've learnt all their lives to the Sect Master and Elders. Some recited from medical classics, some pointed out the various acupressure points on paintings of the human body they had brought along, and some presented elixirs that they had supposedly concocted themselves…..

Sect Master Zhen Ah got annoyed at this picture of the youths trying to get their attention whether or not they were truly talented or not. Thus, finally decided he looked at his elders "If there are any that catches your eye, bring them back with you, and get the rest of the mountain."

As he heard that Elder Geng Shuren got up drawing the attention.

Elder Du Gang was a valued student of the Current Sect Master as such he was given leave way. This Elder Hated Geng Shuren for being handsome escaially when his own features where so plseant.

Geng Shuren headed toward the two youths that drew his attension.

"The Misty Peak shall take these two in as Desciples!" Elder Geng Shuren announced to the other elders making them stunned. "Jiang Rong and Yesha Wei, correct" Elder Geng looked at the wo.

Jiang Rong smiled "Yes, Elder Geng Shuren," she said while Yesha nodded his head.

"Sect Master has given us the okay to take students…Ah!Yes, do you have her gift that she said she was sending me."

Jiang Rong frowned as this was news to her.

"Yes, Sir" Yesha said a he pulled out a scroll and handed it to him. Elder

Geng Shuren looked at the scroll happily.

"I would like to welco-"

"Elder Geng, Hold it," a hughty voice said making Geng Shuren frown.
