20 Chapter 20: Hero’s Chronicle, Ferlin’s Mage Academy Exams (Part Two)
"Next exam will be an Arena battle which will decide the testes ranking and who will stay or leave. You will receive a slip with the letter A, B, C, or D. They will decide which group you will battle in only the top 50 from each group will be moved to the next level. You have a time limit of 30 minutes, and if you fall off the map, you will be disqualified, even if you are in the top 50." The instructor said as the slips of paper appeared in front of the students. Glass took her slip of paper that they reflected the letter B. Rain and Randall both showed their slips of paper to Glass, both were B too. "The use of weapons is also allowed" The Instructor added as Glass shrugged her shoulders and relaxed back into her seat.
After finding their way back from the portal Glass, Rain, and Henry waited for the next and last exam that will decide their ranks within the school. Since there is now 200 examinees.
Group A soon descended the steps to the arena. When the time started all hell, brook loses as the examinees rushed toward each other.
"I wonder if there will be any deaths?" Henry said
"Nah don't think so" Rain pointed at a globe by the instructors "That thing seems to have some kind of magic enchantment on it"
"So, it could prevent any deaths"
Glass wasn't paying attention to them converse about the arena as she started trans fixated on a red-haired youth that caught her gaze.
"Claudius" she whispered and then the red-haired youth turned to meet her gaze as if he heard her call his name. Before he focused on his battle with a flushed face.

Roland had taken out many already taken out many Examines; He wanted to impress the girl who had caught his eye with his strength. He felt a little depressed that she didn't even put him in her sight maybe he needed to be a bit more noticeable. Roland has always been told he was handsome, and many women had thrown themselves at him. Roland picked up his great sword and started swinging knocking the other testes out left and right.
Out of no where he heard a voice call his name and looked at his crush who was staring directly at him. His name why did he think 'that' was his name. He saw that the girl wasn't looking away, so he turned around as he knew his face was red.
"Clank" His Sword clashes with another. A girl about his age had clashed with his sword. She had also had the same red-hair has him. Roland at this point becomes a little nervous; he feels the girl in front of is stronger than he is. They begin to clash swords, without the young girl's sword ever leaving her sheath.
"Hey, that girl uses a similar style to yours," Henry said.
"It is the same" Rain looked at Glass who was utterly silent as he watched the two continuously clash sword before one of her rare smiles appeared on her face.

'Clarity' Glass though to herself as she didn't expect to see one of her grandchildren here. Queen Noah Arialis (Azalea) Regina, the goddess of the Sea. Clarity was born as a pair of triplets, she was the youngest of her two older sisters Remedy and Melody. When they meet, it was around the time when Azalea was going to descend, So, it was sensitive time for her daughter. Thus, Glass disguised herself as a Traveling Swordsman, "Man," that visited the underwater Kingdom Atlantics that resided in the Infinite Ocean and Taught her the Slayer style she uses.
The Infinite Ocean is a rare existence that can connect to the seas of other Oceans.
In descending into godhood Azalea had dead which sparked a war between Clarity's older sister. In the end Clarity has stabbed Melody and was exiled by Remedy. Glass looks sadly at Clarity, Melody did have this coming to her Afterall, but for Clarity to step in and end her life. It must have been hard for her.
Glass remembered when she had to tell Azalea about what happened…She didn't want to think about it.
Roland was having trouble with this girl it seems she was way too strong. Each time he clashed with her his arm felt as if it would go numb. But he didn't want to lose; he knows he can't beat her, So, he'll focus on defending, besides there is only one-minute left. Then all-of-a-sudden Clarity backed away, Roland felt something was coming as he picked up his cape and covered himself with. The ground of the arena shock violently as a large amount of dust flew everywhere completely covering Roland completely.
"Ding" a loud bell sound rung marking the end of A groups battle as the dust finally cleared up, revealing Roland who was safe from the attack.

As the results read out. Group B was being called to the ring, Making Glass stand up with Henry and Rain following her.
The three of them stand at the edge of the ring, as a bell rang marking the beginning of B groups battle.
And Like A group all hell breaks loose. Henry Kneels and uses one hand to touch the ground while Rain stretches and yawns.
Crack, in an instant the entire arena breaks apart.
Dropping all the testes below before they even had the chance to do anything. The only place that didn't seem to break apart was the edge of the area where Henry, Rain, and Glass stand. The look of shock on everyone's faces as they had no idea what had happened.
Some had guessed that Henry did something when he squatted but couldn't figure out what it was.
Ding, a bell ran to mark the end of the B group. With the results appearing on the screen.

The instructors at each other as they also didn't what had happened. And more importantly why does is the number of points so astronomically high for the number 1.
The truth was that Glass destroyed the arena, while Rain blocked the debris and Henry kept the surface of their feet stable. As they walked off the arena the last piece of the ground crumbled.
An Alarm rung to call C group to the arena that was repairing itself. And such was the same for D group. But their battles weren't noticeable and boring.
Since the instructors weren't allowed to question their academy's ancient artifact, they read out the result of the ranking as such:

"Now the challenges will commence" One of the Male instructors said
"Anyone can challenge someone of a rank higher or lower. If someone of a lower rank challenges someone of a higher rank and wins, they will take that person's rank. That includes to the higher rank challenging someone of lower rank and losing. Now is their anyone who would like to challenge someone at this time."
Two girls stood up at the same time. One was Clarity, and the other was a young girl with light blue hair who was sitting next to Roland
"I'd like to challenge the first rank," they both said at the same time. As they both stared at each other.
"Alright, Miss White will go first followed by Miss Regina" The instructor said after a moment before glancing at Glass who was making her way down to the Arena. The young girl the instructor called Miss White also made her way down while Clarity sat back in her seat.
The girl made a respectful gesture to Glass before turning resentful "I am Dorothy White, I am Brother Roland's Fiancée"
"Huh" Was all that Came out of Rain and Henry mouths. Roland had and embarrassed face and Clarity looked at the girl with the same expression as Clarity, emotionless.
"You shall pay for seducing my fiancé" The girl proclaimed boldly.
Dorothy made her attack as the bell rang, but before she could do anything. She fell unconscious.
'the one I want to face is not you' Glass gazed at Clarity. A bell rang, the challenge had ended within seconds of starting surprising everyone in the ring as all they saw was Glass teleport behind Dorothy and chopped at her neck before fall and Glass catching with her hand.
The instructor's walked away with the unconscious Dorothy, Roland looked back at Glass before running off to see to Dorothy.
Clarity stood up and walked down to the arena this time it was her turn.
The alarm rang
Clash, a shockwave through the arena had spread out making it shake. Glass took no time taking Satusko out as her sword clashed with Clarity's. Rain and Henry wherein a daze as they were the only ones who could somewhat see what was going on.
Glass and Clarity kept clashing at a fast pace both never taking out their blades. As this kept happening shockwaves where sent throughout the arena.
"This is unbelievable; there is someone who can take on My lady's speed," Rain said astonished while Henry nodded his head.
No one knows who long this has been going on, but everyone can clearly see that the arena can't take anymore as it started to creak severely while at the same time trying to repair itself. But, the speed at which they were going was making it impossible.
"Who is this girl" Henry wondered
"I don't know, but we should be careful if we ever make enemies who her. Because she can keep with my lady"
The Two suddenly stopped and backed away from each other.
Bang, the entire arena exploded, and the alarm rang marking the end of the battle. But there was so much dust everywhere no one could tell who won. When it cleared that everyone could clearly see and unharmed Glass sitting with an unconscious Clarity on her lap.
