145 Chapter 17: Hunters, Whose Fault

The Hunter's in Tae's party was enjoying the meals Peony had prepared. The large pot of soup was warm by the fire, and the fresh cuisine melted their hearts of any worries.

"Bear meat is not bad, a little tough, but not bad."

The two D-rank hunters conversed lightly as they poured more food into their bowls. They had gotten used to the dungeon and Tae leaving and coming back.

They had tents and blankets for sleeping, and they didn't have much discomfort. In its way, it felt like a vacation.

Even the ice bears haven't been attacking them. Well, maybe that was due to Tae completely wiping them out. And That very same Tae was patrolling the area with a seemingly bored face as his shadows spiked every now and them.

"Our Raid leader is bold to go around a high-ranked dungeon alone."

After wiping out the Ice bears around the camp area, Tae decided to go looking for the magic beast nest. His eyes sparkled when he found the cave full of them, and he quickly summoned his shadow soldiers, and at his command, the soldiers slid across and faced off against the enormous waves of bears. He watched some soldiers take hits and instantly regenerate. The ice bears where eventually overpowered due as the shadow knights kept them from attacking the shadow mages.

With a roar that shock the eardrums a giant appeared from the cave.

The Alpha Ice bear made its appearance, of course, he had expected that a large den of bears had a large lead. Seeming as how the size and shape of the alpha ice bear went over his expectations Tae made his mouth.

"Earns today want bad" Tae said he and his Party had been in the gate for five days. And so Far, he has been going from bear den to bear den until he had completely taken care of the ice bears in the forest.

His army was becoming stronger with each battle making him satisfied. He felt he was growing somewhat lazy though since his shadow soldiers can both fight and collect cores. It made him a bit upset wat first in that items wouldn't be auto-collected like in an instant dungeon. He should target the snow elf's now as she didn't forget the arrogant one from day one.

HIs teammates were screaming left and right. Cheol eyes were wide open in shock.

For him to fail like this. He was to become Tao Hunter's Guild elite he even received specialized training for this, and now he was going to fail. His pride would not stand for this. His party had endured the cold and hunger and fought over many of magic beat even though they lost two members they were still able to prevail.

However, the moment of their triumphed victory over the two frost giants the snow elf attacked them. They had been stalking and their party and watched their victory, waiting for for the chance when their stamina would hit rock bottom. His party fell one by one.

"Leader!" he watched a snow elf slit the throat of his comrade he saw the elf's expression. Cheol screamed and ran away like a coward. He ran into the forest and didn't even how long he had been running.

Snow elf archers ready their bow to take down their prey. But where stopped by their leader.

Cheol painted, but he was quickly getting colder he knew he was in ice bear territory. The smile of the snow elf was when they slaughtered his team was still fresh in his mind. The further he walked he came across an incredible site a large cave with the corpses of over 20 ice bears was in sight. He studied them for a moment as he realized they had been cut.

He didn't want to believe that the party of weakling did it. After all these bears were killed by swords or blades and the only creatures with blades out here were the snow elves.

He need to get out of their territory.

Cheol's nose was lured by the smell of food, thinking it was the elves he decided to advance closer he was hungry Afterall. He wanted to take the chance that there would only be a few of them. He believed he could take them on.

What he believed to be white walkers was the other party of weaklings. The D-rank hunters where doing some weird dance and laughing, they were having a good time.

'What?' Cheol thought 'How... How are they still alive" he could smell meat coming from their camp. He noticed that he did not see one of their members. 'That E-ranker must have died. Serves him right for his overconfidence.'

The more Cheol observed, the angrier he got, how come they looked prepared for this environment.

Warm clothes, tents, a Camp, food.

They even had bread; someone must have prepared it beforehand.

'those Basterds withheld food. They had all of this and didn't share. It's their fault his side suffered such loss. If only they shared what they had from the beginning.'

It was at this point Cheol lost all reasoning.

"You Basterds!!!" he screamed startled the Tae's party who was having a good time.

Yue stood up in surprise to see Cheol who eyes were filled with hate and betrayal "Cheol why are you here?" she questioned as her mood went down, it was hard to say that this was a welcoming sight.

"Our party failed in clearing the dungeon because we lacked proper equipment and food. An yet you are standing here having a good time."

"Why?! Why are you angry at us for what we have. You abandoned us to the wolves without any consideration for our safety and yet you stand here and blames us" Yue got mad over the look if blame in his eyes. She had the same training as Cheol, so she knows his S*** reputations of always blaming others for his failures

"You ****, you prepared all this didn't and didn't even decided to share. You endangered the life of your comrades."

This bastard complete disregard her words and went all pushing his blame.

"Yue I'll give you one the count of three to surrender."

"Sis" Susu tugged Yue's sleeve.

Cheol and Yue got ready at the same time as they were both about to face each other head one. Yue fully know that she a rank lower than Cheol but she will still take him on.
