141 Chapter 13: Hunters, Someone You Remember
Peony arrived at the meet up run by the association she saw the familiar faces of the people from the dungeon with the giant statue.
It was only five of them right now though.
The gate had appeared in a residential area, the police were already around, trying to keep the nosy civilians back. The gates the association take's care are one's close to a dungeon break so they must be taken care of quickly.
She was the only healer in the group Afterall enough thought she was an E-rank healer she was still in fact a healer.
Peony noted the men in prisoner's uniform whistled at her. They where taking prisoner hunters this time.
Seeing her gaze, the association member who was in charge of them said "These men are prisoners on a work-release program that will be going with the hunters into the raid." He was taken to everyone in the group, but his eyes were on Peony. She frowned at the member as his eyes were that of a snake to her.
"You will be going with us, right?" said one of the hunters to the association member.
"Yes, the prisoners are C-rank, but I am a B-ranker" he said.
Peony frowned again.
"Everything should be fine since I am here. Ah! Yes, I am Shiki of the surveillance department"
Shiki uncuffed the prisoners making the other hunter's feel nervous. Its not because they hunters were weaker than the prisoner its because they were killers or rapist or something unpleasant like that.
"Aww man, that was really uncomfortable." Said one of the prisoners
"you can't drag us around like slaves, ya know?" said another
"…." The third was silent as his lusty gaze was on Peony eating her whole in his mind.
"Who will be leading the raid?" Shiki asked
The dungeon this time was filled with foul-smelling goblins. But it was a lot easier than expected Peony didn't need to healer a single person.
The only thing she used was buffs like any normal healer in the support class although she used her weaker spells.
They came across three paths that seemed to go off in different directions.
"The dungeon's difficulty is rather low. Shall we split up here?" said a hunter.
"sounds good" said another.
"Then we shall go this way" Shiki said as he pushed the prisoners to one path.
"We will to the middle path" said a hunter who walked towards the middle path.
Peony and the only other female hunter on the team went into the last path together. In the back of her mind Peony wondered how Tae was going as she believed he should have gained something rich. As both women walked further in Peony could feel the presence of the boss. It seems they took the right path when she stopped suddenly.
"Why did you stop?" she said nervously.
"Something is wrong" she wrote.
"What" the women said softly
"I think the others are in danger" she wrote "can you go back outside and get the association to bring in some more people." She wrote the young women nodded not sure why she agreed to do so for someone who is weaker than her.
"I want to check on the others they might need my help.
They both ended up at the three paths and separated while Peony ran into the middle path with a glare, she smelled blood. The middle path seemed to curve into the first path. Like she thought the first and second path were dead-ends
She was too late as she saw Shiki stand over the corpses of his victims, it was the rest of their party and it seems they didn't have a chance to defend themselves. Before he made a surprise attack at her, she caught it.
"You…. You stopped my attack at this distance"
It was easy for a higher-ranking Hunter to dispose of a lower-ranking one. Peony was healer and an E-ranker at that.
"Are you a false ranker?" he questioned
"Should I not say the same thing for you?" she wrote., Shiki threw his fist at her, but she easily dogged him.
Shiki realized this instantly as he began to throw a series of attacks.
"how is this possible…?" he questioned, "You speed is way to fast for even an A-rank" he said because she was dodged with ease and without any emotions on her face, like doing this was simple for her.
Shiki faces started to become pale as he thought of the possibility that he might be dealing with an S-ranker. He cursed his bad luck before he was slammed down onto the ground suddenly.
Peony looked solemnly at the corpse laying on the ground.
"For the dead you will pay" she said. Shiki lifted his eyes as the girl's hair and eyes started to turned silver. And the all too familiar appearance of Glass Hall was finally complete.
"You can talk…You where supposed to be mute" Shiki said
".... "She stepped on his head and seemingly crushed it to the ground. The man didn't even have a chance to scream as his head was completely crushed into goo.
"Now what to do with you?" Peony turned her head to the prisoner trying to play dead. He twitched in fear and shivered at her chilling voice. Before he was dragged by something invisible. He began to scream in fear.
"Do you think you deserve to scream over the things that you have done? How does it feel to be helpless? How does it feel to be overpowered? You have done such unpleasant things to so many women before me. You even planned to do so with me when you got the chance."
He was lifted up and faced the growling goblins that didn't dare come close to Peony, as they were afraid of her.
"Such a person like you…." She trailed off as the invisible force had thrown the prisoner into the horde of goblins that tore him to pieces as his wails of pain where heard throughout. She stared coldly as she thought back to something.

Glass had walked through the golden door she seemed to be in a hallway of sorts. She saw a huge mirror off to the side her appearance had slightly changed her hair and eyes had more of a shade of Pink.
She heard shuffling, from the end. Many thoughts where running through her as she approached to a woman leaned over a fountain entranced by what was in its waters.
"Oh, so you did make it" She said not turning around as she was still watching the waters. "Mmmm, something is wrong." She said.
Glass began to feel intense pain as she collapsed for the women. Her eyes half opened as she had finally turned around and a familiar face had come to mind.
"Your…" She winced.
"Its nice to see you again Glass" Mana said bringing the girl onto her lap.
"But it seems like this is your limit. Unfortunately, some gods die on the threshold."
"…" she looked at Mana not understanding what she meant.
"Basically, you became a god. But can't withstand it. So, you might end of dying right here." She said simply
"…." her voice was locked she couldn't even speak.
"I almost forgot how beautiful you are, you can almost rival Lotus." Mana said with an amused face before she looked back at the fountain and the expanded orb. "That's it I've decided from now on you will be on of my Children. Mana lifted Glass and brought her closer to the Orb.
"It will take a while but trust me you will still be able to live. Goddess of Victory"
That was the last thing Glass heard before she slipped into the orb losing her consciousness before waking on a bed next to the person who was to be her husband.
Peony had often wondered if she should have accepted things so quickly. But, In the End, it turned out for the better.
