119 Chapter 11: Winter, Childhood to Remember

Rose relaxed on a cold beach with Jean in the outside Terrance. Both where quiet

"Allison?"

"Call me Rose, Jean," she said sadly "It's painful to be called Allison again."

"I'm sorry" he nodded "Rose…" the overly nervous Jean was sweetly cute.

"Jean, do you remember our first Concert together."

"Yeah, he piano prodigy Jean and the angelic violinist Alli…Rose pair up for a concert."

"I remember saying to you that, your piano playing was like watching a struggling fish."

"yeah, and your violin playing had no depth."

"Do you still play the piano."

"Sometimes when I'm free, but not much after my father's business expanded. Not that I don't like working with him."

"I take that you stopped hating your father."

Jean nodded "Rose your mother…"

"I know, to be honest, I've been thinking about going back." She looked deeply at Jean "Jean I have a 6-month-old baby."

"…?!" Jean face was paled "You mean you…"

"Yes, I gave birth to a baby boy named Winter" Jean was speechless "That's why my mother is using you to convince me to come back" She leaned back into the bench "She knows full well, that where I am at isn't safe."

"I see" Jean leaned back too

Rose smiled "I knew you'd understand"

"What do you plan to do?"

"I promised to stay with the family for four months, and now I have three months left. Once, it's over I plan to go back with my mother to England. My Father left a horse ranch they're before he died, So I'll settle and raise Winter there."

"….." Jean was quiet as it seemed like his handsome face wanted to say more. Rose closed her eyes as she stood up

"I'm still someone who supposed to be working so I'll get back to work." Rose walked as she smiled and waved at Jean who responded with the same expression before getting lost into deep thought.

He remembered the day she got kidnapped, as they were both together. If it hadn't been for Rose, he would have been the one kidnapped. His today is possible, because of her.

"Miss Rose," Rose turned around to see that it was June calling out to her "Can we have a short chat?" he questioned

"I'd love to, But I have to work."

"There are other people…"

"Sorry, But I insist on working," Rose said politely before walking away with June following her. This didn't go unnoticed by Anthony or June's girlfriend

"You guys are coming in together?" his girlfriend

"We meet outside," June said

"We only ran in each other ma'am," Rose said, "I have to get back to work now" Rose once again walked away quickly

When the party was over, Anna, Anise, and Anthony had left without Rose. She signed and smiled as she gave them a surprise that she had gotten home before them when they left first.

Winter has always been a good boy. Rose had laid next to her chubby-cheeked son that just stared at her with a smile. Rose had kept an Eye on Miss Meggs who was the babysitter, who seemed to be showing symptoms of pregnancy.

"How long have you and your lover been together?" Rose questioned suddenly brought the women's attention.

"Three… No, two years" Rose poked Winter's cheek "Are you going to tell him?"

"I hope to be married to him within the year," Meggs said

"It might be better not to" she whispered

"!?!" Meggs was surprised as she was second-guessing what Rose had said.

"You can have the day off tomorrow, it's the weekend, so I can take care of Winter by myself" She smiled

"Ahh! Thank you, ma'am" Meggs quickly got up and left with an overly excited face."

"How sad" Rose smile dropped as she watched the babysitter rush out the door. Buzz, Rose heard

her phone ring.

"Hey, Rose" she heard Jake's familiar voice.

"I take that you're feeling better."

"Yeah"

"My mom is there, isn't she?"

"Yeah"

"I take Aunt and Uncle are huddled in a corner"

"Yes"

"You can put her on Jake"

"Well, Well, how my beloved daughter doing?" Ashlyn's voice said through the phone

"Hello, Mother" Rose's turned soft

"So, when can I meet my grandson"

"After these three months are up."

"Aww, but I can't wait that long"

"I'm sure you can. After all, your men spying on the whole family"

"So, you noticed"

"Of course, I did"

"Oh, yes that's right. I just found out that you are the witness the Connells have been searching for."

"I see."

"You don't sound surprised."

"It wasn't hard to put the pieces together, Afterall my Amulet was in Griffin's office."

"So, how long do you think it will take for then to realize, you were at the scene. And could give descriptions of the perpetrators, who target old man Connells, son?"

"I don't care."

"Is that so."

"Yes"

"Rose are you willing to come back with me?" Ashlyn question seriously this time.

"Yes. I am" Rose looked at her son who looked like he could fall asleep at anytime
