1 A new beginning

I slowly open my eyes, it was dark around me , where am i? as my vision got clear and clear i started recognising my old classroom's desks, am i at school?

"hey Yasuo are u sleeping?"

"What, who? Jonathan? what's going o? is this a dream?"

Jonathan:"Are u kidding me? wake up, teacher is going to start soon".

No way, did i travelled into another world? AHHH, pain, i grabbed my head, these are my memories but i was also someone else before, who am i?

"it's ok Jonathan, thanks for awakening me, what class are we following?"

"Don' t u remember? well whatever, it's danger management and survival in dungeons"

O.O "can u repeat pls i have misread dungeons?"

" like video game dungeons?"

And than it hit me, dungeons: around a year ago on earth suddenly people started dying and not even authority could tell what was going on; only a mad man or believed so at the beginning come back alive from a dungeon, they interrogate him and started a program in the eventuality what he said was true.

After more and more people come back alive and told similar stories, the government put together a task force to limit civilian's deaths and here we are with our 1st lesson of the emergency program they made up

Teacher: "quiet our lesson is starting. Alessandra go and close the door pls"

" yes teacher " Suddenly walls start changing displaying a lot of diapositives following teacher voice, it was really cool and real and also sound seemed to have depth

Teacher:" people who survived found themselves in different environments with a labyrinth like structure, not in the sense with walls and a path to choose , more like an open world labyrinth with different kinda threats or enigmas. Only smarter and stronger men come back, we don't how many dungeons are out there or where are they exactly, there was a recording later authenticated of a man working in a building site, u can see it on you left:there was a man working the cement and suddenly: "I COME BACK" crying "I DID IT".

We inferred that time on earth won't pass while in a dungeon or it pass so slowly that we cannot realise it , there is basically no separation from were u live and when u come back from our perspective.

The lesson went on about basic survival in different environments, some general knowledge about what's edible and what's not, it was kinda boring so i just wrote it down, what are the chances i enter a dungeon anywa... wtf SERIOUSLY did i transmigrate again, a fucking dungeon NOW for fuck sake

Teacher "this is a reproduction of a dungeon plus some details to make it more realistic, FUCK that was close, cold sweats

Teacher:" we tried to represent flora and fauna of this 'new world', most o them we can find on earth other are never seen before, like this and that ; most of animals are pacific other are aggressive, we had also cases of no fauna at all , in this specific dungeon the guys starving ate a poisonous fruit"

An orange like apple appeared "and that is all the guy remembered ,after he come back he found he lost a leg, there were signs of bitings , from the marks left the creature's mouth was similar in size to an adult shark's one, we think the poison killed that beast and he completed the dungeon but its only a speculation maybe it was just a time related quest, we don't know yet"

A bespectacled student: "excuse me who are the we u are referring to?"

"well we are a special force made up of the best scientists, soldiers, elites of every branch", "are there any more questions?"

"That will be all for today", , bow, "good bye".

Jonathan:"well my sister told me u can actually acquire abilities in a dungeon, isn't it cool? she work for Ennerman the one who invented genetic architecture, i wasn' t supposed to say it, just don't tell others, it's already known anyways but not many still believed it. I was told the guy poisoned now is quasi immune to poisons, even fatal ones

Marco:"Oh shut up, do u really believe in that hogwash? it's just a way govern hid their illegal stuff , maybe some virtual reality trial not ended well? superpower ahahah"

Me:"Lets go guys, i'm hungry "

Marco: "have u seen Sarah i heard she received another declaration yesterday"

Me: "ok ,what do u guys take? i'll bring it"

Another classmate :"Mense food is the best food, i wish i could eat here forever ,why do we need to graduate so soon? "

i am-was kinda bored, my mother wanted me to became famous, rich but i didn't really care just living for me was enough, well until dungeon started appearing, the previous me seemed pretty excited , super powers, longevity, adventures, for some reason he didn't see dangers at all, whatever, i was hoping to not enter a dungeon ever , but unfortunately destiny decided otherwise

i was going home that same day when i faced my first one

AHHHHH COME ON, it was real this time, a fucking white room SOMEONE, PLS ,what should i do? no walls, nothing, is it time related? i started walking then running, nothing, maybe i have to run for a precise distance? i ran for days, it was hard at the beginning but easier later, luckily no food was required. My body kept improving , i could run without effort now and so i started thinking while running, if it's a time or distance related problem it will solve itself someday but if it's not? maybe i need to increase some of my stats? or acquire new abilities? should i stay still for some time maybe? And so i tried everything i thought: i practiced jumps, squats, push ups

My strenght went from 1,1 to 1,2 than 1,3 , vitality to 1,5 from 0,9 there were other stats i couldn t comprehend like mana or genes: mana 0 gene 1

After 1,5 stats didn't grow no matter what and so i focused on mana: is it external, internal , should i absorb something , transform or release something? i tried to listen to my body, then the environment but nothing
