What does it matter if he was not their biological child? They adopted him and treated him with such love and affection that even he, a child, could feel it.

And so he spent the night, thinking and when the sun came up, he realized he was there, in that tree, on time. And after a few minutes, he heard the screams, with the same desperation as the night before, that his parents were giving, but now he went down and went towards them.

And she hurriedly asked "Clark, my son, are you okay, are you hurt? The mother didn't want to hide it from you, my son, we did this to protect you" she expected a rebuttal, but only heard her son's cry who ran towards her and, very carefully, as if afraid of breaking it, hugged her and cried and said

"Mom, I'm sorry, I didn't want to run away, I didn't want to leave you and your father worried, I'm so stupid and ungrateful, I don't deserve to have you as parents, but please don't leave me"

"It's alright Clark, your father and I will never leave you, you are our life. And you are not stupid, it is normal to be angry and sad when you hide something from us, even more something as important as our origin, but I want you, no matter how old you are, to know that what we do is always for your good, always.

"Come on, Clark. I'm going to prepare a delicious lasagna, just the way you like it and I'm also going to make you a pudding"

Said Martha as she gently pulled him towards HER home, and hearing this he said "thank you" to which his mother and father just smiled.
