Fucked up big time....

I knew I fucked up big time. I was seeing things I KNOW I was never supposed to see and from their conversation, I was now smack dab in the middle of a war because of my curiousness.

" DAMN!" I cursed inwardly.

Although I was so scared I could cry, I was also feeling thrilled and excited as my heart rate increased, sounding no different from a well-tuned drum. This was something I dreamed of in my spare time, a change from my ordinary life.

There were monsters in front of me, I could hardly believe it as I continued to watch.

As the smaller teamed stood there a little stunned, the man in the tunic made his move.

He launched himself toward the woman and her team and attacked. His other clan members followed his lead, cackling as the swung whatever weapon their hands held.

"I can't believe you would shift into your forms in a human infested territory!" she said in disbelief.

" Don't you care what the High Council will do? "

" Don't hurt your pretty little head, Nephilim dog" he spat out repulsively.

" They'll get what's coming to them next."

The tunic man swung with great force toward the beautiful woman but she parried easily with a sword from nowhere, making it seemed like child's play. He continued slashing and cutting, trying to cut open the woman.

However, the woman seemed to be getting pushed back as the time drew on. Then, the woman and her team changed into huge werewolves mid fight but it didn't seem to interfere with her momentum. She took the lead a kicked the man into a bench nearby. Which so happened to be close to my hiding spot.

I clasped my hands over my mouth, should I make any sound. The man got up from the benches remains and charged right back at her without a decrease in pace.

While I was watching their fight, I didn't forget to search for a way out. As much as I was excited about seeing mythical monsters and a war between factions, I was very concerned about my health and safety. Which, unfortunately, would be in jeopardy should I stay any longer.

Just as I was about to make a move, I saw a shadow in the sky and the next moment a man with huge black wings flew down from the sky and landed in the middle of the busy battlefield.

'W-Wait a minute.....wings!?' i thought mind boggled as my jaw dropped open. Considering all I've seen, this should not have surprised me, yet it did.

In the next few moments, however, I was gifted yet another huge surprise.

The man raised his head up slowly and I was able to see all his features clearly. He had short hair black with long bangs framing his cold emerald green eyes. His face chillingly cold, like an ice block straight from Antarctica. His figure was equally eye-catching, even though he is fully clothed in a red jersey with a leather jacket and black jeans, with black boots to match, his muscled outline was mouth watering.

I gasped in admiration, but little did I know that the gasp made the beautiful woman that was now a werewolf aware of me.

Liams Pov

When I arrived at the park, I saw that we were outnumbered 2:1. Nonetheless, this was an elite team not easily beaten. Plus it was led by Alita herself, so I had nothing to worry about. But as I looked on, the giant she was facing seemed as if he was stalling for time. His attacks were strong but I knew he wasn't putting in his all.

It was getting dangerous.

" Looks like I need to finish this quickly or it could turn troublesome, " I thought uneasily.

He wasn't afraid to fight, even if there was back up, he was confident he could take them all. But he didn't want the public anymore involved as it was already, otherwise, he would catch hell from not only his brother but the High Council. Dealing with them was always annoying and irritating.

As I landed, I could feel something calling out to me. It was intangible and seamless. Distracted I shifted my head to where it was coming from but decided to check it out afterward. Even though I was confident in defeating all of these pathetic weaklings I would never discard any opponent. Sensing movement to my left, I pulled out my katana from behind my back in one smooth movement and slashed at the enemy sending them back.

" Let finish this quickly," folding in my wings, I said to the alpha team.

The giant that was stalling for time knew he was found out so he tried to retreat. I wasn't having it though. I stabbed towards his right shoulder and kicked towards his knee at the same time. He managed to dodge my attack aimed at his shoulders but my second attack hit. He went down on one knee unsteadily. I took the opportunity to slice towards his neck. He dodged again but this time I was ready for it. As he did a ground sweep, I jumped up onto his right shoulder and swiftly stabbed my sword straight through his collarbone. He squealed in pain and attempted to grab a hold of my legs but I backflipped and dragged my sword that was still penetrated inside him backward.

This move took his whole shoulder off, blood flying in the air along with pieces of flesh. He shouted in pain while his left hand flailed everywhere. I finished him off by slicing his head off then wiped my blade on his now falling corpse.

I looked around at the battle noticing that we gained back the advantage. In order to hurry the battle along I went around killing off the enemy's men that were either running after seeing their leader fall or charging at me in anger.

After everything was finished, Alita and her team changed back to human forms,

" We need to leave, now. There will be back up coming soon." I cautioned.

" What about the bodies?" a member of the team asked.

" Call the cleanup crew and give them our coordinates. Also, contact one of our people who is connected to this park or knows someone who is and get this park closed down. The cleanup crew will take care of the rest."

" Yes your highness" everyone shouted in respect. Every one except Alita that is.

I grunted in response, then walked away.

Jogging to catch up to me Alita held my shoulder to hold me back but I immediately sent her a look.

She took back her hands and mumbled a "sorry" under her breath. She knew better than to touch me but whatever she wanted may be serious so I let it go.

lowering her voice she said " There's someone in the bush. It might be a human. What should I do? she asked.

" I'll take care of it, you and your team do what I have said and leave. I might take a while to get back, " I commanded.

" Ok then," she said and left. I waited till they all left then followed the strange feeling.

' Just what is this feeling. My body feels as if it's alive for the very first time.' I frowned in thought.

' A treasure? Whatever it is, I'll find out soon'.
