5 project

As if 2000 pounds were placed on her shoulders, Song Qiu painfully got up and moved extremely reluctantly to the area where the rest of her group mates were gathered. Because she was the last one to arrive, the only seat available was next to Lu Zheng. Song Qiu cried in her heart as she resisted being near him.

'Why isn't the female lead sitting next to the male lead?!'

Song Qiu didn't dare look at him as she pulled out the chair and sat as inconspicuously as possible. Lu Zheng didn't pay attention to her behavior as his eyes were closed with his legs propped on the table arrogantly.

Observing the the two other boys in the group, Song Qiu didn't need to guess which one was Cheng Zhi and which one was Zhang Hu. Cheng Zhi was the easiest to identify due to his thin black rimmed glasses and gentle peach blossom eyes. In the book, there were several readers that had gone crazy for Cheng Zhi's refined and scholarly air brought by his spectacles. However, at one point in the book, he had lost control of his temper and forcibly ripped of his glasses to confess to the female lead boldly. The fact that a usually peaceful and calm person suddenly became domineering for the female lead made the readers swoon and cry when he was rejected. Seeing his understanding and serene temperament in person, Song Qiu had to admit he naturally brought those around him a sense of ease. She couldn't help but compare Lu Zheng and Cheng Zhi. If Lu Zheng was the typical bad student who skipped class, get into fights, and drank alcohol, Cheng Zhi was the model class president type of student who would do their assignments on time, receive the praise of teachers, and be that one person to score a perfect on a difficult exam.

'Really the male lead and the second male lead are as different as night and day,' sighed Song Qiu.

Song Qiu couldn't help but also look at Zhang Hu. In contrast to his heroic sounding name, Zhang Hu looked very cute and youthful with large rounded eyes and thick bangs covering his forehead. When he smiled, his eyes would bend into crescent moons and two pear vortexes could be seen near the corners of his lips. He was so adorable looking that an urge to bully him was birthed in Song Qiu. Due to his shy nature, Zhang Hu was the type of male lead who liked the female lead secretly behind the scenes and never confessed. Despite this, he never once frowned at her or had a hard temper. In fact, he had always retained his infectious sunshine aura in front of her. Song Qiu felt a slight sense of pity for him and Cheng Zhi. The two were bound to get rejected by Qiao Xing.

Seeing that everyone in the group was here, Cheng Zhi spoke up. His deep cello timber hit Song Qiu's ears unexpectedly, drawing her attention to him.

"Alright, I have a few ideas for this project but I want to hear the ideas you all have first."

Song Qiu hadn't paid attention to what the professor said earlier and wasn't even sure what the project was about. She looked down and avoided eye contact in hopes that Cheng Zhi wouldn't put her on the spot. She really had no ideas. Fortunately for her, no one else in the group said anything either.

Listening to the caws of crows, Cheng Zhi wasn't flustered and instead pitched his idea calmly.

Pushing his glasses up, he said, "Since nobody else has an idea, let's go with mine. I think we should first examine the trends of the domestic economy and identify which areas are lacking so we can build a business to develop in that direction. I have some knowledge about the market…"

The words Cheng Zhi spoke went in one ear and out the other. What trends? What domestic economy? Sorry, she's a medical scumbag and can't understand whatever business affairs. Song Qiu made up her mind to agree with whatever Cheng Zhi was saying and place her 100% faith into him. However, before she could nod her head after his short proposal, Lu Zheng opened his eyes slowly and smirked.

He replied with a careless attitude, saying, "Not bad, but you are still behind. The funds we are allocated can't cover such a high scale project. You didn't even calculate operation expenses and not to mention, what is with your equity ratio? As if anyone would invest with such a low payout..."

Cheng Zhi slightly pulled the edges of his lips down and he defended his idea, "First off, you were the one who miscalculated. I clearly did include it and…"

The two went on for a while, making Song Qiu's ears bleed. First off, she couldn't even understand the terms they were using and secondly, she really doesn't know what the project was even about! Were they actually building a business?? Naturally, not. The project was just a simulation and they had a certain budget of fake virtual funds to develop the most profitable business, which would be determined by the simulation stock value. Regardless of whether she knew this or not, Song Qiu simply acted out the roll of a background wallpaper waiting for the two to decide on an idea. Eventually, to settle the dispute, Cheng Zhi proposed to take a vote. Zhang Hu voted for Cheng Zhi and Qiao Xing voted for Lu Zheng, leaving Song Qiu as the last person to vote. With everyone's eyes on her, Song Qiu grew more and more flustered.

'If I vote for Cheng Zhi, I'll offend the male lead but if I vote for Lu Zheng, I'll offend the second male lead!' she thought worriedly.

Song Qiu couldn't afford to offend either of the two big gods.
