What a Boring Way to Go

Walking out the front door, Camila had a bad feeling for some reason .She Walked down the steps that lead to the front yard and searched for her parents.

Usually she wouldn't follow after them, but she felt as if she had to this time .

Still searching around, she finally spotted her mother on the other side of street . Elizabeth was crossing the street with Camila's father following behind her .It looked like Elizabeth wasn't frustrated any longer.

Relieved, Camila was about to head back inside when she noticed something that made her heart drop.

Approaching the same intersection that Camila's mother was crossing was a large silver truck that showed no signs of slowing down.

Heart racing, Camila's eyes travelled between the truck and her mother rapidly.She looked toward her father hopefully, but he didn't seem to notice the impending danger either.She stood there desperately, waiting for either the driver or her mother, she didn't care which, to notice the situation.

But her hope was in vain, because the car still sped toward her mother, who was now in the middle of the street, oblivious.

And in a instant, Camila made a decision.

Running toward her mother, who was still laughing happily, Camila prayed to all the gods she could think of that she would make it.

And when Camila pushed her shocked mother to side, successfully saving her, her wish was granted.But of course, it came at the price of her boring, dull, monotonous, little life.

Her father, mother, and oldest sister, who were all there to see her death, felt that her ending wasn't boring at all .In fact, they were rather shocked at how it came to be.

But Camila who was the target of this shocking death, couldn't help but think,

'What a boring way to go.'

And then she died.
