3 Birthday PT.1

At my birthday

It is always so easy to read what people will get you if you take what they know about you into consideration. That is why I knew that there would be those yarn-stick-things and yarn awaiting my opening in one of the many presents laying on that table.

I didn't have a lot of friends. Besides being rebellious and anxty, I was socially awkward. My parents probably knew, because every year they would spend soo much on gifts. I might've even had more than what the norm was for people with friends. On top of that, they also took the day off.

With only me and my parents at the "party," everything was dictated by me. There was no rush to open what I got, so the first thing to do was to go and get onto the virtual world.

Companies would pay big bucks to get someone who had powers relating to their jobs. Those powers that everyone had gained were not going to waste. Lights grew brighter, computers benefitted infinitely, and virtual reality made leaps and bounds.

You could do anything there. Time even moved slower inside the virtual world (a 2 to 1 ratio). When this was introduced, stores lost revenue. People would rather get online instead of leaving their house. Of course, the government intervened. They paid John Snow (AN: Hehe and he made the vr world in this instance with his powers) heavy bucks to alter the world for there to be a program that used a real scanner that scans rooms and puts a model into the world (for a small fee). They also gave every household one pair of goggles for each person in the family. Everyone had one.
