She said yes!

Jake

"Laura," I began, my voice low and steady, "life is unpredictable. We've both seen that. But if this has taught me anything, it's that I don't want to waste another second wondering. The next minute isn't guaranteed, so why delay?"

I opened the box, revealing a beautiful ring that sparkled under the flashing lights. A smile lined my face as she looked down at me.

"Will you marry me, Laura?" I asked while she chuckled and just stared at me.

"Jake, but we are in the middle of nowhere. I just got kidnapped and we don't even know what the future holds." She whined.

"That's all in the past, and even the more reason why we should do this. I don't want to waste anymore minute without you. I've hesitated in the past and I regret it. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so I would rather spend today with you than wait till tomorrow that's not certain." I let out.

"Make me the happiest man on earth, Laura. Marry me."
