1 Second Chance

As you gain your clarity back. What you saw is a world where no light is visible except your body. You blinked a few times but it's still black.

You're starting to get nervous when you remembered what happened before you went here.

"I died, while saving that kid." Then you remember you purpose. "Well, technically it's not suicide but this works for me too."

"So, am I in hell?"

As you observed your surroundings again, a voice started to speak to you.

[Do you want a second chance?]

Startled, you checked behind you. An old man wearing a white robe is standing behind you while stroking his beard.

"Who're you? Are you the one who guides souls or something?"

[Yes, you humans called me a Reaper. But I'm not all black and bones you see.] he said while laughing lightly.

[Well then young man, as you live your life honestly I can guide you where your soul can live peacefully. If you would've succeed your goal to kill yourself, well, lets just say you would be seeing a different environment right now.] he said while winking at me.

I gulped while thinking of the raging fire that usually the place for the souls who committed wrong doings without conscience.

"Like the Hell in my world?"

[Something similar.]

"Close call." you shuddered. "So, what's this second chance that I heard from you first?"

[The second option is to have a second chance. Because you saved that child who's going to be a Major player in baseball and donate his money to the poor which saves 3 934 810 million people in the future, you gained half of that as your karma. So, your choice?]

"I want a second chance please." I really regretted that I just became a leech of my previous family that keeps sucking their money. So I want a life where I can be successful.

[Thought so, but there will be a condition. After you die naturally in your chosen world, you will become a Reaper and help us. In exchange, I'll make sure you will be successful in your next life. I'll give you a power that will guide you to become the best. So will you agree?

"Of course!" then I suddenly remembered the kids profession. "Can I go to the Major world like in the anime?"

[Oh, that world. Sure you can, what else?]

"Can I get a system solely for baseball!?" This time, I will focus on becoming the best in baseball. I need to do this, as a thanks for that kid for giving me this chance.

[Huh, system? Let's see.... Ah! I can certainly help you with that. But solely for baseball? Why is that?]

"It's fine." After sorting everything out. "I think I can go now."
