5 Alcohol Prohibited In School, Seriously!?

"Wow, amazing! That was an awesome battle!

"Wanko was amazing, but that Niko guy was great as well! He has some serious strength! Foreigners are amazing!"

"I know right? I bet his punches must have hurt a whole lot!"

The crowd roared.

"So...Wanko lost, huh. Wait, this happens all the time..."

"She keeps picking fights and losing, but it's charming in its own way!"

The girls in her class were discussing.

They weren't making fun of her in any way. They were saying the truth, as Wanko was known to have a role of an underdog who loved fighting powerful opponents on purpose to get stronger and stronger.

Lots of people respected her for trying so much.

"Hopefully, she is fine," Gakuto murmured, "That damn foreigner! See how I beat him up!" Gakuto grabbed his badge tightly. He was thinking about it from the beginning. He wanted to challenge him, but once he witnessed his strength, he got cold feet.

He knew he could not defeat him, as his power reminded him of Momoyo, who he can't even receive a few hits without falling over.

Seeing Gakuto's outburst, Miyako grinned, "Heeh, since when did you care about Wanko so much? Is it possible that you like her?" She teased him even though she knew it wasn't the truth.

Gakuto rolled his eyes at her, "Me? Do you think I like the dog? Certainly not! I am not into younger girls, after all. You know I would only date older women, but that's not the point here at all. Wanko is one of us, and now she's been injured. Why are all of you guys pretending as if nothing has happened!?"

Moro put a hand on his back, "Gakuto, it's nothing new for her to be injured. She is our little dog friend. She is reckless and always gets in fights. Don't worry too much. The principal can cure small injuries like this, she will be fine." He gazed at the leaving figure of Nikolai and continued, "Ivanovich-san seems a bit cold, but I feel like he is a good person at heart, so don't pointlessly hate on him. Give him a chance."

Gakuto looked at the ground and tried to think about his friend's words. He certainly wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but even gorillas think sometimes.

He took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

Momoyo flicked his forehead, making him fall over.

"Agh! Momo-senpai, what was that for!?" He rubbed the spot on his head and knew it would probably leave a small bruise.

Momoyo looked into the distance and spoke, "Don't worry too much about Kazuko. I am glad that you are worried about her, but this was just a spar. Nothing serious." She scanned Kazuko's body from afar and concluded that she was fine. "Hm, her bones are alright, but I am sure there will be bruises.

In any case, he helped her a lot just now. He had no intentions of crippling or worse, killing her."

Yamato was confused, "Now I am lost, how exactly did he help her?"

He was know for his intelligence and amazing strategies, yet he didn't understand what she meant.

Momoyo slightly lowered her voice as she addressed Yamato's doubts.

"Ah, my foolish little brother, during the fight, he helped her break her limiter on her talent, although it's something you will probably never understand. You could say he raised her strength." She stood up from her seat and started walking away.

Even as Yamato accepted the words that followed, they shook him a little.

While he wasn't that knowledgeable about martial arts, even he could see that his big sister was being serious.

"Threshold? Oh, could it be..." Miyako widened her eyes in realization. She hailed from the family of archers, and she heard of the term talent threshold before.

"That's good. The dog should back on her feet soon then." Chris commented while feeling a little bit relieved herself. Kazuko was the first person she got to know since she came to Japan. She was also the first person she got to fight. They kind of saw each other as rivals, and while Kazuko was feeling a little bit hostile towards her, Chris regarded her as her friend.

"See, Gakuto? When Momo-senpai says so, then it's the truth." Moro gazed at Gakuto, who was still lost in his thoughts. "Come, we need to go to the classroom. The next class is math." Moro grabbed the manga he was reading and dragged Gakuto away.

Soon enough, everything calmed down, and the unconscious Kazuko was taken away by the principal.

Nikolai was about to reach his classroom but was swarmed by his new classmates.

"You were so strong! It was simply too amazing!" A girl with light brownish hair spoke to him.

"Congratulations on your fight! I will give you a hand claps for your performance." *Clap* *Clap* A small pink-haired lolita cut in.

"I can see getting along with someone like you. Most people don't like cold types, so if you have trouble fitting in, come and talk to me, but don't take it for granted." A tall black-haired boy said with a glare, his eyes soon, however, relaxed and welcomed him to the classroom.

"That was Awesome!" The Captain ran around him in circles multiple times and looked him up and down, "I could see the freedom of your movement! Our class welcomes you and if you need anything, just ask!" He handled Nikolai ten one-time meal tickets and dashed off. "See ya later, transfer student with free spirit!"

'What a weird guy. He seemed to be a free spirit himself.' He smiled as he looked down at the meal tickets. 'Well, at least I don't need to worry about starving for now.' He faced the people in front of him.

He was genuinely surprised at the warm welcome he has received. Maro told him the class was full of rodents and troublemakers. It may have been true, but he would rather get along with people like them, than some rich folks that flaunted their social status.

In his mind, he could imagine Maro's dirty face, laughing at commoners. At least to him, he gave off that kind of aura.

Well, in contrast to his expectations, a warm welcome was always nice.

He thanked them with a slight bow, "Thanks. I am not sure how long I will stick around, but good to know you." Not long after, he felt a presence behind him.

He quickly turned around and found out it was just the principal, "Hey there, Nikolai-kun. Mind joining me for a bit?" He slyly smiled. It was that kind of smile where you couldn't exactly tell what the person was thinking.

Nikolai nodded and walked away with him.

'He is the grandfather of the energetic kid I just beat down. Is it possible he wants revenge or is it something else? Nah, I doubt he is the type to hold a grudge.'

***

The headmaster's room was beautiful. It had all sorts of interesting things, from trophies to a giant grandfather's clock.

Nikolai used to have a clock like that back at home. He could also relate to those trophies as he won quite the lot. Seeing things he found familiar warmed his heart.

He took a seat across from the principal's desk, crossing his legs in a relaxed manner.

"Ohoho, I see you've made yourself at home. I am glad. There is something I would like to discuss with you, is that alright?" The principal prepared the tea for both of them and sat down in front of Nikolai.

"Sure, as long as it's not something private then I don't care." Nikolai glanced at the cup of tea and continued, "I was hoping for a glass of something else instead of the tea, but I guess it does the trick." He took the cup into his hands and slowly sipped on it. It was still a bit hot, but there was nowhere to rush.

"Ohoho, Nikolai-kun, alcohol is strictly forbidden in the Kawakami University. I heard that people from Russia have a huge appetite when it comes to drinking, but I sincerely hope you won't break any more rules regarding alcohol in the future," Something about the principal has changed as Nikolai noticed numerous pictures of fierce animals projected behind him.

It felt like an illusion, something Nikolai has never seen before.

The largest picture that felt the most dangerous of all of them, was a picture of a tiger. A loud tiger roar echoed in the headmaster's office.

It felt like a tick. In the area of five kilometers, each and every martial artist that has reached a certain threshold of strength could feel their bones vibrate in fright. They immediately stopped doing whatever they've been doing, as their instincts of survival triggered a threat.

They felt like it was their last moment on earth. Sadly though, the people around them couldn't feel or hear anything, and they just looked at them weirdly.

Each and every one of these geniuses were in battle mode.

Soon enough, however, they relaxed as they realized it was just a false alarm.

"Jeez, don't scare me like that, stupid old man." A certain nasty looking man sighed in relief and loaded another cargo box on the train.

***

A charming girl was sitting on the edge of the rooftop of the Kawakami University, swinging her legs up and down and looking down on the people, as if they were just ants to her.

Momoyo was eating cupcakes made by one of her fans. Being the perfect, beautiful, tall, black haired girl with big boobs had a lot of perks. She was a hundred percent serious when she said this.

She would get presents, money, food just for living and lazing around the University the whole day, and then there was her little bro, who would occasionally lend her money and food as well. Not to mention the crowds of cute fangirls cheering for her whenever she fought. Life was bliss.

'What can I do. I was born this pretty. I am a sinner.' She munched on the cupcakes as if her life depended on it. She didn't eat much since the morning, and even during Kazuko's fight, she had no appetite, but right after everything was over, she had to eat the whole buffet with desserts.

'Now then, there is the last row of cupcakes, I am sure to savor this.' She laughed and put a cupcake to her mouth, it almost touched her alluring lips, when she sensed the strong projection of someone's Ki.

She quickly stood up, and not long after, the feeling went away.

'Jeez, it was just the stupid old man...one of these days I am gonna get a heart attack.' She sat down in disappoinment and felt like her lap was a bit lighter than it was before.

"The cupcakes!? Where are they!?" She looked everywhere and then it dawned upon her. She looked down from the rooftop and there they were. All six of her cupcakes, including the one she had in her hand were fallen on the ground, mercilessly slaughtered.

"Ah, three second rule, three second rule! I-Instant transmission!" She disappeared from the rooftop and reappeared next to the cupcakes. She quickly picked them up but noticed someone already stomped on them so she threw them out into the bin.

Anger overcame her as she looked towards the window of the headmaster's office. "Stupid Old Man!" She shouted and unlike the Ki transmission which could be felt only by a few individuals, her yell was definitely heard by everyone in the school.

***

Nikolai was fascinated by this old man, "That was amazing, how did you do it?"

The old man smiled and replied, "Years of practice, of course, with your talent, you can learn it as well." He gave him a small hint.

"Do you have a place to stay?" Tesshin really wanted to thank him for helping Kazuko and reward him for his generosity.

Nikolai went deep in thought. 'The quest did say I would receive some kind of house, so should I assume my housing worries are gone, or should I ask him to help me?' A few moments passed and he came to a conclusion, "I have a house in mind, but if I was in a need of a roof under my head, I will gladly notify you."

"Good, good. You do that. Anyway, as you are such a good young man, I won't reprimand you for coming to school slightly drunk, but bear in mind that alcohol is prohibited at the school grounds, alright?" Tesshin closed his eyes and smiled, but Nikolai knew it was a threat.

'So he can feel the alcohol in me, unfortunate.' Nikolai resigned himself and replied, "You have my word, I won't consume alcohol on school grounds or before going to school, you sly old man." He tried smelling his breath but couldn't smell the alcohol at all.

'There must have been another way.'

"Ohoho, I am glad we have come to an understanding, young man. If you wish to feel drunk, try Kawakami water. It tastes like alcohol, you might feel a bit dizzy and yet there is no alcohol in it. It's just a special water produced by my employees. I can guarantee you will like it."

"Kawakami water? Alright, I will bear it in mind."

"Anyways, there is actually another reason I called you here," Tesshin said while scrolling through some of his documents that laid on his desk. "Every martial artist that attends this University, has a specific type of martial arts he practices. I will need to ask you to tell me your preferred martial art, so that I can write it down."

"Preferred martial art? Can't you just write it down as a mixed martial art?"

Tesshin shook his head and handed him the paper, "On this clause here, is written that there can officially be only one martial art. Kazuko, the girl you fought just now, practices Naginata Dance. Momoyo, my other granddaughter, practices Kawakami Techniques and so on. I will bring you the pen and you decide what to wri--"

"Stupid Old Man!"

Tesshin wasn't quite able to finish his sentence as he was interrupted by the howl of a hungry beast.
