The Guest-turned-Housemate

Philip came back with two maids behind him. one was carrying the tray of snacks Lisa requested and the other bringing the tray with a pitcher of lemonade and three glasses. Upon seeing the living room is still arranged as it was when he left, he let out a sigh and smiled. He was happy to see the two is okay now. But something in his feeling is strange.

Should he really be happy? Is she really fine at the moment?

"Aaaaaw... I love you dad! This is really the best!" Lisa can't help but clap gleefully upon the arrival of the nachos which is filled with a lot of onions, green bell pepper, melted and grated cheese and ground beef. The fries are served like a pizza where each quarter has different flavor: sour cream, barbecue, cheese and salty. It is accompanied by three different dips.

Lisa suddenly forgot what Lance was talking about and focused on the oozing sight before her. She started to form an indian seat so she could comfortably eat and started to eat the food. She giggled at the first taste on the nachos.

Philip and Lance stared at Lisa and widely grinned seeing the most important person in their lives happily eating the food as if it's her first time to taste them. They just watched her like that but when they saw that Lisa had already eaten almost half of what was served in just a few minutes, Lance coughed to catch her attention.

"Ahem! Ahem!"

Lisa went back to her senses. She's about to get another fries but her hand hang in the air and she slowly lifted her head and glared to the man who coughed who she caught smiling now.

'Did he really have to be that handsome? Why was his eyelashes seemed to be thicker and longer than mine? Are they true? And that lips... do they really have to be so kissable? Or more like biteable? If there is even such a word like that!'

Lisa continued to examine Lance face and body features that she didn't realize that Lance was already standing a few steps away from her holding a handkerchief and lending it to her.

Huh?

"You should've liked what you are seeing so much that you're drooling like that. Wipe your lips and chin Lis." Lance said without taking away the smile on his face.

Lisa looked up to him and stared at the hanky being lent to her. She touched her lips and chin and felt awkward when she touched a liquid. Ugh! Did she really drool? And how long had she been staring at him? And he was really proud and arrogant at that huh!

This is so embarassing!!!

She quicky wiped it with the back of her hands while slapping away the handkerchief that was handed to her!

"You! I did not drool, okay?! It's just because.. it's the.." Lisa stuttered while looking ate the table where the snacks and lemonade are seated and searching for an alibi. "It's the lemonade!" She got her half-emptied glass of lemonade and raised it to his face. What a savior!

"Really huh!" Lance still teased her.

"What?! You think I would really drool with that looks and body of yours? Gosh! It's still early to sleep yet! Come on... stop dreaming! You're not even a quarter of Chris Evan's features. Pfft!"

Lance smiled even more. She actually used to call him before that international actor's name as she thought they have a big resemblance.

As remembering the same thing, Lisa's eyes widened in shock of the slip of her tongue. Stupid mouth! She just continued eating and changed the topic.

"You know what? You better leave now. For sure, you still have something to be busied about. And for sure you've had enough catching up with my dad already. So, goodbye!" She spoke while still eating and not looking at Lance. She would not want to meet his eyes again.

"But we don't have enough yet!" he exclaimed. She glared at him as if throwing hundreds of invisible daggers to him but he seemed to have an invisible shield. "Chill Lis okay. I'm just kidding! But you're still cute when you're mad." He intentionally lowered his voice into a whisper on his last sentence so she would not hear it clearly.

"Whatever!"

He knew she'll go mad about that. He was liking how cool Lisa was at the moment and he did not want to ruin her current mood. Although he knew Lisa was suppressing her true feelings, he decided to just go with the flow. He knew in time he will be able to clear things out and get her genuine forgiveness for everything that happened in the past.

They were drawn with each other's teases and rebuts, they long noticed Philip who was watching them amusely. He let out a fake cough to get their attention.

"Ahem, ahem, aheeeem! Should I be put in a vase now? You seemed to forget about me. And you, Lisa! Why don't you even share the food with Lance?" he pointed at her daughter.

"Dad, you asked what we like, right? I answered and he didn't. I don't know what he likes so I cannot answer for him and I also assume that his silence means he's not hungry or he doesn't want any. If he said that he also liked the same food that I said then you should have doubled them." Of course, she was lying that she didn't know what Lance likes. How could she not know? But she was more eager to save the food... for herself. A wide grin was plastered in her face after her explanation.

"No one can really outsmart you when it comes to your favorites." Philip said, admitting an early defeat. He then turned to Lance. "You go and get your things now. Your room is ready?"

Lisa frowned, not comprehending what she just heard. "What the! Why?"

"Oh! Did he not tell you earlier?"

"What should he tell me?"

"He'll live here temporarily until his house across ours is completed."

Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped in disbelief.

SERIOUSLY?
