2 Chapter 2: Last Page

The sun is up and the city of Tokyo where I was transferred to was already rumbling.

I get out of bed and put on a set of clothing that I find in the closet which was probably prepared by the system.

I find a cellphone in my jackets side pocket along with a wallet and a set of keys...

I get on the computer in the hotel and search through the web for a nearby convenience store and find one just a couple blocks The away from the hotel I'm at currently.

I get out of the building and head to the small convenience store. I head into the kitchen tools isle and buy a kitchen knife then I head on over to the toys section because I spot a toy I'm interested in, it's a toy hand extension clamp and also pick up a binocular. I head towards the counter and see some buns on display in a warm food display counter and I picked a couple as well as a bubble drink, I wait my turn and then take out my wallet to pay for the goods. The moment I open my wallet my face darkens. I only have (3) 10,000 yen bills.

I quickly pay for the food and mutter to myself of how cheap the system was. It sent me a billionaire into the center of tokyo with only clothes a phone and 30,000 yen... (Note: Its about 272 dollars)

"This will probably last me about 2 days..."

sigh*

Now I need to find where his school is.

I don't remember the name of the school but I do remember that the school was near some railroad tracks.

I head back to my apartment and get on the web's map and I start searching for high schools near railroad tracks and I find one nearby with the name of Daikoku Private Academy. I look at pictures of the school and it matches up to the one in the anime. If I remember correctly the book drops through from the shinigami world during lights class and he picks it up after the bell for his last class ends so it should be near the end of the school hour. I patiently walk towards the school using the navigation of my phone and find myself in front of the school building. It is around 12:00 now so I walk towards the school gates and find that the gate in front of the school is shut and there are security guards nearby...

hmm... I need to get past them first then... I don't believe I can just walk into the school with a kitchen knife in hand...

I first run to a nearby store and by a backpack and stuff the items into the bag and then I move back towards the back of the school by the wall. I throw my backpack over the wall and hear the noise of it hitting the bushes bellow.

I then check the time. It's only 12:30. The classes end at 3:30 and Light can pick it up around then so it is safe to assume that no one is going to take the notebook until after the bell. I now need a way to bypass the security and get into the school. I'm not exactly a student so I can't just get inside passing through the front gate by disguising as a student, so maybe the brother of a student...

I wait 2 hours at a cafe near the school and when its around 2:30.

I walk up to the front gate.

"Hello, I'm here to pick up my little brothers backpack he forgot it yesterday, and he's sick so I was asked to come into get his stuff."

The guards look at each other and open the gates door and I verify my ID with them.

"Head straight and go through the front entrance there you'll need to go to the Main Office. You can sign in there."

The ID is basically a real one given to me by the system upon being sent here and it's not like I'm going to head towards the office to actually sign in so it didn't matter if they saw it or not.

I head straight down the hallway at a leisure pace and get to the back of the school. I see the back pack that I threw in land on a bush near the back of the school and I quickly pick it up.

Then I search the open ground area for notebook and find it under the shade in the grass.

The Death Note I finally see it.

But I seriously can't take the book as it would effect some plans I have, the book is Ryuk's so he can trace where the book is and I don't want a book that can have a shinigami brought to me, If possible I'd like a book that isn't owned by a shinigami. Such as Rem's Death Note so what I need is for Yagami to kill Rem first and then steal that unowned death note after he becomes L.

But even though I can't take the Death Note as a Whole I can take a page of the Notebook and as long as I don't touch it, the shinigami won't have a reason to come toward me to erase my memories. I use the toy clamp to flip the notebook to it's last page and using the knife I bought I cut out the last page. Just a single page of the Death Note is useful enough for me to accomplish a myriad of things.

I stuff that page into the backpack I just bought and leave the Death Note back in its original position. As long as I don't touch the book the death god shouldn't come towards me and that page isn't the main part of the book so Ryuk should be heading towards the book that will eventually land in Lights hands.

A single page is more than enough for me to earn some money and learn all the secrets I need about modern weaponry.

I walk out of the school without a hitch no one asked me a question as why I had a backpack with me.

Then I quietly wait for Light to come out of the school and just like the anime the book was slightly popping out of his bag.

The storys finally starting.
