3 Maharlika Prologue

Maharlika Academy, the most prestigious school of elite, built for the gifted talented and intelligent teenagers. It is located at the main continent of the country of the Philippines. The academy is considered as the country's pride because of all the achievements it has earned through history.

Legend says that the hill where the school stands was the former home of a young fairy. The fairy was a close friend of a boy, so the fairy gave the hill to the boy as a symbol of their friendship.

To prevent any unwanted visitors from trespassing, they built a thick 13ft wall around the hill. And the huge black gate below the hill is the only entrance and exit of the campus. As for the safety of the students, the school hired trustworthy men from the army as securities.

Above the hill, stands four buildings. Each building contains the same students from freshmen to seniors, the only thing that separates the students is their talent.

The first building that can be first seen once people arrive on the top of the hill is known as the Southern Building, the southern students are known as the Knuckles. Knuckles have the personality of never giving up once they enter a fight, they depend on their strength. That's why most of the sport clubs contains Knuckles.

The second building which is the Western Building, has the students called Coders. Half of all the students in this building has the grade not going below 95%, they are what you call the game masters when comes to board games and hackers when comes to computers. Normally, they are known as your typical loners and nerds.

While the Eastern Building has the students known as Charms. Just like their name, students in this building are indeed charming. But that isn't the only good thing about them. Since students from the east are trained to be professionals when it comes to singing, dancing and acting, they are highly known to succeed in the showbiz industry, which grants them a secured future.

While the last building from the north has the students... called Blanks. The northern building has the smallest numbers of students, but that only adds to how special they are. Nobody really knowns any legit information about them, and that only makes them unique. One of a kind.

All of the students has a pin with a symbol that represents their building. The Knuckles has a literal fisted knuckle to represent their strength, their theme is red. While the Coders has four corvidae birds as their symbol, since corvidae birds is a group of intelligent birds, it obviously represents their intelligence. Their color is green.

The Charms on the other side has a rose symbol, representing the most beautiful flower in the world. Their theme color is yellow. And for the last, the Blanks has the blue theme. Their symbol is a snake that is circling around in two circles, making an infinite symbol.

To enter the university, the school prepares an audition once a year where teenagers from all around the country– sometimes even around the world– can compete. The students doesn't go above the number of one thousand, so they only accept two hundred lucky teenagers to fill in the spots that the graduated students left.

Because of the limited information that the school gives out to the public, only a few people knows what really made Maharlika Academy special among the other elite schools. Thanks to the connections that the academy has, the school lived in peace and harmony from the day it was built until now.
