19 We're here!

Chapter 19

After a long trek in the morning street, they had finally reached their beloved, as it supposed to be, University once again. Zero, evermore, felt agape upon seeing the bronze walls that serves as a front, a barrier of some sort, separating the distant locations from the inner region of the school's premises. Forming a smirk behind his face, Zero once again attends his school, in a commonly fashion, where he should have supposed to be.

"According to the Director, we should look for a room that has the numbers '411', on the fourth floor. We should go upstairs or use the elevator, Zero?" Lilith shifts her gaze, throwing of a question.

"We have elevators here? Coo~l" Zero's excitement had aroused on the fact that this huge academy has their own elevator. He didn't want to constantly roam around on different floors especially from the succeeding grounds. They took a detour upon entering the main entrance of the high school building (Ventus section). Various classrooms are located, in an oddly manner, parallel from the hallway. Taking a glimpse on the windows at the entrance doors, Zero discerns numerous arm chairs, around 30 of them, aligned neatly in an orderly fashion. Likewise, a table could be seen on an elevated platform right beside a chalk board which could also be used as a background replacement for projectors that are academically used in presentations and their lessons. Apparently, school had yet to start. Both of them had expected much of any signs of students inside a classroom. Throughout their saunter, heading towards the said elevator, Zero notices a stygian figure, mindlessly sitting from classrooms to classrooms, catching up on their pace. A hooded man, having a height of a teenage kid just around Zero's, isolated in the middle, perching on the arm chair.

Still treading on the lilted hallway, Zero stops in his tracks attempting to get a closer look on this mysterious apparition.

"Hey, you see that?" Lilith turns around on the sudden halt of her companion, seemingly pointing on the window's door at the nearest classroom.

"See what?" Confused, she tries peeking on the glass.

"I think I saw a ghost" he said, raising his brow.

"We don't have time for this. Let's go" she storms off from her previous position and resumed herself from the pace she had precedently.

He gazes on the figure, still visible on his eyes, one last time before dashing over on the elevator which was already nearby.

"Let's go" she said. Zero followed Lilith tracks as they ventured forth from the antique elevator beneath their eyes.

The elevator's specifically highlights nothing from the unusual. Actually, it had cracks all over its walls. Squinting further, bits of metals which supposed to be the paint or metallic sheets which hold of the layer inside the elevator seems to fall off if someone attempts to peel on their own discretion. 'It was a one way ticket riding the elevator', he thought. Lilith takes out her wallet, scribbling unto something on her tiny compartment. Lilith's expression gave her away producing a timid sigh of relief bracing her item. She was holding a card of some sort, similar to an ATM card.

: Mage identification. Do you possess a cle?:

An automated or what people call it, an artificial intelligence robotic voice resounded inside the elevator asking an unfamiliar item in Zero's vocabulary.

"This card paper, or whatever you want to call it, serves as a key called a cle. Acknowledge mages from the Warford's academy must possess this identification card to distinguish students and to avoid spies roaming around inside the facilities." Lilith stated proudly whilst playing the card, which she just called it a cle, around her fingers.

"Not everyone has the privilege receive this cle. Applicants must reach a certain criteria and rank, based from their aptitude, upon obtaining this precious card."

"These card indicates the basic information and association of the card user. This can also be used similarly from your common ATM cards."

A familiar voice provided a reply which apparently alike listening in an enormous enclosed area. Turning around, both Zero and Lilith gape on the different atmosphere on their vicinity. Wild exotic trees extends at the far ends of the ceiling, classical pictures that gave off a romantic story behind their backgrounds, and a huge stadium to their fore.

"Greetings, President. And to you, brat. Welcome to the Council!"
