Those were the sounds created from the battlefield. Zero, unable to move since he was still carrying the girl deep in slumber on his arms, observes the skirmish front right before his eyes;

But alas, it was a fruitless effort made by the dragon. The two men began to form larger barriers across their vicinity, protecting their stance.

The shield, which has proven handful in terms of crises, shines out a beaming light directed to the dragon, leading to its befall; steadily disintegrating its silhoutte from what it had existed.

the old man walks closer to the oppugners, slowly raises his shield whereat a remarkable golden sword, which was made from combinations of quality metals appeared right in thin air.

The old man shouted. Zero covers his eyes as specs of dust and artifical sunlight illuminates the room, revealing a fine glow which lasted for an hour.

From what had been an enormous battleground turned into stone monuments that are similar to the stonehedge in England.

The two men in robes who casted different spells from before are now turned into statues, seemingly petrified. Like medusa who had found her prey, the two dragon knights approaches the effigies. The old man from the dragon knight raises his arms to confirm something which he shouldve have done sooner.

"Where is the third one?"

"Sire, we could not locate him" responded by the young knight. Within moments later a black hole began swirling in sight, unable to reveal from what was inside starts sucking the two figures of the stone warriors. As soon as the knights had reacted, they knew it was inevitably too late.

"You knights shall suffer the next time we'll meet! For now, the Dark Deception shall take its retreat. Farewell knights in armour, and to you brave kid. We shall meet again someday!"

Grasping his arm, which had turned into stone, whilst bracing their weapons, he pulled his comrades away from the ordeal and prances inside the abyss.

Blackhole remained for nearly 10 seconds before it had completely vanished in thin air, leaving no traces behind. It was a triumph and a defeat for the knight's side, but then again

We had saved a young girl from her demise.

I tightly held the girls body in my arms as my conscience gradually fades.

"Soft"... Zero felt softness beneath his fingers as he began grasping something half-awake in his slumber. Curiously, he unrelenty squeezes the soft texture following a quick breeze of pain coming from his stomach

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

It was a woman's screech from a young boy's voice.

It was unbecoming of a man to sound like a girl, but in dire crisis, he couldn't control his pain

Nor the girl's laughter beside her.

Zero, awaken from his soundly doze found himself cowers in pain. The girl, who had sensed that someone touched her chest, in reflex, punches the solid structure that is nearest in her graspd; which was Zero's abdomen.

Pitifully, Zero falls down on his bed, grasping for air. The room, that was once sank in complete silence was now filled with energy by the power of youth...

"Pervert" the girl with the purple hair uttered. She sustained injuries which could have been lethal was now being treated by the school Doctor inside the "infirmary" of the same building where the conference meeting for freshmen students had been.

The first who had woke up was the girl, sleeping comfortably, hugging Zero's front. She then turns scarlet red as she slowly tried to stood up, but upon doing so

She stared at him once more and recalled what had happened from earlier's event

"Right, the gem!" She said

"Don't move around. You just had surgery. The boy over there saved you from the 'Dark Deception'. A non-magic user". A lady with a labcoat, in her late thirties, opens the room.

"If you noticed, you're inside the infirmary treating your wounds. You need to relax and stay by his side. He might get lonely once he wakes up, unknown from what had happened" the doctor adds. She sits beside her desk near the girl and sips her warm cup of coffee while rummaging in her data sheet.

"Th-the gem?! How about the gem?" The girl asks anxiously. She tried desperately protecting the valuable item and was ready to give her life upon it.

The doctor didn't respond and began sipping her coffee once more.

"I-is that so..." with an utterly defeated look, she nonchantly let's her body rest on the soft bed beside Zero.

"But that boy saved your life. He had been carrying you for a while, saving time for sir. Jones to rescue you both. But the robed man who appears to be the leader had a trump card in his hand....which was the blackhole" the doctor gulps her coffee in one go in frustration.

"Dr.Xie. I understand. Thank you for tellimg all this" she then started to feel a little bit dozy and embraces the unknown man once more.

The doctor observing her actions, started smilin softly as she writes something on a piece of paper

"Youth."
