24 Mock Battle; The Prize of a Loser

"Let the game begin"

Zero states his mind, gripping on the guard of his sword. This is his first time wielding a blade, nonetheless in an anti-climactic event. Here he was, skirmished on a battlefield anticipating his opponent's next move. Gushing out a defeating sigh, mr. Snow advances forward between the two competitors and raises his hand commencing their mock battle.

"Begin!" a thunderous *bang* echoed through the battlefield. A pebble, produced by the director, launches through the northern sky using his magic skill "Rock bullet" as a make-shift of a starting pistol.

Zero and Lance are both staring onto each other, observing their body. It could be comparable for each of them to be called 'snakes' piercing their contrast glares.

"You know, you could always launch the first move" indeed that was the plan Zero had sought to accomplish. 'He who strikes first, wins". Then again, he was matched up no less with a veteran player. Zero stood his ground, hoping he could turn the tide around his opponent. Lance flashes a smicker in delight, dashes far forwardly to his series of moves.

His sword yet had been unsheathed, he motions his body to a hasty jump closing the gap between him and Zero. He forms his knuckles producing a fist gesture aiming towards the head of his opponent. Leaving no chances to delay, Zero unbelievingly dodges Lance's first strike, bending his body in a 45 degree manner before Lance's hand could collide on his skull.

'Warp' Zero evaluates his thoughts, making the skill to activate. He flashes behind Lance, unseen, swinging his sword to inflict a certain amount of damage. Zero's menu provides different information about his surroundings and one of them are displaying the health and mana pool of a person using his analysing passive-skill.

Lance currently has 250/300 health and 500/500 mana on his status bar. 'How is he losing health?' Zero asks himself but eventually shrugs the insignificant question. Despite Zero smiting a unforeseen attack, Lance surprisingly unsheathes and parries his claymore sword against Zero's darundal.

*clang* two metallic blades clashes against each other which resounds across the area. It was the most and epic sword battle the audience had seen. Zero, who was a total stranger upon the eyes greatest organisation, is on par with their leader 'Lance Nevermore'.

Using their opposing force, Zero utilises the spare time creating his distance once again between them. The skill, which was called 'lueur', consumed most of his remaining mana.

Health 90/100 + 2 healing per 30 minutes

Mana 40/130 + 2 restoring per 30 minutes

He had used 90 mana within his body. He could only activate this skill once. Furthermore, his mana shield should continuously be activated upon a life threatening scenarios which has been also draining his mana uptake, but levels up during these procedure. Although, his luck had ran out, he could only rely to the basic element skills that consumes 10 mana each cast.

He needs to manoeuvre his course of actions just so prolonging the battle. On the other hand, Lance is standing tall gripping his claymore, processing how did a mere student conducted a weird and unique skill during their clash.

Lance's Point of View********

'Phew, never I expect that kid to just… teleport himself behind me. If I was my old self, I could have not dodged his attacks and just recklessly took it without prior's notice. Did he recently been introduced to be a mage or…' I'm starting to have my doubts, arguing with myself in the midst of the danger lying before me. A speed which I, myself, couldn't catch on.

Being a leader is such a drag. He had passed my assessment with such high regards and yet… he has been keeping up with me. For what cause? I should ask him that later. Right now, I could somehow grasp that that wasn't his best skill so far…

Is he somewhat tired?

Zero has been panting hectically after that horrifying skill. May be his mana was greatly consumed during the process. I don't mind losing this match. My pride may be on trampled by mere strangers down the streets but having an apprentice with such potentials couldn't detain my excitement.

"Yosh! You win, kiddo. You passed"

Sheathing my claymore once again. When was the last time that I was forced to wield this sword?
