9 Ingress

The group are now venturing inside the ingress of the labyrinth which ironically found by Zero.

"There are three passageways at the end of the tunnel; one of which will lead us to the right trail. These extra paths are used to confuse trespassers who aren't welcome, students and strangers, be it as may to enter the labyrnith"

The director gave Zero a cold glare, puzzled, on the reason which I accidentally set upon this mysterious domain.

"For introduction purposes, this labyrinth was made long before the Pangaea had escalated. Miraculously found by the first founder of Warford's academy. The previous director, Sir. Arthur, told me that this labyrinth was endless and had yet been fully explored. These might be clues for the betterment of the world" ending his speech.

"What betterment are you speaking off?" Zero asks as we headed towards the right most area from the three tunnels.

"Creatures, goblins, werewolves, and the like origins from this place. This labyrinth serves as the nesting ground of theese creatures found elsewhere. Much so as the kraken which are labyrinths found in the deepest oceans" giving Zero a serious look indicating that this topic is an important matter.

"That's why battle mages are dispatched coming from this school and kept hidden from public?" Zero inquires. "Wouldn't it better to just claim it on public that we, this university, are helping them?"

"I believe so, but the truth is, several organisation will target or use the academy for selfish gains. With those in mind, the directors held a notion that our activities must be kept hidden, asides from big shots inside the government" mr. Snow exclaimed as he too was surprised on the sudden questions thrown by the kid.

"That reminds me, Zero. Were you not scared from the fact that dragons exists? When I was in your place, I got so scared and frighten. Especially this rotten professors nit-picks me, stricter every training."

As Lilith hopped merrily from behind, leaning closer to Zero's right shoulder, waiting for an answer. He couldn't decide where to look on, with those "assets" in front are humbly bouncing like jellies making every men thanking a divine entity from elsewhere.

Zero filters his thoughts as he answers her question.

"When I was a kid my mum brought me tons of books to read with. History, science, general academics, everything. I usually read in my spare time but what had actually piqued my interest was this novel, a world with magic and mythical creatures; dragons included. Demise turned into excitement, upon seeing one of those." Zero stated, making a small grin which was obviously visible on his face.

As they continued conversing in some idle topics, Zero notices the changes in his surroundings. The walls became greener and wild vines entangles the light source, which are torches, consequently placed every few blocks away, providing adequate light source along the way. The walls turned into cave-like stones and the marble floor turned into soil, drenched with water dripping on the ceiling. Deeply in their journey, they stumbled a wall which Zero thought it was a dead end.

Upon seeing the wall, which was blocking the path in front of them, Director Snow opens his palms and began chanting. Light particles slowly forms alongside the air, twirling through his fingertips , shifting colours from green to blue, indicating that something was about to happen. As he raises his palm, the ground began to shake frivolously. Zero, with a confusing stare, analyses the situation and looks around. Finding the girl, Lilith, being unfazed from the event made his safety guaranteed, expecting for something that mr. Snow had prepared. With the sudden occurrence, the light travels towards the wall, generating a weak magnitude. Slowly yet magically, the wall started to move, opening similarly to a door, leading inside a different path.
