30 First Practical Exam (2)

These astronomical lights entangles on the starry night, robbing the eyes of the two students gaping in awe. Whoever took sight from the breath-taking scenery could only leave speechless admiring its beauty. As so, they did what should be done, standing tall, frozen, on the flickering luminescence. Captive from their behold, the both of them could only stand tall, paralyzed, unaware from what was happening within their vicinity. After all, the 'trap', which they usually call it, was placed by a mysterious weirdo professor who wanted to 'test' the potentials of his new mage students. Apart from the regular classes allotted from these battle mages, they must also comply attending various courses that could enhance their understanding in terms of magic, hence, attending this unpredictable first subject with a disturbing teacher.

Wondering these questions: why, how and what from their situation wouldn't help a thing, instead they ought to formulate a plan, whilst studying the presence of the magical matter. Zero finds Lilith at the far end of the glimmering lights. No visible wounds nor trauma can be observed in Lilith skin, however her face and appearance seems to be quite distorted on his perceptions. Likewise, Lilith gazes towards Zero and sees the same thing, bending the figure of his face.

"Zero? Where are we?" She asks, shifting her gaze from all sorts of directions, allowing her senses to register the ominous feeling.

Zero gives her a shook and inspects every inch of his body, starting from his wavy like hands. It was quite fortunate enough, being able to feel tangible objects despite their stellar state. It could probably turn worse, being a slime or a spiritual being with nothing to hold on to. Quite the time had passed and they have no means to tell the time. The only progress they could only measure was from a form of counting their tiresome event, waiting to be rescued. After moments of sitting still doing nothing, still glued on the repetitive hues, Zero snaps, having enough, and started formulating his plan.

Since they couldn't pin point their location, they could hardly guess that their site is a well-formed magic barrier which enclosed with illusionary magic. Before entrapping themselves from pursuing their professor, Zero had felt a tiny surge of magic particles combing at a certain point, maximising their output, forming a somewhat dome, just around their section. It was so thick and concentrated, realising the compression of magic granules hold effectively stronger effects on the magician's spells. Realising its stand point and theory, Zero generates an artificial light bulb overhead, signifying his new course of action. He plans on transmuting the dense particles and deforms it using his own mana concentration. Although he wasn't quite sure accepting his theory, it was worth a shot considering their present circumstances.

Placing his misshaped palm, he began desperately absorbing, aligning, and deforming in consecutive repetitions, disrupting its configurations. He then concentrates on the pattern and prayed for a fortunate result. As though his prayers had been heard, the magicules steadily dissolves, weakening the chamber that bridges the formation of bonds inside its barrier.

Lilith, still confused on the matter, asks Zero if there are any useful things she can provide support with. He just smirk happily beneath his tiring face and softly murmurs "It's gonna be alright. I got this". Truth be told, he was quite cool on the eyes of many upon stating this in public; hoping it had touched Lilith's heart too. Brushing off his reverie, Zero resumes gathering his mana to a single point, slowly spreading the branches of disposition mana all over the structure of the barrier. Within approximately 5 minutes of repetitive sequence, both of them caught glimpse of the natural light far above, overhead, from their distance. Eventually, the hole leisurely got wider, allowing more light to pass through the colourful hues between the space and the realist world.

*Crack* followed by a loud shattering noise came through, bursting out from their perspective, allowing their eyes to register onto their familiar appearance and view of their own regime. They found themselves standing at the position where they had departed just before entering the wild, different scenery. Their professor, whom they were stalki…catching up with was casually leaning on the hallways wall, expecting our return.

"YOUUU" in sync, throwing sharp pointed daggers from their eyes which had boiled up in anger from the depths of their brightest cage. If getting glared at could get someone killed, anyone could wonder for how many lives did sir Snakes had lost from these two students' peering eyes.

"Congratulations passing my exam!" professor Snake exclaims….
