2 Assimilation

Lena is a teacher in the academy. She teaches the basics about magic. She is middle aged woman. Her figure is mature and attractive.

Today was any other day for her. Untill one of her students screamed during one of her classes.

She remembers about her student. Richard is a peculiar case in her class.

He had suffered a tragedy in the past. And after that incident he had changed a lot.

Before the incident he used to be the smartest of them. Full of energy. Always causing some mischiefs here and there.

But after the incident, it is like he has lost his interest.

Now all he does is wasting his time. Making no effort in anything.

His peers of his age has long since progressed further in the academy.

But Richard is still at the same level as he was in the past.

All his teachers feel sad for him. And so does Lena.

Today when he started screaming abruptly, Lena thought that something from his past has come again to make him suffer.

After Lena casted a spell, although Richard stopped screaming he had still fainted. So, Lena didn't know about what happened to him.

She took him to the healer. There she found from the healer that something happened with his soul.

His soul is now stronger. And pain was due to the intense activity in his brain.

And his present condition is stable. There is nothing strange with him now.

With some time he will wake up soon.

And exactly what happened? That will be known after he wakes up.

Although it has something to do with his soul and brain acting with each other.

Lena was relieved after hearing from the healer.

Healer was not astonished. Although the soul strength of Richard has increased. It wasn't that abnormal.

Healer's theory was that it was a sudden burst of the magic stored in Richard due to his lack of magic practice in recent years.

All the magic which was generating in his body with age was getting accumulated since he wasn't using much.

And today something happened. The magic interacted somehow with his soul. And the final result was the strengthening of his soul.

As the change was sudden it generated quite load for the brain to assimilate with the new soul power.

Hence, the pain and the screaming.

After waking up in this body, Richard had just taken in his surroundings and appreciated the beauty speaking in the front of the class.

When he realized that he can't understand a thing which the lady was saying. He tried to understand and that's when his soul started assimilating with this body, especially the brain and the memories.

So, it was the sudden assimilation of so many memories that made his brain hurt.

Pain was sudden and intense. Richard couldn't stop screaming.

He was lucky that Lena casted the spell at that time otherwise he might have suffered some damage.

Although he didn't know what Lena did, but he knew that the pain was no more. So, he felt happy and smiled.

Just as he was about to thank the beauty, he fainted.

Then Lena took him to healer.

With a wave of her hand Richard was floating in the air. She took few steps and she was out of view of the students along with Richard.

She moved fast as a single step of her was making her travel quite the distance.

After waking up again, Richard realized that he really is in another world as promised to him.

'Seems like I did not gamble with the wrong person..... or was that a God? .... maybe someone powerful enough even if 'he' wasn't the God '

Richard was now aware that he was currently studying in the magic academy. And when he arrived he was in the middle of the class.

And that teacher's name is Lena.

He also understands the language now.

He also remembers all the memories of the previous owner of this body.

" So you are awake, care to tell me what happened " interrupted the healer.

Richard looked at his side and saw a tall man. He looks like a body builder with a lot of strong muscles.

Lena was not there as she had to take her other classes.

He remembered that this person is one of the healers in the academy. His name is Casper.

'Casper is quite a polite person. Probably that's why he took healing as his profession ' thought Richard.

" I don't remember much actually" replied Richard. While thinking to himself ' except that I arrived in this body and assimilated the memories'.

Casper looked at the boy. Then he performed a check up.

" You are fit to go although I suggest you have some more rest before going. Your soul strength has increased. And if you remember something about what happened, do tell me." Casper advised him.

" Don't mind me if I do" said Richard and laid back on the bed.

Casper looked at Richard and opened his mouth to say something "...." but in the end didn't say it.

Then he turned and busied himself in other things.

Richard noticed that Casper wanted to say something but didn't in the end.

' I think I should talk less untill I am familiar with this body and this world. So let's get back to analysing the memories.'

Then Richard closed his eyes and focused in his mind. Casper didn't pay him anymore attention.
