The Dying God's Requiem
Within the limitless boundaries of the Beyond, the space was ever so silent and ever so dark. The pitch-black space of seemingly nothingness flowed without any care of consequences or punishment. It drifted towards what seemed to be unreality, and as it passed, the so-called unreality suddenly gave life to the reality of an empty pitch-black space.
Following said drifting space, an entity with a lofty bearing that radiates the feeling of overwhelming pressure and calmness flows serenely with the invisible currents of the dark space.
However, its actions are ever so sluggish and wavery as if it could no longer bear its current circumstance and slowly submit to the pleasant and hospitable end. Yet despite being offered a path to end, the entity persisted.
However, the entity knew of its coming end for it had been active before the creation of time and thus before the creation of the end; It was here for far too long and now, time had caught up to him.
Soon the entity halted, leaving the glutinous space to absorb further and further into infinity. And with its dying action, the entity poured every single ounce of its ability to tear the empty space of this reality. Having torn a hole in this reality, the entity swiftly formed a towering white door filled with many mysterious black patterns of profound elegance in replacement of the torn space.
The additional torn area of the space quickly healed as flurrying black spacial particles flooded the torn areas and surrounded the towering door.
Then with what seemed like a light push with the entity's remaining strength, the towering door rumbled and opened an insignificant gap revealing many lights that pierced into the sea of dark. Upon seeing the light shine bright with vigor, the entity's gentle figure finally relaxed and willingly closed its enormous consciousness.
"This is my last requiem, a gift for those of the beyond and those of the other world.".
With that, the entity's body remained motionless in the realm of everlasting silence before a barely opened door.

In the harsh winter of the year 900, an enormous door, with its height reaching the heavens and its thickness being much larger than a giant's height, suddenly appeared on the outskirts of the city of "Yorkshire".
The door had appeared so silently that if not for its pristine surface and godly radiance, it would have seemed as if it was naturally there from the beginning.
Yet, despite the door's towering proportions, the winter blizzard that engulfed the city of Yorkshire obscured its grand status.
However, its grandeur and mystical status couldn't be contained forever. Once the blizzard clouds dissipated, the whole city of Yorkshire entered a state of shock once they heard the news of a towering door within the distant outskirts.
Mercenaries and even citizens alike quickly rushed toward the direction of the enormous door driven by both their curiosity and hopes of finding opportunities. Yet, those who dreamt of riches were disappointed to just find an enormous door with many mysterious carvings towering over them.
Soon the news reached the "York Kingdom", thus prompting many squadrons of scouts to be issued by the king of this region to investigate the door.

"The Door", as it was called by the people of this world actually consisted of two doors. And on these two doors are black lustrous carvings of arcane patterns that exude a feeling of immense elegance and profoundness.
Continuing on past the two enormous doors is a small gap enough to fit armies despite its insignificant size when compared to The Door.
This gap would constantly emit fog that surrounds the door, and drown its surroundings with a hazy mist that would disappear over time and be replaced with the new fog. In spite of this weird phenomenon, the feature of The Door that evoked the most curiosity was still the gap and the contents beyond it.
Many experiments were conducted by the kingdom of York, where slaves were sent into the gap of The Door. However, none of the slaves that went in ever came back. Thus, the kingdom's experimenters tied the slaves with large thick ropes in hopes of pulling them back. Unfortunately, when they pulled the ropes back, they only discovered the clothing of the slave and the slave was nowhere to be seen.
After exhausting all their efforts, the Kingdom finally issued an end to these experiments.
Thus, the door remained silent for decades to come.
Until one fateful summer night in the year 960.
The guards stationed around The Door heard torrents of heavy footsteps coming from within the gap of The Door. The guards immediately sent back a messenger to inform the king, and thus the king hastily gathered his royal guards to follow.
And as the King had expected, the newcomers held no friendly intentions. His entire guardian squadron, which was intended to guard The Door, was massacred, with limbs and organs littered over the battlefield.
The site of destruction instilled an extremely bad premonition upon both the king and his royal guards. They were all frozen in fear and can only watch the blood-filled battlefield.
This entourage consisting of 20 royal guards and the king immediately snapped out of their frightened trance once they heard thundering footsteps coming their way.
Looking into the distance, 10 giant-like figures with humanoid bodies ran towards the king's entourage like they were gliding in the air. Once these humanoid figures got closer, they seemed even more monstrous as they possess huge arms and long black feathers covering their entire bodies. And instead of having a human face, these humanoid creatures possessed a face of an owl.
The leading humanoid owl came crashing toward one of the royal guards, crushing the horse while the royal guard luckily tumbled onto the ground. The humanoid owl hooted in excitement and sank its beak into the flesh of the horse, devouring its meal.
Taking advantage of the humanoid owl's distraction, the royal guard issued the king to retreat immediately and cautiously approached the kneeling humanoid owl. Once the royal guard was within range of attack, he skillfully swung his blade at the neck of the humanoid owl. The blade penetrated through the humanoid owl's neck and cut many of its arteries. However, to the royal guard's surprise, even with his long sword weighing about 5 pounds and his use of full strength, he couldn't decapitate the humanoid owl.
The humanoid owl screeched in pain and it flung its large hands at the royal guard. The royal guard was flung meters away with his armor bent and limbs broken.
The humanoid owl on the other hand collapsed onto the horse's mangled corpse.
Upon seeing one of its comrades falling into the hands of an ant, the humanoid owls hooted in rage and took turns bashing the crippled royal guard until he was but a mere heap of flesh.
With this additional distraction, the king and his entourage managed to escape. They fled into the city of Yorkshire and immediately called for the fortification of all cities surrounding The Door.
They were prepared for war.
And war was what they got.
Swarms of humanoid owls came out of The Door following their 10 scouts.

With the aid of other human kingdoms and empires, the humans successfully defended the "Owlian's" barrage of attacks. (Having seen the intelligence of the humanoid owls and their coordinated attacks, the humans decided it would be best to refrain from characterizing them as monsters. Thus they started calling them Owlians.)
However, soon the humans would realize that The Door isn't only connected to the world of Owlians but to other creatures alike.
Many creatures of different shapes and sizes arrived through the door, prompting constant war over control of this new world.
With so many different creatures coming out of The Door, Humans decided to put all of them in a single category: Beyondians.
Over time, the Beyondians, and humans decided it was best to co-exist. This started the creation of a government system between humans and many other races of the beyond.
With "peace" at hand, the cities around The Door grew exponentially and encompassed the enormous supercontinent.
