3 03: Shooting Star!

When Byron woke up, he found that the pain he had simply disappeared. His 5 years old body was now completely healthy and painless! Byron was happy to not feel the pain that he jumped! He did not notice that when he jumped, the ground broke with the strength he used to jump and also he jumped above 10 meters height! Byron landed with his head on the ground, but he didn't feel pain, he did feel nothing at all... His bones, muscles, and nerves were stronger than ever! He is also extremely flexible, he can move his body like a contortionist with easy... Byron noticed that everything around his was very bright, but when he looked at the sky, he saw the blue sky but with several stars and the moon... So he concluded that it was night time now.

"So basically I can fly, shot destruction laser with my eyes, see far away, I have super strength, flexibility, reflexes... probably, and I can use magic. I must be very OP." Not only Byron simply fell in love when he looked up, he saw several stars in the sky... It was so beautiful! Byron thought that he really wanted to fly around the sky and from his back, a pair of black bat-like wings spread out together with a pair of red horns in the forehead and a black bull tail in his back. "I will never get used to it..." said Byron while stretching his wings, touching them with delight as he felt the tingling sensation in his body, he smiled and tried to fly. It felt extremely natural to him! He flapped his wings in the night sky while flying around, he could see the beautiful sky like it so near him that he could catch a star with his fingers.

"This is so beautiful..." muttered Byron while looking up, finally he looked down and saw a city. It had several bright lights, both sky and ground had stars... Byron felt very good, he had enough flying for today so he went down on the ground... Or tried. He crashed in the forest, destroying several trees and rocks. Byron sighed and opened the system screen to see what he could do... He had got the achievements of first use of all his runes... He had 7 runes, each runes first-time achievement gives you 5 MSP points... So he has now 35 MSP's. "What kind of runes can I get..." pondered Byron while searching in the system screen. He was in the [Elemental? category, strangely enough, there had [Illusion] as an element too... Byron pondered on what runes he wanted and choose two that cost him 10 MSP each. Both form [Utility] category.

Let's show Byron's runes: [Fire Rune], [Water Rune], [Earth Rune], [Wind Rune], [Void Rune], [Blade Rune], [Strengthen Rune], and now [Spin Rune] and [Shield Rune]! Those runes are both very useful, [Spin Rune] can be used like that: You fuse both [Water Rune] and [Spin Rune], making a spinning water sphere, or you can use [Wind Rune] and [Blade Rune] to create several wind blades and use the [Spin Rune] to make them all spin around themselves, making a wind blade hurricane! And there are a lot more uses. Byron started to train himself, he had to master his runes. First, he would master the four elements and become the Ava- I mean, become a [Intermediate] rank. He needs at least four runes mastered to become a [Intermediate] rank, the system said so. Anyway, Byron still doesn't know what year is it now, maybe he can now if he goes to town... But there's actually a problem with it too... His clothes were damaged by his fall, destroying them.

"I wish there was a rune that could help me with it..." said Byron while holding a stick in hand, from the stick a blue pale light was shining and with the stick Byron started to write the ground with [Earth Rune], from the ground several pebbles started to float. This was a new rune that Byron had [Float Rune], it was a weaker version of the [Gravity Push Rune] + [Reverse Rune] = [Anti Gravity Rune]... Sometimes Byron had to fuse runes to create new ones or even unlock new ones! Its been a week since Byron landed near the city, he had been focused on mastering the four runes now, however, he is trying to do something to breakthrough! An array. An array is a conjunct of runes that can be activated by words or gestures, but almost all the time they stay inactive. Byron was writing the runes on the earth while saying to himself: "Here... And one here, maybe I should put an [Alarm Rune] here or an [Barrier Rune] here?"

Byron got more runes each time he mastered a rune, so he just goes on and on mastering runes after runes! It's been only one week, but because Byron doesn't need to sleep, eat, or drink he can do it literally all day. Let's take a look at his [Status]:

All the runes are simple to use. {Rine Singer} and {Array Maker} are two traits of the [Intermediate Magic Runer]. First is pretty simple, just by saying the name of the runes and thinking about the process you want them to do, you can use them exactly as you drew them! {Array Maker} is simpler to explain than the {Rune Singer}, it just makes you draw arrays with perfection and you can add some special conditions and features. That's it. After Byron finished drawing the runes on the ground, the runes started to shine with their respective elemental light: Red for fire, blue for water, light blue for [Utilities] runes, brown for earth runes, and light green for wind rune! Byron made a barrier utilizing the four basic elements [Fire], [Water], [Earth], and [Wind] so when the array is activated by a condition: [Not registered person enter the array] the array will create mist using [Fire] and [Water] runes, will create random holes in the ground with [Earth] rune and will make random echoing noises with [Wind] and [Sound] runes!

"Should I unlock the [Contract Rune] or should I stack points to unlock another special rune?" asked Byron to himself, it's been only a week but he made huge progress! He is so happy now that he is planning to create a base for himself in this forest! Make some arrays with [Barrier Runes] together with [Deflect Rune] and [Repel Rune] to repel humans and deflect attacks. That's a great idea! After some hours thinking about what rune he wanted now, Byron finally noticed one thing. He was naked... He doesn't feel cold or heat, he doesn't need to eat, sleep, or drink water he can just stand up forever, he just needs to breathe and he doesn't even need air to breathe! "Hum... I guess I need some clothes. Should I go to the city?" asked Byron while looking at the sky. "I guess i should go. What could go wrong?"
