22 The Monstrous Bear

While returning to his camp Adrian had an idea, knowing that he could not place a trap on the inside of the cave where the bear was, he had to draw him outside and he thought about the scratch mark left by the bear that he had killed earlier, his idea was to create a false claw mark on a tree in front of the cellar and leave particles of energy on the tree so that the bear can see them from the inside from the cellar knowing that the mutated beast had the vision permanently activated.

Surely enraged by the intrusion into his territory he would again mark his territory over the mark which Adrian would place and he would just have to place traps around the tree.

Now what rune to use to restrain his movement ?

Something unexpected was needed, although the bear is at the assimilation stage, he must manipulate the earth particles inside of his body to be able to protect himself.

Adrian decided to use the runes "Valkris and Sar", "Valkris" for spear and "Sar" for earth, he intends to restrain these movements by piercing his paws and let him exhaust his particles accumulate in his body to heal his wounds and during this time Adrian will bombard him with enchanted arrows.

After a well deserved rest Adrian set up his plan by placing the rune activable to the voice, on the wet floor of the forest were two runes camouflaged by leaves, Adrian began scraching the surface of the tree with his knife.

The silence of the forest was interrupted by a huge roar coming from the cave, Adrian did not turn around and he hurried to climb to the tree on which he was creating a false scratch.

He prepared his bow, now that the bear had seen him he had no choice but to fight, he observed the monster he had provoked, a bear at least 5 meters long and heavy at least 600 kilos a fur as black as the night, eyes as black as his fur with a slight green glow.

Seeing his enemies the breath of Adrian accelerated, but knowing that his trap was installed he was reassured.

During this time the bear ran towards the tree where Adrian was perched, once arriving near the runes Adrian shouted "Sar-Valkris!".

Almost instantaneously spears formed of earth came out about 30 centimeters from the ground and pierced the front legs of the bear making it tilt forward with all his weight, his fall was stopped by the tree.

Now that the bear was down Adrian continued saying "Feln-Trae" while shooting an arrow into the belly of the bear, the arrow lodged in the bear creating a bleeding wound but Adrian did not stop the and continued he fired 3 arrows in total, one in the direction of the head was stopped by a kind of rock armor created by the bear to protect himself and the last one reached again the belly of the bear.

The bear screamed in pain after receiving two enchanted arrows but none touched a vital point, the scream caught Adrian by surprise but he pulled himself together but this moment of surprise gave the bear time to get back on his feet .

However, the bear was staggering because of the wounds inflicted by the stone spears, which gave Adrian time to throw two stones at the bear.

The bear did not take the tiny stone seriously compared to its size and decided to ignore them, just when he looked Adrian again, the stone hit him and a flame the size of his head came out and inflamed the black fur of the bear.
