41 Just do it

Once the sun was beginning torches were lit and then Izzy finally heard her name be called. She gulped.

" System… can I use my power?" she whispered.

She stared at the back box in her hand [ No. The system would advise that the host avoid any form of conflict].

Izzy sat in her chair, unmoving.

" Hey, Theo c-can you help me win this fight?" Izzy whispered. Weigela was sitting right next to her, so she had to be quiet.

' You want me to help? Why can't you just do it yourself?'

" Ugh, aren't you supposed to protect me… your master…"

" Hey Izzy, are you okay?" Weigela looked at her concerned. She was hunched over muttering something and Weigela thought that Izzy was perhaps nervous about fighting.

" Ah ah ah, I'm okay" she fake smiled and Weigela's green eyes stared her down.

Izzy flinched, " I can fight in your stead," she said. Izzy's looked at her, " You would do that?" her large hopeful expression told Weigela that she was right. Izzy didn't want to fight and as much as Weigela wanted to see her in action, she also wanted to practice her abilities.

" Yes. It is allowed."

" But I can't burden you." Izzy said, " I should also try to fight-"

[ Caution, if the host is insistent on fighting. The host's recovery rate will be extended and may even land up seriously injured].

" Come on Theo, help me out…"

Izzy placed her hand beside her mouth and Weigela tilted her head, in confusion.

' Uggghh fine. I must be the most unlucky fairy in the word to have a master like you'.

Izzy smiled and stood up.

" It's okay, I'll do it".

Weigela watched her walk off talking to herself and thought that Izzy was putting up a brave front.

Izzy nervously went up onto the stage and regretted it. She was put up against a green-ranked student. A girl with low pigtails.

This was Izzy's first real battle and she was practically about to turn tail and run. The girl with the pigtails had such an intense expression on her face. Almost as if she could not wait to trample Izzy under her shoe.

" Begin!"

The match started and Izzy who had no idea what to do froze.

" Oh man! What do I do!?"

" Ehehehehehe!" the girl laughed and Izzy felt a strong heat approaching her face. She squeaked and ducked.

The fireball that was heading straight for her face stopped mid-air and was snuffed out.

' Geez, could you at least act like you're the one casting. You're making me look bad".

Izzy cleared her throat remembering that she to pretend to cast magic.

" Oh yeah, sorry my bad".

She stood up and could feel the annoyance radiating off of Theonymphi.

"Oho, so you do have some ability". The girl smiled.

She then began casting more fireballs similar to the ones Izzy saw Mitch cast.
