2 "I am..."

Izzy clearly remembered it being winter but the weather seemed to have suddenly transitioned into summer. She was confused, then she heard a buzzing sound coming from where she had laid under the tree, Izzy walked towards the buzzing and lying in the grass was her phone.

She swiped it up from the ground ready to call for help until she looked at her phone it seemed different.

The sleek black outline had a glow and her previously cracked screen had now repaired itself.

Izzy opened the phone up with her thumbprint and then a purple light flashed on the screen.

and a female voice said-[User detected].

" What the heck?" Izzy said, her phone had never done this before.

"Siri, is that you?" Izzy asked hesitantly.

The phone was silent and Izzy shook her head she tapped the phone, but the screen was black.

"Ah please don't be broken!" Izzy tapped vigorously at the screen trying to get it to respond.

"Phone please work", she said then Izzy heard the female's voice again.

The words were written down in white on the screen, Izzy inspected all of the information she had no idea what was going on, but it seemed like her phone was glitching out.

" Ah Siri, call Mom" Izzy muttered to the phone, it was silent and Izzy started at the screen, then the phone spoke.

[ I am not Siri]

The voice was clear and did not sound as mechanical as Siri's, " Then who are you?" Izzy responded she couldn't explain the feeling she had in this situation interacting with her phone.

[ I am ….] the voice trailed off [ I am the system] it said.

Izzy frowned " The system, what system?"

[The system designed for Isabella Han]

" Designed for me?" Izzy whispered there were so many questions in her head, but her main question was where was she.

" System where am I ?" Izzy said, the phone went silent and the screen blackened. Thinking that the phone could not tell her where she was Izzy sighed, the situation was simply ludicrous, she was in the middle of nowhere conversing with her phone.

[You are not situated anywhere on the maps that I know. However, the data suggests we are in a dense forest] the system responded, the screen then lit up with a map and an arrow.

Izzy was surprised she stared at the box like piece of technology in her hand.

Despite the phone not being able to find out where she was Izzy felt that this system actually understood her.

Not on a simple level, but on a level that indicated some sort of awareness.

"Not on any maps?" Izzy pursed her lips, she assumed that she at least was near home but the phone suggested otherwise. "Are you sure?" she asked.

[Yes] the system responded.

"Wait," Izzy thought "System can you tell me how I got here?".

There was silence and then the system responded.

[ Inter-dimensional travel occurred when you came in contact with an otherworldly being. The disturbance caused a rift in space sucking you into another world -]

"Another world!" Izzy shouted "What the hell! This can't be true".

Izzy was pacing back and forth, her mind in chaos she remembered seeing a bright light after her house had been broken into and then she was here.

"Damn" Izzy swore, she recalled the naked man and the blue light freezing and the black figure in her house, That man was from another world Izzy thought if this is all true, I'm not on Earth!

Izzy held up the phone in her hand "I'm not on Earth am I?"

[Yes] the response was immediate crushing Izzy's hope that this was a prank, looking around everything seemed very real and there was no indication that this was a dream.

"Can I go home?"

[There is no relevant information suggesting how to 'get home'] the system replied.

Izzy desperately wanted to believe this was not real, she felt incredibly overwhelmed, and all she had on her mind was questions.

"System, can you lead me out of the forest?"

[ I do not have sufficient information on the surroundings], those words caused Izzy to have the urge to throw the phone on the ground, it seemed her only option was to wander into the forest until she found a way out.

"System can you contact my parents ?"

[ That is not possible], the answer was as Izzy expected, seeing that she had no options left she steeled herself and made her mind up.

"If this is a dream when I'll wake up somehow. So I have nothing to lose" she said trying to reassure herself.

Izzy shoved the phone into her pocket and walked into the trees.

Behind her, the large tree glowed faintly returning to its original colour once Izzy's figure disappeared.

She walked into the forest surrounded by trees Izzy heard all sorts of sounds, some she recognised as birds and some crickets.

Her feet created against the branches and leaves, Izzy walked having no real direction but one thing she knew was that she needed to find a water source.

Finding a river or stream could lead her out of the forest or to other people. Izzy listened for any signs of water, as she walked in the direction she assumed was north.

The air was warm and light, Izzy felt that breathing was much easier and felt that her walking speed was much faster than normal.

After a while it the sun seemed to be setting and the sky was filled with a brilliant purple and orange colour, Izzy had seen such colours before, but never so intense and never had the colours dyed the entire sky.

The original blue hue of the sky was coated with purple and orange, it was a beautiful sight and Izzy was dazzled by it, but she also felt nervous.

She was in the forest alone, with no supplies and it was getting dark, her body didn't feel tired, but Izzy knew that if she didn't find something to eat or water she could die.

Her unease grew once the sky darkened, the orange and purple tone gradually transitioned into a dark blue. Izzy stopped, the only thing she had seen the entire day was trees and nothing else, her face scrunched up as she almost felt like crying.

"System is there any safe place to rest for the night?" Izzy had only spoken to the system twice through her journey and each time it would respond with [ Insufficient Data], which only made her annoyed so she ignored it for the rest of her journey.
