Trick 101: A lesson with Professor Ace!

He finally opened his eyes and smiled, "Cool!" It was sort of like a video game experience! No wonder the people who experienced it before couldn't describe it. It was more knowledge than anything else, but he learned a bunch of dragon related spells!

He turned his palm and a little flaming dragon appeared on top of it, flying in between his fingers. He closed his hand and turned to Hogwarts, pulling out the cup.

Fawkes chirped and Ace rubbed his head, smiling "I know, buddy. We don't need it anymore." He held it with a cloth and took out a vial. There was green liquid in the vial and Ace put the Horcrux on the ground, dropping several drops of the green liquid on the Horcrux, frowning as it made shrill sounds, hurting his ears.

He closed an eye but confirmed his thoughts, Basilisk Venom was indeed useful. Good thing he didn't use it before, unfortunately he only had a few teeth, but there was more than enough venom for 3 more Horcruxes.

After all, it was only a few drops that were needed! Unfortunately, however, it seemed like he was going to have to use all of it…

Ace sighed and looked at the melting Cup, rubbing Fawkes head, "1 down, 3 to go." Fawkes chirped and flapped his little wings as Ace smiled gently, "Let's go." as he started walking to Hogwarts.

A while later

Ace was walking around Hogwarts in his cat form, sneaking from corner to corner, looking everywhere for that damn Horcrux.

Time continued passing

Ace didn't find it.

An entire month passed!

Ace had been sneaking around the Castle for a month, checking top to bottom. He kept sensing it but never finding it, it was driving him crazy!

Currently, he was sitting in his cat form, looking at his phone.

Tony had texted him: 'Hey wizard man. We're destroying Hydra bases, they took Loki's Scepter, you in or out?'

Ace tilted his head and tapped on the screen: 'A bit busy at the moment. Fighting evil wizards.'

Tony replied quickly: '????? There's evil wizards now?'

Ace: 'Good wizards exist, obviously there's evil ones.'

Tony: '... Okay, well anyway! If you wanna come join, we're gonna be traveling the world, stopping to do some shows, you know boy band stuff.'

Ace: 'I see. Selling any merch?'

Tony: 'That's funny. When I find the Scepter, guess who's not touching it? Surprise! It's you, no scepter for you.'

Ace: 'Eye roll emoji.'

Tony: '?? Did you just type out 'eye roll emoji' to me? Do I need to confiscate your wand, young man?'

Ace: 'Let me know if you find the Scepter… or anything interesting. Have to stop evil wizards from taking over the world, see ya.'

Tony: 'Eye roll emoji! Tell them to get in line, honestly…'

Ace put the phone away and Fawkes was sitting on his head, chirping in confusion. Ace sighed and said "I don't know either, buddy. He's a strange one… Now where is that damn Horcrux!? There's only one place and- Oh! I'm a fucking idiot."

As he leapt out, running down the hall.

Fawkes sat on Ace's back, gripping with his talons as he bobbed up and down as though he was riding a horse!

Ace came to a wall and looked at it silently.

Slowly, the outline of a door appeared before the entire door appeared and opened, revealing the Room of Requirement!

Ace flicked his tail as Fawkes climbed to his head, wiping his head with his wing, cooing. Ace rolled his eyes and walked into the Room of Requirement, looking around as the door closed behind him.

He spoke out loud as a cat, it was very strange, "Can you see anything, Fawkes?" Fawkes looked around and chirped. Ace muttered "It was rhetorical…" as he walked around, sensing for the Horcrux.

As he walked around, he saw many things!

There were rare plants, creatures, and even artifacts in here!

It was incredible!

He passed towers of bits and bobs, even some restricted books that weren't in the library!

His eyes sparkled and he put the books in his bag, deciding to take a bit more time finding the Horcrux as he searched the entire Room of Requirement for any rare books he might've missed.

He had finished all the books in the Ministry, any new knowledge was either luckily found or not in the wizarding world anymore.

A few days passed just like that

Until finally!

Ace leapt onto a table, sliding a pile of curtain tassels out of the way, revealing a box.

He sat up and opened the box saying "This is it, Fawkes!" Fawkes chirped happily and Ace smiled, sliding the box to the floor as a tiara fell out.

Ace hopped off the table and reverted to normal, taking out a cloth and picking up the tiara, muttering "A Diadem. How strange." before adding "This guy Voldemort… I really overestimated him, Fawkes."

Fawkes chirped in confusion and Ace continued "I thought he would hide his Horcruxes all around the world, turns out, the dude only hid them in England… And multiple were in Hogwarts…" his lips twitched as he looked at the Diadem, muttering "Maybe this is a fake Voldemort…"

He wrapped up the Diadem and put it in his bag, transforming into a cat as he ran away, going back to the wall.

The door reappeared and Ace left, looking around the halls before jumping into a courtyard and disappearing within the castle.

He looked around a corner and saw no one, strutting out before walking into a room and kicking the door closed.

He reverted to normal and sat on the ground, taking out the Diadem before pouring drops of Basilisk Venom on it. The Horcrux screamed the same shrill scream and Ace stared at it as black smoke floated out, trying to… scare him?

Ace wasn't too sure, but he wasn't exactly scared. More curious.

He wondered whether a Horcrux was even worth making. First of all, it's incredibly difficult and as shown, should they be found, is a severe detriment to the wizard himself!

Why you may ask. Well, according to Ace, a wizard may split his soul through an act of pure murder for no reason other than murder. This was all well and good, putting your soul in an object was very complicated but doable… However!

The Horcrux acts as an extension of your soul itself. While making a Horcrux may be painful, the item becomes your soul, therefore your soul is still a sum of 1.

You could make a million Horcruxes, however the total sum will always be 1 soul. This does not mean you will be weakened by the number. If you can handle it, you can make millions of Horcruxes.

The root of the problem is; should one of these Horcruxes be destroyed, your soul will cease to be 1 and be 6/7ths or 999,999/1,000,000ths. This means that your power as a wizard will decrease accordingly.

Therefore, should you make 10 Horcruxes and one of them is destroyed you will operate at 9/10ths of your full power. Not to mention the damage it will do to your body and soul!

All in all, Professor Ace does not recommend creating a Horcrux. Even if you have a spot that you're sure won't be found, the risks outweigh the benefits. The so-called Immortal life is only relative.

Look, Voldemort created 6 Horcruxes and then killed himself by accident. You don't want to be like Voldemort, do you? Listen to Professor Ace.
