It needs to be done

"Either of you two seen Aki?!" Asked a barely dressed Xera, bursting into her grandparents hut. A bit before the sun got up?

"Enemy attack?" Asked the still sleeping shaman as he got up with a start.

"What's he done this time?" Asked his more well rested half.

"I can't find him and I'm afraid..."

"That bastard ran away right before battle?!"

"Wait, we're talking about the boy? I saw him leaving, carrying sacks of that powder he keeps making on his spare time, said something about you being strangely calm when he told you his plans?" Offered the man who was quickly awoken by the screaming.

"Stupid asshat! That's what bombing their graves means?! How am I supposed to know what that means?" Cursed the woman who just understood the strange bedtalk.

"Back up a bit, did you just say..."

*BRROOOOOOUMMM*

As the sound of chained explosions and roaring fire filled the air, the albino woman was pretty sure that yes, her granddaughter had married a mad man, but they might just get out of this without losing at least half the village.

If the forest doesn't burn down.

As Aki sneaked around the goblin advanced camp with mental waves of 'who gives a fuck, I need to get drunk' radiating from his position, he noticed that yes, goblins here were just as explosion prone as he'd hoped.

Like they had some kind of instinct telling them to pile everything flammable in one place so someone could take them out in the blazing glory of gunpowder.

Well, he could only produce blackpowder for now, but when he learned how to create a vacuum for so many nescessary components and produce true smokeless powder, it'd simply not be worth the price. Or the risk.

It would not be able to kill stronger monster, nor would it be very effective against some tipes, normal people could still kill each other in droves much more easily.

In the end, Aki didn't have the time or mana to keep thinking such things while keeping himself alive in a camp so pack full of goblins. There were at least two hundred or so here, plenty of mages and a couple commanders with exceptional strength.

He'd strayed far from the later whenever he saw them.

There was one problem, however. Yes, one of the commander's had bought a human woman. Big tits, lots of scars, a beautiful voice that screamed like a bird sang, yes, he understood why she was here.

He'd imediatly have deemed her a pitiful sod who would become his XP and would not have changed his opinion if not for the curses he'd heard when he had been planting bombs on the tent.

Apparently she'd been given as a prize to this commander, originally having previously been part of the goblin king's harem. He could use that.

It took only a small strain to instead sharpen her perception while keeping his general spell, if more costly. It was worth it, since when he appeared in front of her, she'd long notice his steps.

Instead of saying anything, the both of them looked in the other's eyes and Aki nodded before making small dirt shoes around her feet and cutting the ropes on her.

"Can you walk?" He whispered by her ear. He didn't miss the shiver she had, but he really didn't have the time to care at the moment.

"They cut my ankles, that's why they bleed." She explained in a low and raspy voice.

Not seeing a reason to speak anymore, Aki got down to a knee, preparing to carry the woman in a piggy back.

She hesitated at first, but it took a mere gaze for her to wrap her arms on his neck.

Getting out was actually easier than getting in, since some guards were drunk and some were running towards the burning pire he'd quickly made after getting the woman on his back. She was surprised how quickly the tent he shot started burning, but Aki didn't say a thing before he'd spent five minutes running away from the camp, completly ignoring the thunderous explosions and roaring flames.

"Ok, this should be far enough for the moment. Sorry, but I've no way to summon an elemental or something to carry you. We're about three to four away from my camp, so instead i will heal you and point you in their direction, more than enough daylight for you to reach the scouting and war parties, they will get someone to get you to the village. Before you ask, i'm not doing this out of the goodness of my heart or because i was paid to get you in specific, i just overheard you mentioning things about their main camp, which is where i'm heading. Info for shelter and treatment?" He told the woman after having laid her agaisnt a tree's trunk, giving her a bowl where he summoned water on plus some jerky, hopping her stomach could handle it well enough after the captivity.

After she drunk her second bowl of water.

"I don't know much, but i can tell you right now that they have at least a couple of thousands. There was a whole pen of females, mostly monsters, but some demis too. Me and my sister were taken for the king so he could get stronger goblins." The look of disgust on her face made it clear she'd be spitting on the ground if she wasn't more likely to spit blood than saliva.

"Great to know. Already got the beggining of a plan forming, so do tell if you can think of anything, even if it is about the king's asshole, it could be useful." Aki nodded, putting his left hand on her right foot. "And no, i can't give you my cloak, that's where i'm hidding my tools. I'll do you one better though." He said with a small smile, touching the tree she rested on.

As various branches started to bend and groan to surround her, Angela flinched and shuddered, but powered through the trauma by bitting the inside of her mouth. Noticing that she wasn't actually being restrained, she relaxed a bit, though she was still quite surprised as she saw the tree's leaves weaving themselves into a green top and an ankle lenght skirt combo.

"Well, i'll be healing you now. Don't be too scared if you feel contractions on your genitals, that's just me cleaning." He said, forgoing to mention the great itch and the restrains he imediatly imposed. He'd not been kidding Xera when she first regained conciouness in his care.

A barrage of curses later.

"Haaa..."

"All done. Now, about my associates?"

"Yes?" She asked after regaining some breath, not really knowing how to deal with what just happened or how this young man was so cold.

"They're lizard men." He let that sink in, the look of shock on the woman made him think it plenty nescessary. "No, i'm not kidding, even married one of them, so don't say something that will make me undo my work."

"You'd attack another human over some lizards? " She was honestly surprised.

"I'd attack about anyone if they offended my wife. I need you to decide if you want to go there or try your luck on the wild. I assure you, if you give me useful information then they would easily accept you for a stay and treat you as a guest. Be warned though, while i'm not personally interested in every individual of the village or you, if my wife says something your head is going to roll. If it turns out i rescued an asshole, then i'll instead make you beg for death." He flat out laid to her. "I am a reasonable ally miss, just be civil and i will personally escort you to the nearest city after this whole debacle is over with."

She was scarred, he was pretty sure the fact his intimidation skill turned to level 4 proved such, but that didn't nescessarily mean she was just going to cooperate. He'd even made sure to sound like someone important and stand so as to cast a shadow over her face, but he could only hope it to be enough for her to behave.

"I, I understand sir."

Having sent the woman away, Aki noticed he'd almost maxed out a second job, soldier, the explosions of before killing more than enough clueless idiots for the 'assassin' job to get to 100, nevermind the bonus XP from getting a person out with him and remaining both undetected the whole time.

He'd chosen 'soldier' as the job to get the stragglers of the points, and really, his loyalty and tactical thinking during the interrogation actually granted him a good chunk of levels.

As a result, he now had the 'field trapper' job. As in battlefield trapper, not the forest variation. It actually gave his laid traps bonus damage in general and made them easier to be overlooked.

Truly a magnificent combination with his field kit. And the crescent area with lots of spiked pits he left over the back of the goblin camp. He wasn't going to check it yet for a multitude of reasons, but he was quite certain goblins were cowardly, so they'd naturally fall for those. Possibly even get rid of a commander tipe with it.

He just needed to wait till the numbers stopped climbing. Any second now.

...

As his level shot to 73 after what felt like twenty minutes, the numbers finally stopped going up. Aki really couldn't imagine what it'd take to level a job like dungeon master or the like. Thoughts asside, it was time to go see what kind of hell he'd unleashed with that magnesium dust he scattered around.

...

It was huge. The ground was full of scorched burns and corpses, like some kind of black snow had rained and cursed the area. If not for some still burning tents and a couple of tress on fire, all of which Aki imediatly extinguished, he'd wonder if he somehow had been teleported to a completly diferent place.

He had no need to reach his ground traps to feel the smell, but he actually really wanted to see if either commander had fallen and died there. Their equipment could actually be quite useful if they had even a normal enchantment like he thought they had.

Sound the drums for luck and... Yes! One of them is there, actually still alive and bleeding a lot because of the spikes, though it was the brute that fell, so his equipment might not really fit Aki's build, but maybe he had a ring or the like?

Turns out it didn't, but hey, levels.

*****

Finding the other commander was actually quite easy. He'd have found the goblin stampede even if he'd not just leveled his tracking skill.

While he'd definitely not be able to normally kill the twenty to thirty survivors...

*Boom*

People and monsters generally contain a lot of oxygen. Magnesium steals a lot of oxygen. Fireballs cause a lot of heat and fire.

As a result of all said truths, a forested area with ten kilos of magnesium dusts sprinkled all around burns like pure hell fire. It was truly ironic how easy it was to light the thing in this world compared to earth.

'If I actually knew how to make blue iron I'd have used thermite instead, but I guess...' *Fwoom* 'They had a water mage? Damn, this is going to be a bother to put down. Well, might as choose a new job. Maybe finally get magician and unlock the magical versions of some other jobs while I'm not trying to break a wall.'

After he selected his next job, Aki then decided to look at the unlocked jobs as he waited for the last goblin to fall down. He'd give then each some time burning after they stopped screaming before actually believing them dead, so he'd not be fooled by one strangely resilient goblin.

Possible jobs:

Arcane assassin. Wizard. Magical warrior. Swift warrior. Apprentice alchemist. Arcane courtesan. Tempter. Thug. Field commander. Engineer. Field engineer. (element) mage. Scholar. Philosopher. Apprentice actor. Apprentice politician. Healer. Monster healer. Architect. Berserker.

'The clear route is obviously monster healer, healer, apprentice alchemist, alchemist, berserker, arcane assasin, magical warrior and then wizard, but I might need some other kind of boost and I will clearly be using those sex jobs, though getting levels on them is clearly going to be more difficult since our power difference is clearly decreasing and the requirements are getting higher. No use complaining though, I'll just have to train her harder in the use if magic since she is clearly in a good enough shape to break another wall. I do wonder what she will become after, but she clearly wants to go towards a more dragon like style, so she will also need to study some works.' Even if she wanted to point the achievement towards his 'heritage' as an otherworlder, it was clear to him that she simply had reached the necessary stats and skills while reaching a state of mind closer to a dragon's.
