5 Awakening

Ray groaned as he fell. The height of the tower exceeded more than a standard four story building.

'Ah?'

He stood up on the pavement he fell on. His sight dizzy from the fall as he felt nauseated.

He glanced over to look at the pool of blood on the bottom and he checked to see any wounds.

'Not even god wants me to escape my fate..'

But what questioned him the most was that though there was blood, he had no wounds and even more onto that.

'I'll do it another day I suppose.'

He began walking off to the nearby creek to wash up the blood stains off his green robes as it stains the pure water of the creek.

But due to the mana richness in the creek and some runic circles, the blood dissipates and it was all gone. This was Moire, Moire's Magic Academy to be exact.

The bell rung three heavy bells as it showed it was time to get into the public sessions. He walked away after setting up his items to dry. Some basic enchantments ensured the process of its drying process and he wouldn't have to walk to class in nothing but underwear or wet clothes. He put on the robe once more as it felt quite a bit damp. The enchantments were of all the basic components and didn't have any necessary ones to effect one's ability or battle prowess. It was there to cut cleaning cost for the robes and which also was paid for in the tuition for great condition student wear to walk out. He scurried off as a warning bell rung and reached the main hall, where students were running amok to their classes in hurried manner. The symbol of the school, the sun with a waning moon in its center was their regalia and he arrived at his class. The door opened automattically with his presence and he covered his face as he head to the back of the room. The chattering of the children was common as most students held noble or wealthy names under their belt to pay such tuition fees. And some teachers would accept gifts and bribes for their children's success. But he got in through a teacher's reccomendation and it was very limited. The magicians in the world knew talent was key for most of the subjects on magic and made exceptions for poor talented magicians to join. But with their regulations on them, it was scarce and often humiliating to be in for. Most students could buy their own enchantments up to the 1st level, or circle if one must. Such as Armor Buff 1, or Fire Skin, a basic fire resistance enchant that allowed one to get out scathe free from a burning fire but on contact would still cause damage. The one usually in the front was one he despised and his robe clearly shows that it had at least 2-4 enchants and they were all moderate leveled, an expense most students couldn't pay. But it was understandable, the man was the son of a Baron, the Baron of Moire at the very most, meaning his status was quite high. His name was Adam van Moire, and beside him were his bodyguard and other students similar of his standing, people of the Moire Barony fiefs which gave them quite prestige. The moment he walked in, they noticed him get in the class and began talking.

"You're still coming back? Just scram you incompetent nobody"

They chuckled at the most childish of their group's remark and he walked away, still hearing what they spoke in doing so.

"Why does he come? He has no talent in magic and is usually in the library, he should live there..."

"Yeah, definitely, even if one were to be a bookworm, they must have magic powers as well!"

He held his wand high and a book in front of him lifted up.

Level 0 Magic was usually taught and mastered by students, some 1st Level Magic was given as well upon their final year in the academy. And after their admittance, they had the choice of choosing a magic tower, with similar organizations of a military division. The Inferno Tower, was known for their flame magic and their red robes give off the presence of valor, strong passion, determination, and power. Flames are there to present one's control in the art because if somebody could not, the fire within and without would cause destruction to themselves and their surroundings. The Tide Temple was yet another prominent one with the second most mages and usually showed control over their emotions and flow of the world. They have strong connection with mutuality and usually wore robes of blue. The Gale Spire was another one with a substantial amount of mages and presented openness to their surroundings, they had quickwits and usually wore green robes. The Earthen Citadel was for their persistence and stubborn nature. The Gale Spire and the Earth Dome usually fought for the next spot in numbers of mages and usually sport on the usual brown robes most mercenaries wore. Of course, being affiliated to an element tower didn't mean they were limited to that element alone, just that they have talent in such more than others. And magic towers was just a term given to organized groups of mages and the towers they usually build, some of the magic towers don't even comprise of towers. But of course, the major ones do hold a tower in the capital, Solreach, the treasure city of the Sanghael crown. Some other ones also have control in the capital and aren't significant in the matter, such as the Star Observatory, and Alchemy Tower also reside in Solreach.

Ray stood in the back where the most secluded desk was found, his usual seat covered in cobwebs and dust building up in the corner.

He quickly sat himself where he checked to see the mage who was gonna do the open study casually slouched to his desk.

His eyes were sagging and they held utmost little care of this matter.

"My name is Mr. Monte...I shall begin the open session."

In the distance, the very location where he took his fall, the pool of blood began forming into a slime-like blob, as it began sliding to the host. The blood was no longer there and it showed much interest in its surrounding, heading toward the classroom.
