1 Prologue

I just came from my work and I'm tire from head to toe. I can't wait to take a nap and doze the night off. Can't wait to hug the pillows and feel the warm of the bed. I just want to take a rest all day long.

As I open the door of my house my I saw my wife's angry face. Not knowing what I did, I just walk pass her as if I didn't see her. I can still feel her glaring at my back it gives chills to my whole body.

"What day is it today?!" my wife ask with an angry tone. I turn around and see's how really angry look. I then suddenly think of the date today but I don't think there is a special day today. Did I forget something?

"I-I don't know Hon," I answered consciously.

"Seriously?!" as she scream I felt my body tremble from fear. Her hand turn into fist and slowly walks forward.

"I'm sorry, I really don't know Honey," I walk backward as she walks closer to me.

"I can't believe you Anthony," she said with disappointment in her tone. She then massage her head.

I just notice the some few changes in our living room, I look around the living room, the room is filled with confetti, balloon, and there is even a cake in the table, as if as birthday party was just done in here.

No way. Today is our daughter's Birthday today! My Angeline's Birthday! How can I forget her Birthday! So dumb Nathan!

I run to my daughter's room, she's fast asleep. She's even wearing here birthday hat. I gentle remove the hat from her head and kiss her forehead and gently pat head.

"Happy Birthday," I whisper to her ear tho she can't hear me. I'm so disappointed on myself. I silent leave Angeline's room and the face my wife, Selena.

"She was waiting for you, she didn't even enjoy her party." My wife said unemotionally.

"I'm sorry..." I feel down on myself for forgetting my daughter's birthday, I didn't even bought her a birthday present.

"Sorry? Seriously Nathan? Where were you?!" Selene yell out loud. All I do is close my eyes and receive all her word because its all my fault.

"I'm at work," I answer defeated.

"Work? You didn't even thought its your daughter's birthday?! How could you Nathan?!"

"I-I'm really sorry."

"Damn it Nathan! You don't spend enough time with us anymore! Tell me! are you seeing someone behind my back?!" She scream loud as if she's a lioness.

"No, no I am not. I would never." I answer sincerely.

"Then why are you doing this to us?! Is it that you co-worker Vanessa?!" She once again scream accusing me of having an affair. I sigh out of disbelief, she's bringing someone in our fight again.

"She's out of this, just stop Selena."

"Stop?! Me?! Your telling me to stop?! You stop! Stop from being irresponsible father and husband!" She just said the most offending word.

"I'm not! I'm doing my all best just to give you what you want!" I fight back, she just stepped on my pride.

"Out!" Her arm raising pointing the door.

"What?" I ask confusedly.

"YOU'RE OUT OF THE HOUSE!" Her voice shake my body, I got nothing to fight back so I just walk out of the door and left the house.

I guess I won't be able to hug the pillows and feel the warm of the bed tonight.
