Find My Lost Cane

Sid went to the mall when it was exactly 10:00 am, time passed and everything went smoothly... well that was the plan.

A man walked passed Sid, when he saw Sid he blurted out "Hey is that you Sid?".

Sid looked at the man, he had short blonde hair and deep blue eyes. He looked luxurious as he wore his black suit.

'It was one of Sid's classmates

Sid uttered, "No I'm not Sid, you got the wrong person" and he turned around once again to continue to head towards where the VR device for New World was being sold.

While he was walking though, he stopped as his phone rang. He turned around and looked at John, his classmate who was currently holding his phone.

John smirked and stopped the call, "It was you after all, why did you try to run away from me? Did you think I would make fun of you or something?".

'Oh yes I do, I think out of all my classmates you'd be the only one to do such an awful thing'.

Sid casually spoke, "Nope, I'm just in a hurry. So would you mind if I go now" as he pointed towards the direction he was going to.

"Don't worry I just wanted to ask if you've seen where Wendy went", said John.

'Wendy is probably John's current girlfriend'

Sid spoke, "I don't think I know anyone that goes by the name Wendy, so you are asking the wrong person. Can I go now?".

John finally noticed the problem, "Well I'm sorry for taking your time, I forgot that you still haven't met her. Oh right, you should join the class reunion next month. It'll be fun".

'Should I go? well it's been a long time since I met most of my classmates'.

"Fine I'll go, just message me when and where it'll happen", said Sid as he waved his hand. Just like that Sid left John.

"Oh well, I'll meet him again next month".

Time passed and Sid finally got home, he greeted his parents and went back to his room.

"Did Sid not go job hunting?", said Sid's Mom.

Sid's Dad casually said, "He's probably just taking a break, and he'll continue his job hunting tomorrow".

"That makes sense...", said Sid's Mom.

Sid opened the box that contained the VR device, he got shocked when he saw what was inside.

Sid couldn't help but mumble to himself, "A ring... what in the world? how does this work? Those VR boxes probably work even better than this thing".

He read the instructions on how it worked and he tested it out, it was quite simple actually. All Sid had to do was wear the ring and lie on a bed or sit on a chair. He only had to answer yes when the ring asks him if he wanted to enter.

Sid casually put the ring on his index finger, that's when he felt something pricking the said finger. Sid heard a voice in his head.

He was sent to a room that was nearly empty, only a mirror was inside the room. When Sid went in front of the mirror, he saw some options.

"Why isn't there any option for changing genders?".

[It's for the purpose of Male players getting tricked by Male players acting like a Female].

"That's a good reason, but why is it that we can't change our facial features and such?".

[So that Female players won't get tricked, by not really handsome men and of course this also applies to women].

Sid didn't bother asking anymore, his hair turned white and his eyes turned purple. At first he was unclothed in the room and his little brother was dancing in the air, but now he was wearing clothes. He was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt, black pants, black gloves, grey belt, and brown shoes.

Sid pondered for a bit, while he glancing at how his character looked. He spoke "I'd like to go by the name of Azazel".

With a flash of bright light, Sid vanished from the room.

Sid was teleported once again, he looked at his surroundings and found out that he was in the plaza of a village.

He asked around the village and finally knew the name of the village, it was Wald Village. Surrounding this village was a forest with no end, as players could only leave this place when they reach level 10. This can only happen through teleportation.

He asked the players around where they got their swords, and found out that the village elder gave it to them. Sid of course went there.

"Village Elder, I heard that you need some people to help protect this village", said Sid.

The Village Elder spoke, "Young lad thank you for asking, but the village already has enough protectors".

Sid was stunned, 'What the hell, then where am I supposed to get a weapon?'.

Sid logged out and checked the internet of places where he can get weapons in Wald Village. He found out that there was a limit on how many players that can accept the village protectors quest. Sid could only get a martial arts skill if he wanted to level up, and he would also get knuckles as weapon. For people that wanted to get magic spells early on, they could also do the quest "Find my cane", which came from an elderly lady. She doesn't give any weapons though.

Sid logged in again and went to the old lady, she noticed him and spoke "Can you help me find my old cane?".

"I would love to be of help, could you tell me where you lost it?".

"I don't remember how it happened, but I lost it near...".
