6 Space Ring

Neid who was 100 kilometers away could only watch the scene in blur through the telescope, but the shadows were blown away from the cultivator each time the cultivator made a move! The cultivator seemed to be using multiple battle techniques in a single moment as all kinds of energy ravaged his surroundings.

But as time passed, even Neid who was a newbie to the cultivation world could see that something was wrong with the battle situation! Most battle techniques expended Qi and the amount of Qi that can be stored in one's Dantian is limited! And higher the grade of the battle techniques, the higher the amount of Qi they costed to use!

But the cultivator was using multiple battle techniques and expending a lot of Qi. At this rate his battle efficiency would only drop as he could use battle techniques lesser and lesser number of times.

Losing was only a matter of time at this rate!

Neid instantly became even more wary of his situation. He immediately left the scene and operated the diving treasure to swim towards their island!

The grade 2 diving treasure expended valuable 'Condensed Spirt Rocks' to operate its functions but Neid did not try to be frugal at the moment. He operated the diving treasure at its fastest speed without caring for the costs.

The area of the battle was very near to the island and it barley took an hour to reach the place on the rowing boat. Neid returned back in just five minutes using the diving treasure and hurriedly ran towards the house.

Entering the house he saw Sadre sleeping peacefully in the hall. Suddenly his previous anxiousness disappeared. A smile appeared on his face.

Neid slowly laid beside Sadre and closed his eyes. Soon he drifted into the feeling of quietness and peace as he fell asleep.

By the time Neid woke up it was already early evening. He had missed lunch and was quite hungry. He moved towards the kitchen, only to find Sadre roasting some wild mushrooms that grew on the island.

Space rings can only be operated by the marked owners safely. If others tried to forcefully open the space ring, the space inside the ring would collapse and destroy everything inside it.

All the food that they had brought was in Neid's space ring, so Sadre who was awake and hungry, could only roast the wild mushrooms that they had harvested in their first exploration of the island to satiate his hungry stomach!

"Hehe! Master, wait for two minutes, I will make you something!" Neid almost burst out laughing when he saw Sadre, who was drooling over the half roasted mushrooms! He hurriedly sent Sadre away from the kitchen and started preparing their food.

"Master, I saw a cultivator today!" Neid confessed after their late lunch.

"Oh!" Sadre did not show much interest though. To him there was no difference between a common man and a cultivator.

Seeing his master's reaction Neid continued and said. "He was fighting shadows when I saw him!"

"Ohh!" Sadre was little more interested after shadows came into play.

"There were three shadows! Each looked different from the other but they had the three common characteristics of shadows." Neid closed his eyes as if recollecting the appearances of the three shadows.

"The cultivator was very strong! He could use multiple battle techniques simultaneously without failing even once!"

Sadre nodded his head slightly. "He must be a genius!!"

"Oh!" Neid did not understand why Sadre praised the cultivator suddenly. Wasn't his master indifferent when he first mentioned the cultivator. "Master, is that cultivator really a genius?"

"Neid, how can you be so naive!" Sadre shook his head. "All Cultivators attract shadows passively, but cultivators who use their Qi in the outside world attract shadows actively!"

"Battle techniques use Qi to showcase their might! But using Qi attracts shadows actively, thus it is very hard to be proficient in multiple battle techniques as they would consume a massive amount of time and Qi. Most of the times, cultivators end up dying in the hands of the shadows before they could get proficient in a single battle technique!"

"But according to what I hear from you, that cultivator was able to use multiple battle techniques simultaneously! This could only mean that the cultivator was a genius, or he was lucky enough to not attract the shadows even after using a massive amount of Qi in his practice which is quite impossible in the world of Nirvana!"

A bulb suddenly glowed in Neid's mind. Not only did he understand Sadre's words, but he also comprehended the reason behind why the cultivator was using multiple battle techniques and expending Qi at a faster rate!

The cultivator wanted to kill the shadows as soon as possible! This was because as time passed the Qi he expended in the battle techniques would end up attracting more shadows. The only path the cultivator had was to destroy the shadows as soon as possible before fleeing from the scene!

Upon thinking of this Neid felt he had made the correct choice leaving the scene! If, even more shadows had been attracted to the place, he, a harmless spectator might have been implicated!

The cultivator was probably dead already! Though the cultivator was strong and could be considered a genius of the cultivation world, he did not seem to be capable of defeating the three shadows anytime soon!

Neid wished peace to the cultivator's soul in his heart.

Today they did not venture out of the house to explore the island. After what Neid had said, Sadre did not allow him to go out and thus they spent the whole evening in the treasure house. The treasure house was the safest place at the moment!

Three days, that was the time Sadre did not allow Neid to get out of the treasure house.

Today, the sixth day on the island, Neid rowed to his usual bone refining area. He put the rowing boat into his space and dived down upon donning the grade 2 diving treasure!

He slowly swam to the area of the battle. The waves had already calmed down in the place. There was no signs of shadows, or the cultivator but Neid did not take chances as he took the telescope out, and only upon making sure that there was no threat in the surroundings did he start searching.

The waters were deep and the ocean was endless. After Neid had left the scene the cultivator could have moved a 1000 miles while fighting with the shadows but to Neid's surprise he found a space ring as soon as he started searching!

He took the ring into his hands but did not stop searching just yet. After another four hours of futile search, he returned to his usual training waters and started refining his bones.

Two hours later he had digested the medicinal essence of the two pills. He immediately returned to the island and cooked lunch for Sadre.

After lunch he placed the space ring before Sadre and asked him to take a look.

"You are saying that you found the ring as soon as you stared searching, but found nothing else even after four hours of searching?" Sadre did not touch the ring directly, but asked a question.

"Yes, master."

"Hmm!" Sadre looked as if he was thinking something for a moment and nodded to himself.

"Try to open the space ring!" Sadre said.

Neid said. "Master, if I try to forcefully open the ring, the space inside the ring will collapse and it would turn useless!"

Neid said that, but he still tried to open the ring using the power of his mind space!

Using a space ring required mind space to operate it. But most mortals did not have sufficient quantity of the mind space and thus they were unable to use a space ring even if they received one.

But Neid was an exception. He was naturally born with plenty of mind space and often operated his own space ring! This was also the reason behind why he carried the ring instead of Sadre!
