Rough breathing could be sounded as a silhouette ran past the mangling den of trees under the night sky.
Behind the silhouette, a pack of 5 wolves could be seen running towards it.
Eric was the one who the wolves were after.
Eric thought so in his head, ''It's strange that the nightmare wolves would be out for a hunt in this part of the area. The forest sure has been getting strange lately''.
Thinking so, eric dashed out a small spherical object and threw it towards the running wolves. In an instant, something magical happened as invisible sound waves came from the object, instantly scarring the wolves to death.
With a frightening screech, the wolves ran away.
After picking up the spherical ball eric thought, '' It only has 5 more uses left. This should be enough''.
The ball-like thing was a new type of animal scaring weapon developed by the mage association. As it was very new in the market, it was quite expensive, however as an heir to the Williams family, it was not a big deal for Eric.
The world eric currently lived on was a knight and sorcery world with a vast number of kingdoms, dynasties with an innumerable number of churches both good and evil.
Eric was the only son of Earl Jon Williams, a noble in the kingdom of Lucrias.
When people saw Eric, they would see a talented good-natured young man who had a bright future ahead. Especially since he was bestowed with a mage talent since birth which was extremely rare.
However, nobody knew of the fact that Eric had a system.

Eric who has been running nonstop got even more excited after hearing the alert.
Eric was a man from Earth who later reincarnated into this world. While young his past life has been quite blurry. However, as he grew older, more and more memories kept appearing. In his past life, Eric had been a high school student who was about to go to university. Unfortunately, one day, he got hit by a truck while walking home, eventually leading him to reincarnate in this strange new world.
It was only until recently that he got complete memories of his past life. It was also then that he found out that he had a system.
The system was quite weird as it had a timer on it the moment, he laid his eyes on it. All eric could think of is that the system was currently getting used to this world, and it probably needed 16 years to be fully activated. Everything else could be conjured after the system activated.
Now the reason eric came to Green Forest was that he was unsure if the system's activation would cause any form of disruption to the surrounding environment. Hence, to be safe he came running to the mountain peak in here.
This whole forest was under Earl Jon's rule and Eric knew the place as the back of his hands. He quickly came near a cave and soon went inside it.
"Only 30 more minutes, then I will also have a system."
Eric felt that even if he did not have a system, he would live quite a good life. He had no brothers or sisters, his parents loved him, and in the future, he could quietly inherit his father's nobility and live on as an Earl. Moreover, like his mother, he also had a mage talent, so his position would be further stable. The kingdom was not in a bad shape either and was even a subordinate of a mage organization.
As Eric was dozing off in his thoughts, he finally heard the sound that he had been longing for.

Eric did not want to be a nobody who died as an insignificant noble in this vast world. This world was extremely vast, and with his current tools, only being like those high gods could satisfy his thirst.
