✨Yuri✨

Like what Nueve mentioned in L.A. Angel was a beast when she sobered up. She trashed the cabin where she woke up with me, her eyes bloodshot red, and her tantrums were, well, that of a kid. Even the Spaniard with me was surprised to see how mad Angel was. I had allowed him to be free from his restraints and he helped me stop Angel from destroying my jet until we landed in Siberia.

Uno fetched us at the airport but Angel pulled him off of the driver's seat. We were holding for our dear life as she drove like a fúcking F1 driver on the highway. The traffic patrol seems to take no notice of Angel like the last time I saw her drive this way just a month ago. Whenever she's in a bad mood, I noticed that she tends to do life-threatening stunts like this.

The three of us let out a deep breath when we reached Isiah's place unharmed and intact.

Angel slammed the car door, the house door, and her bedroom door plus the bathroom door, too rough that the painting hanging on the wall jerked.

"What happened?" Uno asked me as Isiah walked out of the kitchen.

"She was injected with some kind of drug in the club," I murmured.

"Liquid ecstasy with a little twist" the Spaniard second.

"Who might you be, young lad?" Isiah asked the stranger.

"Magalo Martinez at your service, señor" he offered his hand to Isiah and Uno "but please just call me Alo."

"Aren't you one of Sanchez's capo?" I asked worriedly. Why did stupid me forgot to ask for his name again? Isiah might rip off my head because of him. His place is now compromised because I brought this fúcker with us.

"Was" Alo smirked "I found the love of my life and I would do anything for my señorita."

Uno laughed loudly "let's have a drink outside then amigo." We all looked upstairs when we heard the sound of glass shattering. "Come now. Señorita will be alright. No need to fret." The Spaniard nods, or was he even a Spaniard at all again?

When they were out of earshot, Isiah placed his arms around my shoulder. "still up for that deal, Yuri?"

I sighed "what's going on with her?" We heard another sound of Angel's angry roar and a string of curses in ten different languages.

"Andi is dead honest when she's high and she can't forgive herself for telling what she really feels." Isiah handed me a glass of whiskey and we sat on the couch. "She doesn't admire lying but she hates being honest. I bet she told you how she feels for you?" I stiffened. This man really knows Andi that well? "I'll take that as a yes."

The braking of things from her room seemed to stop. I sighed for the nth time today. I wanted to know if she was okay. She could be hurt by that glass she broke, or worst she could bleed to death.

"It's safe to go upstairs now, Yuri."

I took a few deep breaths before knocking on her door, once, twice and she isn't opening the door for me. Sough, I twisted the doorknob open and heard the shower running. Her room was clean, I was expecting it to be trashed from all the shattering sound I heard earlier. Deciding to wait for her inside her room, I sat on the bed, the same one we shared for a night before I got stabbed. The same bed where she had almost given herself to me.

Her room was as simple as her, bookshelves decorate the wall, a guitar rests on her desk, and a picture of her, Isiah, and a lady graze her nightstand. I froze on my seat when I saw something that looks oddly familiar on top of one of the shelves. Standing up, I took frightful steps to scrutinize closely the ring resting above one of her books.

"What the hell?" I took the ring and examined it. This is not possible. Alex's initials were engraved inside the gold ring and our family symbol decorated the top of it. Each one of us has the same family heirloom made since we were born and I can tell that this isn't just a copy, it's fúcking real. My legs weakened and the blood on my body boiled in anger. Why does she have Alex's ring?

The bathroom door opened and my eyes landed on the only clue I have on Alex's death. The authorities ruled his death as an accident but I never believed any of it. I've always felt that something was off, Alex was never a reckless driver and I'm staring at one hell of a reckless driver right now.

"Why is this in your possession?" Angel's eyes glanced at the ring on my hand and back at my face with a blank expression. "Answer me, Andi!"

She shrugged her shoulders "that's none of your business."

It took me two steps to wrap my hands around her neck, pin her on the wall, and pointed my Glock at her temple. "Tell me. Why do you have my brother's ring?"

She looked at me with an emotion in her eyes that was foreign to me. "Bite me."

My eyes narrowed at her "don't test my patience, Andi. Did you kill Alex?" She just chuckled evilly. "Do you think this is funny? I can fùcking end you right now!" I cocked my gun.

"Do it" her eyes held no fear "DO IT!!!" She snarled.

The door burst open revealing a very calm Isiah as he studied me and Angel. His eyes gaze on the ring which had fallen on the floor. "Come with me, Yuri." I looked at Angel one more time before lowering my gun and let go of her neck. "You too, Andi."

"Pùssy" Angel murmured as I followed Isiah out of her room after picking up my brother's ring.

I was moving on instinct right now while I followed Isiah out of the house to his Land Rover. "Take the back seat, Yuri. Andi and I need a little chat on the road."

As soon as we hit the road, Angel started playing with Isiah's radio. She knew how to piss off someone with the kind of music she blasted on the radio.

"We're being followed," I announced when I saw the same sedan from the city.

"They are on our tail since the house, princess." Angel rolled her eyes on me through the rearview mirror. Why was she mad at me when I should be the one mad at her.

"Go punch something," Isiah ordered. "We can't go to Sev with this mood of yours." Angel snorted before sliding out of the car. "Let her" he instructed me when I was about to get off and help her.

I settled on watching her have all the fun. I wanted to punch something too because I can't lay a hand on the girl who is the center of my frustrations. A minute later, Angel climbs inside the car with a little less frown on her brows while she wipes the blood off of her hands.

"What happened to that guy, Alo?" Isiah asked Angel when the car roared to life again.

"He's like a leech" was all she said before they fell into laughter. Maybe it was an assassin thing, I didn't get what was funny in Angel's words so I settled on fiddling with Alex's ring.

His death was a scene vivid in my mind. I never wanted to be Dad's successor, it had always been his destiny to be the next Laskin in command. Alex and I were pretty close and his absence left a hole in my heart that no one can fix, not even Angel.

Isiah and Angel chatted about weird stuff the whole ride. When I mean weird, they talked about the oil price hike and what team would win the NBA. I thought that they would talk about the ensemble or something related to their job but no, they are talking about the fúcked up stock market.

Here I was, bothered by my brother's death and there they are, talking about who's gonna win the election this year.

We stopped in the middle of nowhere, I thought that someone needs to piss but I was surprised at what Isiah instructed. "Go ahead and knock."

I followed where he was looking at and I saw a humble cabin being directed by a gravel path.

"Who lives there?"

"Big mafia heir, scared of the old crazy witch in a cabin?" Angel taunt.

"You'll know, Yuri" Isiah murmured and I was left with no choice but to do as he asked.

I knocked on the walnut door, my eyes must be playing mind tricks on me.

"Yuri?"
