19 Chapter 17

*Dimitri's POV

I sat on my bed with my head in my hands. I felt so many emotions anger, sadness, and fear. I was angry that she had left to go with her no-good stepfather. The night that we found her mother dead, I found out that he had her killed. Then acted like he didn't do it, I don't know what he has planned but it can't be good. Which is what made me scared. I don't know where he took her but it's not like she was forced to leave she left of her own free will and I didn't stop her. I run my hand over my face to get my emotions in check and try to think of what to do. I picked up my phone and started texting instructions to all of my men telling them to figure out what he has planned and to figure out when he came back and other things. Afterward, I take a shower and put on a black suit. I then sit and think about everything that has happened. The first thing that came to mind was Leo. No one has heard from him and no one has seen him. As I think everything starts to make sense. Leo knew Haze was my soon-to-be wife and he knew he would meet her soon. He faked his death so he could get off my radar for a while, and he knew Haze was my soon-to-be wife from her stepfather. This all means that they are working together to do something. And whatever it is it's not good. I call some of my men and tell them to go to Haze's old house. I grab my guns and my car keys. I drive fast to Haze's house hoping that she's okay. Once I arrive I park away from the house so no one can see me. I tell my men to wait around the corner till I say so. I see men standing in the yard and I see lots of cars. Leo was here. I pull out my phone and tell my men to get ready and that this is a rescue and capture mission rescue Haze and capture Leo and Haze's stepfather. I then take off my suit jacket and put on my bulletproof vest then grab my guns. Once I see my men arrive I run up to the house and shot the men standing at the door. My men follow behind me we have silencers so that we don't draw any attention and I made sure not to bring too many men which can also draw attention. Once we made it up to the door I picked the lock and we all went inside we shot all the men and told the women to be quiet. They all ran out as my men grabbed Haze's stepdad. Told my men that I would go upstairs alone knowing that Leo and Haze were up there alone. Once I made it to Haze's bedroom door I could hear them talking Haze didn't sound scared, I sighed in relief. But then I heard Leo tell Haze that they are supposed to get married. Over my dead body, I say to myself angrily as I bus open the door. Haze looks at me in shock and relief and Leo looks at me with a smirk on his face. I call up a few men and tell them to take Leo. Haze looks at me then down at her feet. "I'm sorry I left," she whispers. I put my guns into their holsters and walk over to her. I left her head up so she can look at me. I give her a big smile then a small kiss on her lips. She lets out a sigh probably happy that I wasn't mad at her but how could I be when she looked so beautiful. "It's okay, just don't do it again you almost gave me a heart attack," I say with a small laugh as I hold a hand over my chest. She giggles and nods her head. I grab her hand and we walk down the stairs "Hey remember when we first met down here" she says as she looks around the house. I let out a laugh "Yea" all the memories start to come to my mind. I couldn't help myself when it came to her, my plan was going to get to know her a bit then make a move but I made a move on the same day she had just met me. I look at her as she seems to be thinking about something. We walk outside and go to my car once inside I look at her and she looks at me waiting for me to start the car. I lean towards her and kiss her, not a peck but a deep and passionate kiss. I slowly pull away and we both look at each other as we try to catch our breath. We hadn't done that in a while because every time we get close to something seems to happen. I then grab her waist and pull her on my lap I pull the seat back so there is enough room for us both. I place my hand on the back of her neck and turn it to the side giving me full access to her neck I place my lips on her neck and begin to suck until I see a dark red mark. I smile at my artwork then look back at her. "I love you," I tell her "I love you too," she says with a smile. I sit her back in her seat and start the car. I drive as fast as I can to the house ready to do so many things with my soon-to-be wife. I then realize that we will need to start planning for our wedding, which will be coming sooner than later.
