Katie's POV

I wait for Joey outside of my apartment building I know I can't stay here but I have now where to go and no money I already gave him his $500 for this month so now I'm out that then I have $5 dollars to my name and I don't get paid for 3 weeks I don't know what I'm going to do "come on baby"Joey says as he walks to his car holy shit this is his car it cost more than I have ever made in my life why does he want me I'm so far out of his league I don't deserve him I'm nothing a nobody and he is a somebody. Joey opens his trunk and puts my suitcases in then walks over to me and opens my car door and pulls me into his arms I'm now back in my safe place "are you sure your okay"? He asked me I can't tell him no that creep put his fingers inside me and he touched me can I but I can't lie either I cared too much "no I'm not." is all I say

Joey's POV

I look down at her and she's crying softly I know she's not telling me what happened "I'm here if you want to talk" "can we talk in your office Joey?I need to tell you everything not just today I want us to work and the only way is if we are open and honest with each other" she say I smile " I agree I have to tell you something as well Katie" "okay promise me one thing"she says softly  " what's that? " " You won't hate me too much I....know....." She trails off before she finishes " you know what " I ask as I look at her "your not going to ....w...wa....want me anymore" " Katie look at me" when she doesn't I take my fingers gently under her chin and bring her face up to me "look at me baby"she finally lifts her beautiful brown eyes to look at me I could get lost in those eyes and die a very happy man but right now there is so much pain and hurt in them and I would do anything to take it all way. "nothing that happened to you today or in your past would stop me from wanting you I'm falling baby hard and fast" she smiles at me " kiss me" " always" I said as I lean down and take her lips with mine and a tender kiss when we pull apart we are breathless " let's go" I say as I help her in the car and hand her the money order she gave that dick for rent I walk around and got in on the driver's side once we start driving " my rent money you got it back" "course I did now do you want to stay with me in one of my guest rooms or my room preferably or I can rent a apartment for you whatever you're comfortable with" "with my rent money Joey I can get my own place now" "not one that's safe and not a dump" "true I can't have you paying for my apartment" "then stay with me" " can I think about it"? Walking into my club together she goes to my office to put her bag and purse in there where it's safe Jamie walks over to me "it's taken care of. Did he hurt her?" "Yeah I think so she hasn't said anything yet but when I got there her dress was pushed up and he had her pined down" " Damn I'm sorry Joey" "doesn't change how I feel I just have to do better to protect her" "I'll help I have a feeling she's going to be my sister-in-law one day"I laugh at that he's not wrong she will be one day if I have my way "to early for that Jamie but I do care more than I should for just meeting her yesterday" "I know I can see it Riley can too she just don't know who" "let's keep it that way for now please" " your the boss" "Jamie I'm your brother first you do know that right? "No it's good to have you back" "thanks Jamie" I turn my attention to my staff that is now gathering around the club I see Katie come around the corner and stand alone just behind the other staff her head down I don't like that her confidence is gone she had a little yesterday now none that creep took it it will be all right baby I promise you that I will fix it you will be happy again " attention everyone thank you for coming in early today for those of you who are just starting normal time to come in is 1:30 we open at 2:00 and we close at 2:00 a.m. if we have a staff meeting it will be posted in the break room now I want to introduce a new member to our management team Ms. Mantella is the new weight staff manager if you need something or have an issue she is the one to see as with Mr Gotti and myself she IS to be TREATED WITH RESPECT is that CLEAR. Ms.Mantella please take your place up here please" I watch her walk up to me and Jamie I see the hurt and her eyes I'm not sure why it's there because of the use of her last name or what happened this morning she stands next to Jamie and he whispered something to her and she moves to stand next to me * whispers*" Sorry" I look down at her  "Katie don't you have nothing to be sorry for"I say quietly then I turn back to my staff "if anyone has any questions now is the time if not please get changed and ready for work " I turned to Jamie "Katie and I are leaving at 7:00 you're in charge then okay" "yep we're good" "good" as the staff leaves we hear somebody say she's only the wait staff manager because she's sleeping with the boss or bosses "really let me find out who said that" Jamie says pissed " thanks Jamie" "yep oh and the office that connects to your office I'm having it cleaned out and redecorated for Katie it's not professional for her to share with you and we don't want shit like that that said the file you asked for last night will be ready in an hour anything else boss" "thanks Jamie" I turned to Katie I see tears In her eyes she heard what was said FUCK now I'm pissed"Jamie I want whoever said that in my office NOW understand" Jamie looks at Katie and sees the tears"you got it boss"I can see he likes Katie he is protective of her like he is with Riley he sees her as a sister already and I'm glad turning back to Katie I put my hand on her back and say "come on Katie let's go to our office baby" she doesn't say anything she just walks to the office "damn" I say as I walk to my office once inside I close the door and pull Katie into my arms I hold her close while she cries in my arms "shh shh baby talk to me what's wrong" "I can't take this job no one is going to respect me because they think I'm sleeping with the boss worse yet the bosses" "Katie stop that's not true they will respect you or they don't have a job did I miss something because you're not sleeping with me are you sleeping with my brother and I don't know about it" I say the last part with a playful smirk that way she knows I'm just teasing her "No" she says giggling and playfully hits me in my chest I smile and lean down and take her lips and mine in a tender kiss "don't let anyone get you down okay gorgeous" "I'll try did you want to talk now or later"

I say pulling away I help her sit down in my chair then I sit across from her "sorry boss K..Ms. Mantella"I laugh and Katie giggles at him God I love to hear that sound " it's"I start to say when Katie says " Joey please " "okay okay go ahead" I stay with a chuckle " It's Katie please" "yes Katie,I have three servers that want to speak with you both" "is it regarding the comment that was made?" I asked " yes Sir" " send them in" I watch as Jennifer Samantha and Riley walk in "Riley what the fuck really I thought you would have more respect for me you're fucken brother then to do something as stupid as that" I see tears in my sisters eyes and right now I don't give a fuck that remark put tears in Katie's eyes made her feel less than she should as I wait for her to answer I feel small hand on my shoulder and her intoxicating smell of lavender God I love that smell "Joey Stop let her explain" Katie says I look back at my sister "so Riley please tell me" she wipes her eyes and says "thank you Ms. Mantella Mr. Gotti I didn't say it I overheard what was said I'm here as a witness for Jennifer that's all" Fuck I yelled at her I never yell at my sister "I'm so sorry Riley I...I...I thought he would have listened to you not yell at you I'm so sorry"Jennifer says to Riley " Don't it's fine you don't deserve to be yelled at either on the other hand Samantha does" "why" I asked calmly "Samantha is the one who made the comment why because of what Lily told her" "Lily told her what" Katie ask "everything how you stole Joey from Lily because you're nothing but a whore" Samantha says "for one I was never with Lily never even showed interest in her she's not my type never has been two what happens in my personal life is none of anybody's business three she's your boss I suggest you start respecting her and not be calling her names"
