40 Meet the Sus Rainbow

Keira was strangely amused as they stepped into Banoufield Police Department.

Even as Nate clearly showed his abhorrence towards the police in general, he refused to let her into the precinct alone. Although, he insisted that they have to park a couple of blocks away. Reason unknown to her, aside from his dislike of the police force.

Before coming here, he also kindly stopped at a convenience store on the way to get her a pair of slippers – not wanting her to walk in uncomfortable heels again. Such a gentleman, for sure.

"Thanks for this," she said when they waited for the officer who handled Ryan.

He waved his hand dismissively, "Ugh… they sure take  their time."

"It must be their tactics to make us worry and do as they say."

"Don't tell me you were arrested once." 

"I knew that from binge-watching serial killer's documentaries and crime series. Besides, what could I possibly get arrested for?"
